If you are serious about kicking off your new year’s taco cleanse, this is the place to start. Doesn’t matter which meat you go with, the key is to allocate one salsa verde and one salsa rojo to each taco. After consuming 2 – 3 of these volcanic mini-bombs, be prepared to wreck some porcelain and burn through a redwood tree’s worth of toilet paper. If you have a hot date later in the evening and want to lose about 5 lbs via liquid fire removal(via your backside,) make sure you hit up this place early so you have time to recover. I’d also recommend staying out of public for about 6 hours afterwards because people might mistake that look of pain, exhaustion, and an overall sense of hopelessness on your face with aggression. But rest assured, these aren’t fighting tacos, they are fire tacos!

HANDSDOWNBESTTACOSEVER! Last week I went in 5 days out of the week. They know my order when they see my face. The barbacoa is EVERYthing I expect dreams to be made of. Seriously. So good.

Very surprised that a place like this was so close. Very affordable and great authentic Mexican food. Just had it for lunch, and I might go back for dinner. Hopefully the tongue tacos will be back soon.

I am not sure what all the hype is about, I am a fan, but it’s not the«best tacos you’ll ever have» type of place. They use corn tortillas and put cilantro and onions on their tacos, which is great as those are authentic Southern California style tacos. If you want you can add cheese and extra’s, but who wants to mess up a So-Cal taco. The place is extremely small, definitely a take-out place, so atmosphere doesn’t apply here, but it seemed clean. Staff is great and are bi-lingual. I will say if you want tacos im Marietta, this is the place, but I have had better ones in Woodstock of the same So-Cal origin.

My favorite place to get tacos! Everything is seriously delicious and cheap. Get the horchata to wash down the spicy tacos.

Hanging out off windy hill with friends. Stomach growling and i wanted Taco T. Everyone else wanted pizza, but i was gonna get my taco fix. I tried this little spot months back but didnt forget how delicious it was. As i started to eat my food, everyone couldnt resist the awesome smell! Lets just say, they ordered tacos because they couldn’t help but stare at me eat. I ordered the hard shell tacos in ground beef and one in chicken along with a steak burrito. You can get soft shell as well. The red/green sauce is so good, the red is spicy. The tacos come with sour cream/lettuce/cheese. I have asked for guacamole but they dont seem to make it here. I did have avocado added to the steak burrito.(Deliciousness) all wrapped up in a fresh flour tortilla. What i hate most is Taco T is 59miles away from home.(If it wasnt, i would eat here weekly)

The tacos and burritos here are pretty good, and the prices are low. In addition to Mexican style tacos, they also offer hard shell tacos, for those customers that like to make terrible decisions. Warning: Taco T is very small and fills up quickly during lunch. Best to go early or avoid the lunch rush altogether.

Still awesome. We go there enough now that they know us by our order when we go through the drive-thru. It can get busy at lunch time and there’s limited seating, but definitely worth trying. My personal favorite is the bisteck, some manner of tasty steak. Also, try the cookies! Buttery, sugary, cinnamony goodness.

I love this place… since my friend told us about this place… we’ve had tacos at least once a week… sometimes…5 times a week… don’t judge me. The tacos are really that good… I’m more a hard shell taco person, they’re always fresh & delicious… and my wife swears by the soft shell tacos… and they’re CHEAP!!! They are the top taco place I’ve been to.

Soooooo. After watching my Wolverines lose to Sparty on the last play of the game and drowning my sorrows in some Jack, my wife asked if i’d be down for some taco’s that night, I said I’m down for anything except watching football. I thought we were going to the spot in the Smyrna square but she said we were getting authentic tacos and we showed up here. The tacos were only a $ 1 a piece so we ordered 10! The only bad thing i could say about this place is it took us 20 – 25 minutes to get our food but it was well worth the wait. I now have a new lunch spot for my coworkers and I can Visit!

Quirky, Takeout, Drive Thru, small Eat-In Joint. Sauces are authentic and spicy. Tacos are very good and flavorful. A testimony to the place is that a fellow customer said I had to try their best drink, a Horchata so he bought me one.

The value of the meal is my reason for giving 5 stars. I usually get steak tacos at post tax price of 1.06 nothing special about the physical building or location, but the people work hard. The wait time for my steak is my only issue, but I think I’m the only person ordering those.

Hands down the best taco place in Atlanta. My usual go-to on the menu is 3 tacos bistec and a bistec burrito, both American Style. Can’t beat the price either. The tortillas for their burritos is delicious. I think they make it in house. I love these hole in the wall joints. I kind of hope they open up chains because I’m worried the quality may deteriorate. But then again, I live off North Druid Hills and its a bit of a drive to Windy Hill. It’s always worth it though.

Taco T is where it’s at. You can’t beat a buck for their tacos. Tacos are tasty and I would easily pay more. Their sauces are great too. So why three stars(wish I could give 3 ½)? Well, the people who work there are nice, but they aren’t properly staffed. Every time I go through drive thru it’s a 25 minute wait for tacos!!! I really think it’s one person working the front counter and drive thru. Going inside is much faster. It’s still worth going, because of price and it’s actually tasty. C’mon Taco T, add a staffer for drive-thru so your workers aren’t running around like their heads are cut off.

Oh Taco T, how do I love thee? Let me count the ways. I love thee for your hard shell chicken tacos, deliciously crispy. I love thee for your sauces, both green and red. But mostly, I love thee for your drive-through that allows me to procure delicious sustenance while still in my pajamas and bedhead. Basically, this place rocks.

**So, I went on a bit of a taco tour y’all! I got the idea from the folks over at Buzzfeed which is seemingly the most fun place to work on the planet! A group of Buzz-feeders decided to go on a tour around their city eating their weight in tacos. It made me so hungry for tacos that I decided to do the same thing. Of course I started on Unilocal and visited some of the highest rated Taquerias around the city. Yum! This was an assignment I could really sink my teeth into and it’s inspired me to do this every so often, experimenting with various genres and specific dishes. If anyone wants to join me, just let me know! :) ** Taco T was my first stop. The building isn’t very fancy on the outside and when I pulled around to the drive-thru the sign was so faded out I could barely make out what it said. The call-box was also broken, leaning and looked like it’d seen better days. For these reasons I was slightly nervous but I placed my order anyway. I think it was because I LOVED the idea that it had a drive-thru at all! Sweet! I ordered a #1: three crunchy, beef tacos and a soda. I pulled around and waited, and waited, and waited. It seemed that the order in front of me was taking a reallyyyyy long time; I almost left! But I decided to hang in there and finally it was my turn. The guy at the window was pleasant and he handed me my order with a big smile. I had a little time to kill before running my next errand so I decided to eat in the parking lot.(Don’t act like you haven’t done this! Haha.) I started eating and immediately loved the freshness of the meat and the homemade taste and crunch of the tacos. I did think that $ 5.43 was a bit steep for three small tacos and a 12oz CANNED soda but I didn’t mind too much since I really enjoyed the taste. As I ate, I read the sign on the restaurant window in front of me. It said, «handmade flour tacos, made daily». Yum! Yep, the sign got me, I decided I couldn’t leave without trying a fresh, soft taco. So, I finished my meal and rolled back around to the drive-thru and placed another order. DON’T YOUJUDGEME! Lol. This time, I ordered three $ 1 soft tacos: Barbacoa, and Chorizo filled. I pulled back around to my parking spot and dug in once again. Man, those fresh tacos were hot, flavorful and just plain delicious! I loved the taste and texture. I swear those tacos were made just for me when I placed my order. I loved Taco T! I’d definitely try more things next time.

BARBACOATACO The best I’ve had yet. Meat is so gleefully flavorful and tender. I can’t get enough of this taco. I think they braise it with ginger and some other herbs that are very similar to my grandmothers and mother’s slow cooking, so this one hits the spot. Every time. CHORIZOTACO One of the better chorizos I’ve had. I like the flavors, and that it’s not too greasy. The meat can be sometimes more charred or crispy, which i really like. CARNEASADATACO The meat is tender and cut into smaller pieces. Good flavors here too but not as strong and good as the barbacoa or chorizo. CHICKEN not my favorite taco here. The others are much better. Chicken is not as flavorful as others. MANGOJUICE Delicious. Refreshing. Get it with your tacos. Wash all the yumminess down. HORCHATA I like the horchata too but I wish it was just a bit thicker and a bit more cinnamon. It can be a little on the diluted/light side.

This place is great. The food is flavorful and fresh, and the prices are very cheap. Yes the tacos as small, but 4 will fill you up and it’s only $ 4! The burritos are very big and only $ 4.85. Today I had the Pollo, Asada, Descado and Barbacoa. The Barbacoa was definitely my favorite, and the lady working the register agrees as she pushes that meat if asked. All tacos come with onions and cilantro and a lime or two in the basket. A guy in our group asked for cheese on his taco and no onions. She snickered, but not as much as when he asked if they had chips and salsa. She laughed and said«That’s Tex-Mex». And she’s right. Don’t come here expecting some suburban American Mexican place, this place is authentic. They serve tacos on corn tortillas, tortas, quesadillas, burritos and a couple of desserts(flan & tres leches). Definitely a must go if you love Mexican food, love cheap food or if you are feeling adventurous. If you don’t let the restaurants façade scare you off, you won’t be disappointed.
