Worst hair salon experience I’ve ever had. I am a student and called for a student rate to get a weave and dye the ends of my hair. The receptionist told me that weaves are $ 100 and dye is $ 25/bundle. as a student! When I got there they made my appointment with the owner who is $ 225 for weaves and her sister colored the ends of my hair of my hair for $ 35/bundle = $ 70 just to dye the ends of my hair. I switched to another stylist to get the $ 100 weave. For $ 100, she sewed my hair in, blew dry my leave out and parted my hair down that middle. That is all. My hair was not even combed, literally just installed. Styling was an extra $ 25. My hair turned out to be $ 200 and I am a student. My weave is not smooth and the color faded 2 weeks later. I will never ever return here.

Ok so after not being able to get in touch with the company who I had bought my deal with about getting a refund, I decided to try one more time to get in touch with The Hair Weaving Center. Luckily this time someone answered, and after expressing my grievances about not being able to get in touch with someone, I did go ahead and make an appointment. By this point I just wanted to use my voucher and never have to deal with this place again. I was pleasantly surprised however, when the next day I got an appointment reminder and I’m a little fuzzy, but I believe they also called to confirm my appointment. Very professional and I felt better knowing I wouldn’t show up to a closed shop. When I arrived on Saturday I was greeted by name, and that definitely made me feel welcome. I got in the chair about 25 minutes later and I was quickly braided up and my head didn’t hurt. I was very pleased with Sandra’s work. Then another snag came when I had to wait about three hours to actually get in the chair to have my weave installed, so I was a bit frustrated with that, but it was a Saturday. I just felt like they didn’t have many weavers and it seemed like only Sandra could do my hair. So many more stylists would help. Overall Sandra was a very professional stylist who did great work, and I am surprised to say, but I will most likely be heading back to The Hair Weaving center. It would have been a five star review had I not had the initial contact issues and had not sat for three hours between braiding and install.

Sandra does my hair and she is excellent at what she does and because of that I bring my books in to read while I wait and if I can’t reach her or the salon I’ll drive up there to get my questions answered. I don’t have time to be hair salon hopping. She is sweet and kind her technique is excellent. I got my first sew-in ever in April. I explained to her that I needed to get through the summer months without worrying about my hair. I was so confused because I’ve never had a sew-in before. Since I play tennis religiously three times a week, practice and teach yoga I needed my hair to be maintained without getting perms every eight weeks. I decided to make an investment in the care of my hair. Sandra picked the hair from her selection that was appropriate for my hair texture. To make a long story short. I have never seen a weave like this… my hair looks so natural. I can wear a ponytail. My braids underneath are so neat and perfect. The hair was a perfect match. My husband is so picky… but he loves it. I catch him staring sometimes. A stylish/owner of a salon in NY commented on her excellent technique. She maintains my hair every two weeks. My goal is to keep my weave until October. The hair last for a year and redo every 12 weeks. I want to say so much more — but I will end by saying I’ve been to «Professional» salons here in Atlanta the owners have been rude or have out right lied about services. So since I’m pleased with Sandra I think I’ll stay a while.

For one, the stylist pretty much offered, it didn’t take much convincing. As a shop owner you might want to consider YOUR prices for booth rental/commission as well as the loyalty of YOUR workers then ask yourself why YOUR stylist would need/want to do hair on the side. BTW, I work for multi-million dollar clients that indeed ask for discounts and receive them! That’s business… I’d think as a shop owner this is something you’d know about. But, I do agree with you on the the point of not patronizing a business that doesn’t meet my expectations that’s why I no longer go to your salon. I will promptly be removing my 4-star review and flagging yours. Since going to this salon I have found much better places, even in Cobb, that do a great job and have reasonable prices. Last point, and I believe clients will agree, it’s not about being cheap it’s about getting a quality service or product at the right price. And as I said before, the product is overpriced and apparently so is your booth rent.

I really like this place. I’ve only been once so far, but I was pleased with the work and the prices. They are a lot reasonable than other places I’ve gone. The stylists were pretty nice. I just hope my style last a long time.
