I came on a Saturday night and it wasn’t really that busy. But I had pretty bad service here. My waitress took our order and we got our food(not given to us by our waitress) and never saw her again. We waited almost 45 minutes for her to come back but no avail. I had to get a different waitress to get us refills and then after we were done with our meals, she finally showed back up. But just to give us our check. I don’t think I’ll ever go back to trevi. I was very disappointed because I heard this place was great to eat at.

Hey guys, So my husband and I decided to share our Valentine’s Day at Trevi Restaurant in Smyrna. My husband and I enjoy the great food but tonight we had such poor service. We sat down and waited 15 mins before we saw our server. By the time she came we knew what we wanted. She took our drink order and came back quickly with drinks at that time we ordered and she served us bread and then shortly later soup and salad was served we ate and then our food came. I know this is sounding so normal. When our food came Haley said she ordered spaghetti with meatballs not meat sauce she then said she would go get them for us… We never saw our server again after that we waited 40 mins a server did come and refill our drinks and give us cheese and still no meatballs. Finally we told a waitress we were waiting on meatballs and poof they were brought to us with steam coming off of them. Hmmm what happened to our waitress? Finally after sitting longer and plates in front of us glasses empty the hostess asked us if we wanted boxes, that’s when we told her we wanted to see the manager… Out comes 30 year old part? Owner. We told him we had not seen our server nor has anyone acknowledged us and he says — – we have that HUGE party in the other room we reply not our problem then he says we are a small family owned restaurant and its Valentine’s Day ok so several excuses were thrown out and all he offered us was dessert. Ok so I get it they were not equipped to handle so many people? Is that what the Manager just said??? And to put whip cream and cherry on the evening we mentioned the awful service we got to our waitress and she said a few curse words at us and walked away. Wonderful customer service, not

This was the second time trying this restaurant. When the dinner salad came I was very optimistic, it was beautiful. We ordered prime rubber apparently instead of prime rib. It was so tuff it could not be cut with a steak knife and the baked potato was overbaked. Needless to say there will not be a third trip.

The food was great try the bruchetta. Excellent quality and huge portions. Poor service long wait to be waited on. Food came quickly. Took over fifteen minutes to get our waitress and even longer to pay. Poor service can ruin a meal

Not very happy with the wait time on a Saturday day. There was only one server and we waited at the door for ten minutes only to find that the place only had four tables and she was both sitting tables and serving them. A good fifteen minutes before we were even offered drinks

so I’ve been here once before and gotten a gluten free buffalo chicken pizza and I came here this time and had *terrible* service. my friend ordered his food and it came with a salad. here is the list of things that went wrong from there: 1-his food came out before his salad 2-his food and salad came out before my food so I got to watch him eat for at least 5 minutes before mine came out 3-after I got my gluten free«buffalo chicken» pizza, we never saw the waitress again until we had both finished eating and we flagged down another waitress to get our waitress so she can get our check 4-my«buffalo chicken» pizza was supposed to have buffalo sauce but was really just cheese and chicken, no sauce. I let it go bc it was edible, I was hungry, my friend was nearly done eating and I knew it would take forever to fix. 5-my pizza was listed on the menu as $ 14.99 it literally just said $ 14.99 gluten free. when the check comes it says $ 20.00. I asked why and the waitress – who explained early on that she was new – said Ernie rang it up and I would have to ask him, so I did. he came over and said $ 14.99 was the price for cheese only. he offered to take some of the bill off which isn’t what I was looking for to happen, I just didn’t appreciate the fact that it was false advertising. anyway… 6– we ordered a bottle of wine and got asked 3 times by 2 people which one it was on the menu. on a positive note my friend said his food was really good. he ordered the pasta forno. because of him, this review gets 2 stars instead of 1. if I ever come back – which will be hard to do – I’ll do take out.

Hidden gem. Best Italian food in Smyrna and even maybe Kent county. Caesar salad is a MUST. Excellent menu options and a great deal for the money. You can leave there with a full belly with cash still in your wallet. Highly recommend, you won’t leave disappointed. Sign up for the reward card card they send you coupons!

Unfortunately a miss for us. Out of towners passing through… waitress was very friendly but pizza took so long to come out and we were really disappointed with it. No wood fire taste. poor quality ingredients for a gourmet pizza.

Amazing food. Amazing staff. Well priced. We live an hour away and we will be back. The manager, Mona waited on us tonight and she is the best in the business. The definition of customer service. Bravo to the owners. We will be bringing the entire family next time. I ordered the Manicotti for $ 10, huge portion, salad and homemade bread included. Husband ordered meat lovers stromboli for $ 12 and could only eat half because it was so big(and he’s a big eater) both of us are from Italian families and hard to please with sauce. No complaints. I’m in love with this place.

Very good food, service is always fast and food is fresh. I always get the Chicken Picata. My son always get the pizza. The drinks are very good they free pour which is very good for those of us who like a decent amount of alcohol. Wait staff knows you by your name or face and bring the Bread the way you like it I love this place.

Trevi Ristorante is probably the best sit down restaurant in Smyrna. That being said, there isn’t a lot of competition and there are some things they could do to become better. I’ve been to Trevi once or twice a year for the past four years and have always enjoyed the food. The pizza is some of the best I’ve had which is saying a lot having lived in New York State for the first 24 years of my life. The entrees have always been great; especially the veal and chicken parmigiana dishes. My new favorite thing to order are their cannolis. These things are huge and incredibly tasty. Their shells are always crunchy and flaky and the filling is light but sweet. Some of the things that I think could make this place better are toning down the décor and hire better servers for more consistent service. There is beautiful stone fountain the the center of the restaurant and a full ceiling mural. While they are both very nice to look at, they are a bit much. The service is somewhat hit or miss depending on when you go and who you get for a server. Everyone who works there is very nice but waiting for refills or getting the wrong food is frustrating. One of the most memorable things about Trevi is that the owner is always there working hard in the kitchen and he’s always very appreciative of the people who come in to eat. When he recognized us after just one visit, it made us feel very welcome and is one of the reasons why we continue to go back.

My husband and I stopped I this afternoon for a pizza. We were seated quickly and pleasantly. We knew what we wanted and even after looking over the menu and seeing some interesting looking specials, we decided we still wanted the pizza. We ordered a large pie with the intention of taking half of it home. Pie was reasonably priced at $ 11.00 for a large and each topping was extra. We added three toppings and it came to roughly $ 19.00 for it. Not outrageous. Place was busy so it did not come overly fast nor too slow. Now I have to admit, Being a born and raised«New Yawker» I am a bit of a pizza snob. Sorry to all those who reviewed the pizza in this place as great but mine was far from it. First, I could tell by just looking at it, it was overdone. When I went to use the pizza server to pick up the first slice, it was like picking up a thick piece of cardboard. There was no movement from that pie at all. The crust was over cooked which was again evident from the first bite. You really needed to cut it before you could get a piece in your mouth. Sauce was not to my liking at all as it was very sweet. Some may like that but it overpowered the toppings. Oh yes, the toppings. I wanted extra cheese and I guess my idea of extra cheese was not their idea of extra cheese. We also had mushrooms and pepperoni which were ok. Honestly, I have not have anything else from their ala carte menu and that may be wonderful but this pizza was not. Overall, as I sit here typing this review, suffering from heartburn from the sweet sauce, I have to say it was far from the best pie we have had in Delaware and I doubt we would try it there again. There are definitely better pizzerias in the Smyrna/Dover area and we will be going back to those places to enjoy a good pie. Now, where did I put the TUMS?

Read the reviews for this place and decided to give it a go. Upon arriving, it seemed pretty busy for a Monday. We got the Crab boule and combination a la Ernesto for apps. The combination was good. The broth was a little on the salty side but had good flavor. The bread was okay. As for the crab boule, it was a very rich crab dip. There should have been a disclaimer that this appetizer could feed 4. As for entrees, I ordered the chicken Chesapeake while she ordered the chicken penne with vodka cream sauce. The chicken Chesapeake could’ve had more chicken but the crab on top more than made up for it. The penne was good as well. The portions were large. The only reason I didn’t give it 5 stars was because they were slightly understaffed. By the way always get the Caesar salad. Delicious. I am looking to try other items on the menu to give it the 5 stars.

Ever since moving to Smyrna, Trevi has become my go to spot for great food. The prices are excellent and the servers make me happy to be there. I recommend it to anyone looking for Italian cuisine.

I’ll be honest… when I first saw the exterior of this restaurant, I cringed. The building looks sturdy, but you can tell it’s showing its age. Robert Irvine should come on over with his sledgehammer and clean up a bit. That being said, however… My parents have gone here a few times since moving to Smyrna and keep telling everyone who will listen that Trevi is the best place ever for Italian food. On Saturday(04⁄26), they treated me, my boyfriend, my sister and her husband to a post-Easter dinner(no reservations required, I found out). Usually, when my parents say a restaurant has excellent food, I tend to nod and smile; their tastes don’t necessarily mirror mine. But this time, I have to say… they were right on the money about this place. Our server(Paige) was amazing. She was friendly, charming, and very helpful in explaining items on the menu. They make everything from pasta to stromboli to pizza, so there’s really nothing you can’t find on the menu. We decided to order the Rustic Meat & Cheese Plate for an appetizer, which came with slices of prosciutto de parma, sopressata, roasted red peppers, and provolone and mozzarella cheese. Everything was delicious. No fatty pieces on the prosciutto, and the provolone was mild(I can’t stand stinky or overly sharp provolone cheese). Also, the bread they gave us to dip in olive oil tasted like it just came out of the oven. I could have made a meal on that alone, it was so good. For the main course, I ordered the Cappellini a la Chef(jumbo shrimp and sauteed mushrooms in a light blush sauce with angelhair pasta). I was given the choice of either a garden or Caesar salad or soup of the day; I chose the Caesar salad. God. Almighty. That Caesar salad was EVERYTHING. The lettuce was crisp and fresh, the croutons perfectly toasted and seasoned, just the right amount of parmesan cheese sprinkled lightly throughout, and the dressing was Trevi’s own homemade Caesar. Words fails me in describing just how delicious that dressing was. They need to bottle it and sell it. Move over, Paul Newman.(Wait, he’s dead, isn’t he? Crap, now I feel really bad.) Moving on… My entrée was large and I couldn’t finish it, although I really wanted to. The blush sauce was a study in balance: not too thick, but creamy enough that it captured the sweet tangy flavor of the shrimp and the earthy essence of the mushrooms. And the best part? My boyfriend and I agreed that out of all the Italian restaurants we’ve been to in both New York City and Hoboken, not one of them comes close to Trevi Ristorante in terms of how they cook their pasta or make their sauces. I don’t remember exactly what everyone else had(my boyfriend had spaghetti with diced meat and red sauce, which he loved but couldn’t finish either), and my sister’s husband ordered pizza with peppers and onions, which he thoroughly enjoyed. I can’t wait to come back and try whatever else Trevi Ristorante has to offer, but I wish they’d get rid of the large Christopher Walken chef near the door. :-)

The food is descent. Better than average but not great. The décor is really bad. Is it a Italian village or an Albanian disco?
