Here’s the skinny on Spa Stinny. I am usually willing to give any business a chance, but when I walked in the first thing I see at the reception area is a framed poster on how much to tip, and on three levels of tipology. Excuse me but tipping is based on the quality of your experience and at that point my experience hadn’t happened yet. I don’t need a lesson. I am a good tipper, and have never seen such a blatant solicitation right in my face. My massage was average at best. The room was noisy. I could hear talking, giggling, phones ringing from the hallway which detracted from taming my stressed out chi. There are better spas out there.

I had one of the best massages at this spa. I like the fact that the waiting area seems almost soundproof as you walk in. The atmosphere is calm –as it should be! The front desk clerk was vibrant & alert. My masseuse was a lady named Linda. She is the best masseuse around! They best hang on to her because she is totally doing my next massage!!!

Divine intervention brought me to Spa Stinny yesterday. I needed a deep tissue massage in the worst way, and not only were they able to accommodate my request, they still allowed me the full time even after being a few minutes late. The manager told me if they didn’t have other clients waiting, it would be no trouble. I enjoyed the ambiance and calm the place exuded, and my stress levels were high when I got there, but I felt amazing when I left. You will hear other people if you opt to pay attention to it on a busy day, but the music is a lovely distraction from noise interference, and I loved Elizabeth’s skill and dexterity as a massage therapist. I’m pretty shocked to see a one-star review for Spa Stinny, and I wouldn’t let that affect your decision to visit the spa. Their prices are ridiculously low, and they don’t sales push you into their membership plan. The manager was in attendance, and she was incredibly polite and professional. I’m just glad I know how to use my GPS and redirect from a major intersection blockage, because I would never presume a receptionist’s customer service relies on her inability to be a navigation system. There are also at least four different back-roads options. When I went to book my appointment online, I noticed a very clear policy on cancellation fees, and were I to show up with my party over an hour late during what looks to be Valentine’s rush week during couples bliss, I certainly wouldn’t whine, rant and cry scam and foul. Spa Stinny is certainly no scam, but unfortunately they can’t control bogus reviews from adults who lack individual accountability and the ability to take personal responsibility for their shortcomings. I’ve been to deluxe spas, mid-level and smaller franchises, and what Spa Stinny lacks in frills and luxury, they make up with great massages, great customer service, and excellent pricing. My husband and I will both be getting a membership with them, and I look forward to a relaxing massage every month for 2015.

Spa Stinny is by far the worst spa in the industry. Earlier this month a group of friends along with myself were advised that this spa would be really nice for a relaxing birthday event. Due to several of us being from out of town, we made a phone call to the spa because of a major road block and the receptionist advised us to just follow the GPS, which was the first strike in poor customer service. She told us she had no clue about the major highway being blocked and basically did not know how to guide us there. After several phone calls being made about the major road block and the receptionist being totally clueless about how to get there, we were advised that our arrival time would be late. Upon arrival there were two massage therapist that refused services claiming that they were booked and we would still be charged with no option to reschedule or anything. If this was indeed the policy any receptionist at a real spa would advise that this would be non refundable or at least give the option to reschedule but this was not disclosed to us. A phone call was made to the manager and she was the most unprofessional person one could ever encounter. She threatened to come up to the spa and yelled and screamed at us in front of her lobby that had customers sitting waiting to obtain services. I was appalled at her poor skills involving customer escalations and would not send a dog to this spa. ITSHOULD be entitled SPASTINKY because the manager Iyanna is extremely rude and condescending and told me to call the BBB! I have never been threatened by staff or any manager especially for a birthday event. She did not care that the major road that led to her SPA of hell was blocked and that her staff was incompetent and lacked any type of customer service skills. SPASCAM at it’s best what a horrible business! Please don’t waste your time at this spa!

I am new to the city and needed a massage badly. I read a few reviews and decided to try this place. What a surprise! It was pleasing tranquil inside and I was greeted warmly. I was taken back by my therapist Jerrel and I shared with him I have MS and where my pain was and he gave me the best massage and stretching ever. I gained some mobility back and range of motion in my arm. I will definitely return.

I absolutely loved this place. My college roommate was in town for my birthday weekend and we decided to try this place out before returning to school. The price was great. Massage therapist was very professional and pleasant. The music was very relaxing, only problem was that the sound of water in some of the music made me have to use the restroom. Will definitely return when in town!

I was pleasantly surprised with this spa. This is similar to a chain spa, but they are not pushy about a membership. They are very accommodating with times, dates and male/female therapists. I had a massage with David and he was very professional and good. Yes, the price is dirt cheap. Yes, you can hear voices in the next room or hallway but just concentrate on the spa music. The price and service definitely make up for hearing a few voices. I will definitely go back.

This spa is beautiful, clean, professional, and has fabulous services. I started going here about a year ago with back pain and my massage therapist was very attentive and I been signed up for the membership program because I was so impressed. The other star service offered is the facial. It is the best I’ve ever had. I love this spa!

I came here for a 2 hour massage in March 2014. THEGOOD: Walking into the front door is always how I can tell if I’ll like a spa. It was quiet(because no one else was there), peaceful and serene — exactly what a spa SHOULD be. The guy at the front desk was really nice and polite. The massage itself was pretty good. The masseuse didn’t talk much, so that was nice. I cannot stand small talk, especially during a massage. THEBAD: I guess depending on the room you’re in, you can still hear noise from the lobby and hallway and even the next room. It’s annoying when you’re trying to relax and all you hear is people laughing, walking by, phones ringing, etc. Would I go back? Yes. I might request a room farther in the back though. Also, I completely forgot to ask if my appointment was with a male or female. Luckily it was a woman(for some reason I’m not comfortable with a male), but remember to ask first if that’s important to you.

Very good massage experience — they are very competitively priced(half the price of Spa Sydell)… relaxing environment(despite being in a shopping center next to Kroger), nice«spa» music, and a very good massage therapist. I really enjoyed it and plan to come back regularly. Also — there was no «hard sell» regarding a membership package(which is SUCH a turnoff!)…

I had an amazing experience today. I went in with my Groupon and a wonderful massage from Britney, who may be petite, but has incredibly strong hands. When I was finished and checked out, I was not given any kind of ‘sell’ on booking another appointment or buying a massage package. I truly appreciated that! I will be back!!!
