The Home Depot

Went to this home depot to get some Honda engine oil for my lawnmower. Guess what they don’t stock it but they sell Honda lawnmowers. You got to be kidding me. Plus the sales associates run when you approach them.

Went for some gardening supply’s. Have to say I didn’t spot much staff in the area an probably wasted some time aimlessly walking around for what I needed, but things were organized and I was able to find what I needed there. The cashier was nice, and helpful on my gardening questions.

Whether it is working on my house, car, bikes, computers or whatever, I am a big time DIY type of guy, so as one might imagine I grew up playing with Erector sets and Legos. This is why I love this place, Home Depot offers just about everything to work on any given project that I need to complete. I see others had some issues here, so I consider myself lucky.
The duluth hwy store does not have a tool renting department, so I visit this store usually when I need to rent some macho man tools and the employees who I have been in contact with in the tool rental department are friendly and helpful whenever I had questions or issues.
This store is not as big as other locations, so you might want to check online before visiting this store to make sure they have whatever you are looking for. The only people here who I noticed were not as friendly were those outside at the checkout in the lawn and garden, but it really all depends on the time and day that one visits this store. Of course though, if someone is not happy with their job, they need to quit and do something else.
If you need to rent some tools or rent a truck or van, this is a good home depot location. As for the other departments, I am unsure.

Make sure that if you are buying materials and are renting one of their vans or trucks, that after you load the material into the vehicle, go back into the store and let the tool department adjust your time for loading the vehicle, otherwise you are losing valuable time.

I am a recent home owner and have been frequenting this Home Depot and so far I have to say that it is a good one to go to. I am generally always greeted when I walk in and the people have gone out of their way to find things for me even if I tell them I am not purchasing. However, I seek advice from the one on hwy 78 I feel those people generally have some more knowledge. Except a gentleman in the blind section, older guy do not remember his name he is awesome, will answer any questions he can and even reference products and qualities of those products. Kudos to him

Manager and staff are very rude and don’t seem interested serving the customer if it inconveniences them in any manner.

I love hardware stores.
Good thing, because I usually have to go to multiple to find what I am looking for. Home depot is great for work gloves, dust masks, tools/​tool belts. Lowe’s has great stuff for interior decorating (lamps, fixtures, and paint).
Today, I needed some wood and hinges. I wanted to get some cedar for a box and it took awhile to find some un-​warped/​square pieces at Home Depot. I spent 16 bucks which isn’t too bad considering it cost 40 – 50 dollars to buy something similar retail. I also wanted to get some new hinges for an armoire my sis is refurbishing. The old ones are gorgeous and ornate. There was nothing like that there. But there sure is some bomb looking hinges on

Ok, Home Depot is not much better than the brighter lit competition, but in truth, each carries nearly the same stuff with nearly the same prices. What differentiates Home Depot from the other place to me is the dimmer and less organized layout, and yes, as some other Unilocaler’s have stated, the staff seems to be less available and helpful. I still shop here as well but in truth, I prefer the brighter and friendlier competition.

I have a love/​hate relationship with Home Depot: I love Behr paint and this is the only place I can get it. I hate the poor service in all the departments but I come back again and again, why? Because they have what I want and need. That’s it plain and simple.
