I really, really wanted to like this place; there are pretty slim pickings up here for Chinese food. So I tried it(carry out) for the first time tonight, and was sadly disappointed. First, the good: the people are very nice. Prices are pretty reasonable. Ingredients seem fresh. The bad: it was *bland*. It’s as if the food had been assembled by people with no taste buds. I got kung pao chicken, and there was a *tiny glimmer* of some spice detectable somwhere in the background, but otherwise it was flavorless. The chicken fried rice was the same story — it looked great, but there was no *umami* to be found here, either. It was a lot like the stuff you can get at a Safeway… looks good, but it’s like a pantomime of Chinese food. The Osmonds of Chinese food, if you will(or if you won’t). Bummer.

Little hole in the wall but Excellent food & very good service. I love their shrimp and black bean sauce, really good. My wife loves their crispy beef and their salt and pepper wings is very crunchy and delicious. I tried their Kung Pao Shrimp today for lunch and that was very good too. We will continue to go back as long we get excellent food and very good service.

I really hate giving a local business a bad review and I never have given anyone a 1 star. Usually if it’s bad I just don’t post a review as I hate to hurt their business, but I have to with this place. We ordered Mongolian beef and it was grey in color, had no sauce and none of the rice noodles this dish usually has on the bottom. We couldn’t even eat it. After 1 bite we threw it away and felt sick. If you are looking for good Chinese food go to the Beijing Pavilion on 180th and Bothell Everett HWY.

Terrible service worse food. Two years ago the food was tolerable. Not any more. Went there yesterday for my birthday dinner. From the moment we entered the lady working the counter seemed put out by our presence. There were only 2 other tables occupied and I wanted Chinese so we sat down. It only went down hill from there. I can take bad service for good food but that was not the case tonight. We asked for white meat and that seemed to make her even more unhappy. When the food arrived the waitress dropped off the plates and walked away without even looking at us. We discussed walking out but, against our better judgement, we decided to stay. We should have left. The chicken dishes were basically gelatin with a bit of meat. I don’t really want to revisit just how bad the food was. We will never be back.

I think this is an unexpectedly nice little Chinese restaurant in Snohomish. Their pricing for lunch specials are some of the cheapest you’ll find in town. Most of the lunch specials run around 7 dollars on average, and come with your choice of soup(I suggest their hot and sour), and then your entrée which comes with a scoop of rice and a little wonton. The portions are definitely enough for me, I struggle to finish my plate(sometimes I can’t), and I don’t even touch the rice. The service here is great. Sandy has been our lunch waitress every time but maybe twice. I’ve been coming here for years. Shes always SOOOO friendly, and happy. Seriously the sweetest lady. When you come in, she’ll tell you to sit wherever you want. On top of her being fantastic, the food comes out lightning fast. They’re on top of it here. It may not be super new or fancy, but its clean and I’ve always been able to get a table right away. Now lets talk about food. Their hot and sour soup is probably the best I’ve tried. I’ll stop here and get a huge container for a very reasonable price of like 7 dollars if I’m feeling under the weather. My favorite dish is the sweet and sour shrimp. The perfect amount of breading and sauce, and you can actually see and taste the shrimp. I like the kung pao chicken, as well as the mandarin chicken wings. My sister LOVES the chicken chow mien. Every time she’s in Snohomish she wants to go get some. The only dish I’ve been less than thrilled with is the almond fried chicken, but I don’t really like that dish in general — too bland in my opinion. I think this is a nice little place to come for a fast and cheap lunch. Its one of my favorite spots in town, and I’d definitely recomend it.

The first time we dined here it was great! The next few times it has been going downhill. My wife always tells me «don’t go there you have been disappointed over and over again«but I really want that first experience again and I’m always down for giving a business another chance when it comes to food because you never know who the cook was that day. But no more chances here. We ordered our food this last time, two dinner meals with all the fixins. They were literally done in about 3 minutes. Now, this is waaay to fast for Chinese food. The food had obviously been resting in the kitchen for quite a while. Rice(cold) and noodle dishes were horrible(had a metallic aftertaste)! The rest was just blah with bland flavor and luke warm. I love to give positive views on people’s restaurants just as much as I love to enjoy good food. They are the only Chinese food restaurant in town and that’s probably why they have became complacent knowing there is no local competition. Does anyone remember the old Chinese restaurants with friendly service, great food, fun atmosphere, a place where you and your family go every once in a while and it’s something special? You will not find that here! I hope they read this and step it up like a business should, in order to be a great place for folks to spend there hard earned money. Customers can tell when owners and managers do not care about a customers experience. Bummer…

Surprised to have a better meal than I expected at Peking Duck. I ordered the Almond Fried Chicken meal with won ton soup, egg rolls, pork fried rice and chicken chow mein. $ 9.95 was a decent price. The won ton soup was pretty delicious and not overly salty. The almond chicken was fried quickly with a good crunch but not overly greasy. Plenty of almonds and good gravy. The egg rolls were also crunchy and not greasy, fresh tasting veggies inside were still crisp. Pork fried rice was pretty good as was the chicken chow mein. The chow mein had plenty of chicken and just enough garlic but not too much. Overall pretty decent, fresh food for a reasonable price. It is funny going in as it is a traditional Mandarin restaurant that reminded me of when I was kid going out for Chinese when I was a kid!

I’ve had better, certainly. But I’ve also had worse. This is a clean, unpretentious, relatively quiet place to get a predictably-Americanized Chinese meal. The prices are reasonable, the all-in-one dinners are especially thrifty, and the speed was astounding. I had not even poured the 20-oz bottled soda they gave me into my glass before two of my three dishes arrived. The décor, serving pieces, and dishware, including a Chinese Zodiac paper place mat, will remind you of the chop suey joints of your childhood. As long as everything’s clean, I’m all for nostalgia. Sure, the 1970s called, and would like their glassware back, but no need to surrender it. It’s clean and it’s still in perfect working order. The pork fried rice was a bit cold and stiff; it might have been sitting around for a while. My order of Vegetable Deluxe was fresh and piping hot, however. You know you’re not in Chinatown anymore when you’re served mixed vegetables that include celery slices, but fiber’s good for you, I suppose. The almond fried chicken was made with tender chicken breast; it was a little overbrowned, and the gravy had little flavor apart from salt and fat, but I thought it still a decent dish, and I look forward to gaining access to my leftovers of it later this evening. I’ll definitely come back. It’s better than the Chinese food at Safeway or Panda Express, and it’s still several orders of magnitude of improvement over the Chinese food available in Monroe.

We get togo from here often. We have tried several things and most all are good. Our go-tos are the beef and broccoli and general Tso’s chicken… however the last time the general Tso’s tasted unusual and may have ruined this place for my wife. Also try to get«meals» instead of ordering things individually because the bill can add up quick here; plus rice isn’t included with your main dish so don’t forget to order that, if you want rice. The people are always friendly when I pick up our orders.

This place is a hole in the wall but serves good food in hearty portions for a very reasonable price. My mother in law loves Chinese food and we took her here during a visit — she approved. I recommend the dinners for two+ because you get more food for what would be tough to order ala carte. My son raved and raved about the soup they brought out at the start, so that was a hit. Gyozas were so-so. Chow mein noodles were a-ok. The Moo Goo Gai Pan is one of the best I’ve ever had — shrimp fried rice was my other favorite(better than the pork fried rice). The sweet and sour pork was not good — too fatty/greasy under the fake red sauce. The sweet and sour chicken was better(what can I say, it’s a guilty pleasure). Beef-eaters gobbled up the Mongolian beef — it disappeared so I know it was good. I’m sure we’ll come back — me, for that Moo Goo Gai Pan — who knew that cabbage could be so darned tasty?

My hubby & I ate here last night(04÷19÷13) and were very pleased with all the dishes we’ve ordered. Everything came out great & tasty. The place is very clean & tidy. The staffs are very friendly & helpful. They don’t even mind a special request on the way of cooking their veggies. We’re very glad to have tried it & found an alternative place to dine in. Highly recommended & will definitely come back again.

Sometimes we get takeout, and that is pretty good. If you want to get the best flavor from your food, definitely dine in. Casual to business casual dress. Best deals are the dinners for two, three or more — get a lot of different tastes from excellent soups, bbq pork, wontons, rice and a couple of entrees — our favorite way to dine in. And any of the entrees are really good for take out.

Went here for the first time. I wasn’t overely impressed but I really wish it was better since I don’t see very many Asian food joints in Snohomish. I really wanted to like the fried rice but I found it to be somewhat bland. The meaty rib bones were not bad. Sort of like small bites of pork with a little bone in them. Flavor was okay. To go service was quick and the meal was not very expensive.

This is a hidden Gem of a restaurant. Finally, a REAL sweet-and-sour sauce, not that candy-like artificially colored syrup that many places slather on their dishes! A perfect blend of authentic/traditional chinese/mandarin cuisine and north-americanized flavors. Having a somewhat 50’s-style diner interior, it is cozy and friendly and with good pricing. We’re from Vancouver, BC, Canada and having been to many dozens of high-end asian restaurants up here we can honestly say that this place is right up there with the best taste-wise.

I remember eating at Peking Duck when I was a child and the one highlight that I plainly recall was the spinning table top. My family and I stopped into Peking Duck for lunch yesterday on my way back to the airport. We ordered six of the lunch specials. With prices in the $ 7 range and about 15 different plates to choose from, there’s a lot of variety for a decent price. We ordered two plates of Broccoli Beef, Chicken Chow Mein, Almond Chicken, Sweet and Sour Chicken and Sweet and Sour Pork. I, personally, tried the beef, chow mein and almond chicken. Each of the dishes were good and were accompanied with a mound of fried rice and a choice of three soups: egg flower, won ton or hot and sour.

This is the best Chinese food in all of Washington state. I love the crab rangun’s. a delicious blend of cream cheese and crab. Delicious!!! The General Taos chicken, and chicken fried rice is awesome. Broccoli beef is amazing. Small quaint and serves pepsi. Love this place, better than any other chinese food place Ive been in WA.

Highlights: Good seating options, great pricing, food above average for Americanized, appetizers and soup brought quickly. Lowlights: parking lot can turn into bumper cars after dark in the rain, main dishes brought out way too fast(within three minutes of appetizers). Will be back, they seem to try really hard to please their customers!

Dependable little corner chinese place in a small town with no other chinese options(and precious few other asian culinary options). They can’t lay claim to serving things made from scratch, or made with great creative flair or an eye to mainland tradition, but they serve the expected Americanized chinese food with predictable results. There’s comfort in that. Two chow meins, steamed pot stickers, hot tea, Tsingtao, bbq pork, snow pea pods, and kung pao scallps served us all well here the other night. The service was prompt and polite, and the fortune cookies were encouraging. What’s not to like? Especially with good prices – $ 60 for four, including the bar tab.

This is my family’s favorite Chinese restaurant in the area. We’ve been coming here off and on for probably close to 20 years and generally order the same things(plus or minus a dish) each time. One of our favorites is the mu shu pork and there have been fights over who gets the last pancake. Fortunately, they’ll let us order extra for a small charge which has mostly put an end to the fights. I can’t recall the food ever being bad, the service is perfectly fine, and the price is right. It’s not fine dining, it’s not authentic Chinese, but it’s good food that isn’t swimming in gravy.
