This place needs a make over. It is very dirty. The bar is awful, they have the same bar crowd the few times we have went, and left soon after. It is a dirty smoking smelling bar, you can’t hold a conversation cuz the drunks tower over other patrons.
we tried the restraurant part which was just as bad, needs serious update and repairs to tables and seats.
The best thing about the place is the chicken wings, other than that, we tried but will never go back. Clean it up and quit over serving the drunks and you may get better business.

Icky, yuck, phooey, pooey … uck! We paid for that?
Imagine black paths, yes actually dirt paths on the carpet to and from the dining area to the bar and wherever else they have traipsed. Oh and the God they give sacrifices to in the waiting area might want to leave, his/​her Satsuma’s were moldy NO KIDDING! Maybe Jesus should come save him/​her from this, LOL :) The service is awful, the food greasy and they are NOT kidding NO substitutions. AND, they charge for refills, maybe because they have to walk through the black dirt path. Be afraid, be very afraid to go here. But, IF you do go take an asthma inhaler or a mask to get through the crowd of bar lover’s here that are smoking AT the door. Not a good thing here folks!

Damn, this place is a dive! New Red Lotus is the place to come if you like greasy Chinese junk food, and strong drinks in a dingy lounge.
The interior of the restaurant is terribly dated, dark, and has an unclean feel. Bad live music, and lots of intoxicated regulars give this place character! A night at this restaurant is truly a unique experience for the adventuresome. This place serves a purpose for those seeking an alternative to the trendy bars on! st street. If you want to experience colorful Snohomish locals while getting your serious drink on, this is an interesting option. Try the food for late night junk cravings, but recommend drinking first!

I’ve read the three reviews of the New Red Lotus when I signed up, and I’ve gotta say I heartily disagree!
I have been a fan of this restaurant for eight years. My wife had been a fan for several years before that. The food has been consistently very good. I love the egg drop soup with the noodle croutons. I could eat it all day. We usually order the «C» dinner along with a dish of the Egg Foo Yung. I love the chicken wings, too. The wait staff is always cheerful and helpful. Nice, friendly. I can’t attest to the drinks like the other reviewers; I come there for the food and I am never disappointed.

The only decent food they serve here is the fried wontons… they have meat in them. other than that, the food is bland and lifeless. But 2 stars for strong drinks and wontons.

This place is absolutely terrible! The food was horrendous, dripping grease and the service was lousy. Not to mention it was somewhat expensive. YUCK!
