Silver Fir lodge is the newest addtional to Sir Fir run at Snoqualmie Summit. It is standard fare but a nice new facility that is a great alternative to the other lodges at Central. You can ski in and out from Central prior to Silver Fir lift closing at 3:30.

Silver Fir Lodge at the Summit at Snoqualmie = FAIL Nice finishes and architecture. Where is the fire? Can’t order food at the bar. Food is the stand in line cafeteria food, basically the same concept they have at all of the other food places on the mountain. You can bring food into the bar from the cafeteria, but that is a huge pain in the ass and your food gets cold waiting for your beer. Bartender was easily the worst I have had. He served only the line of people who lined up against the white wall. During the hour that I sat there several different groups sitting at the bar had to yell at him to get his attention multiple times. Empty glasses all around for what seemed like 20 mins at a time. The guy sitting next to me went to pay for his Bloody Mary(over $ 9). Bartender gave him bill, guy sets $ 20 on the counter, 15 mins later bartender is like, «oh let me get that»…I was there for about an hour and 15 mins, had two beers. He needed a swift kick in the pants, and someone needs to teach him to scan the bar. If he served the people at the bar, he would not have the long line of people along the white wall, because there would be turnover at the stools. Folks, we are talking a bar that seats 9 people, not a tough challenge.
