We started out with the onion rings. Great flavor but a bit greasy for me. Wife had the mahi mahi and had it blacked for a little extra kick. Came out with a beautiful blackened appearance but was a bit over cooked. I had the seafood combo which was catfish and shrimp and jalapeño hush puppies. Catfish was PERFECTLY cooked as well as the shrimp. Fun atmosphere over looking the marina. Service was great, beer was ice cold. Had the cook pulled the mahi mahi a minute sooner and the fryer been a bit hotter, this would be a four star review. We will be coming back!

Never had a bad experience and have been several times. I finally tried the ribs the last time I went and I agree they are very good. I still prefer the Bayou Chicken and the rest of the family either gets it, the smothered catfish or the catfish platter. Appetizers — always the jalapeño hush puppies and sometimes the grouper fingers. Desserts! OMG, the desserts have been wonderful. Bread pudding, blackberry cobbler, apple dumpling, fudge nut brownie, whatever. It is all yummy. We have never had a problem with service either but this place gets packed. If you show up at dinner time on the weekend there will probably be a wait.

Normally a 3.5−4 star but we had very slow service this last weekend. We came about 245 for a late lunch and ended up eating dinner about 445. Food was good, got the 5lb wings and they were very spicy and tasty. We asked for BBQ wings with the normal Buffalo and they may of been better than the regular wings. Staff was courteous but our«30» minute wait was about 75 minutes which ruined the experience.

I’m stuck trying to decide whether to give 1or 2 stars. My family and I generally will try a restaurant again after a disappointing experience. Since Steve’s Landing was recommended and I truly trusted the source of the recommendation. For a restaurant to be SODAMNLOUD, it needs to be addressed. It would be loud compared to a bar that doesn’t sell food. But, unfortunately, it was worse on our 2nd trip. The food was barely warm. I feel that the food sat for a while before being served. The beer was about as warm. Our server clearly rather be somewhere else because she was rarely at our table. If you get past all that and actually taste the food, tge disappointment continues. The server brought the check barely following the late arrival of the food. Since we were not going to eat anything anyway, I decided to pay for the meal and leave.

I have friends and family up and down the east coast. Every time they come to visit, we take them to Steve’s Landing. All of them agree with me. Best ribs ever. I get mine blackened with extra cajun seasoning. Everything else on the menu is great too !!

Since moving to the area, we had heard a lot about this place. We finally made the trip out there. The ribs are very good. The inside space is pretty small and fills up quickly, plus it’s very noisy, even with a small crowd. Our waitress only checked on us once after our food arrived, which wasn’t enough when our glasses needed repeated refills. We won’t be making the trip out there again just to eat.

Enjoyed a meal there last night. Atmosphere would be great during the summer since its on the lake next to a boat dock. Food is above average. We had the chips and queso which I liked but my wife wasn’t fond of it so mixed review there. Jalapeño hush puppies were the best. I ate the ribs and I am a very tough critic on ribs since I think I make the best ones. I would order them again and that’s my best review. Something I don’t do often. Wife had kickin chicken. She wasn’t over excited about it and would come choose something else next time. Bourbon bread pudding to finish off the night. It was the best thing we had all night. Overall a great place that would classify as a local dive. We will visit again when the warm weather hits.

This place is very loud. My Tuna was great, but the creamed spinach was more like cheese with a sprinkling of spinach. My wife liked the boiled shrimp, but her coleslaw tasted bad. I’d say give the place a try, but it wasn’t my cup of tea.

We were visiting family in Chattanooga and were seeking a good place to eat. Our family recommended Steve’s Landing and said their ribs were awesome. Well we called and made reservations for 4:30 and were finally seated at 5:45. The patio and inside restaurant were packed and the noise level was so high you could not carry on a conversation with the person sitting next to you which greatly diminished the dinning experience. They were able to accommodate a strict gluten free diet which included ribs, baked potato and coleslaw. The ribs were good but not the best I have ever had. They were a little overdone as they fell off the bone rather than having a slight«pull away from the bone». My husband and son had catfish and said the catfish was mushy not firm or flakey. The queso dip was good and so was the loaded baked potato. The service was good and staff helpful with making gluten free menu choices. The price for three meals and soft drinks was $ 64. I greatly appreciate the gluten free offerings and might visit Steve’s again.

The first thing right off the bat we were taken to a filthy table that was wiped while we sat at it. This place was too expensive for what they offer. I paid 15 dollars for one piece of fish and soggy and cold french fries and the chunkiest cole slaw I have ever eaten – the cabbage was not even chopped up. Plus, the cole slaw smelled rancid. The pieces of cabbage were huge and there was no spices used on any of the food. I asked for malt vinegar for my fish and the waitress looked like it was the most bizarre request ever and told me they didn’t have malt vinegar. I find this incredibly puzzling when you consider a huge portion of the menu is sea food. It was very disappointing and I hope to never go there again.

It’s almost Spring and most downtown eateries were closed 2−5pm this Feb. 2015 So we decided to go back to Steve’s Landing. I checked hours on Saturday. Wella! They were Open all afternoon. We beat the rush– yes a dinner rush came right in behind us at 4−5pm. Tables filled quickly. We had the Shrimp Bread again! Yummy and rich sauce. I had Big Fat Chicken Wings. 8 were more than I could eat. A nice sided salad. My friend had Catfish, Shrimp, Hush Puppies, Salad and more. Everything was great as usual. More than we could eat. The waitress and seating staff were lovely and welcoming. We enjoyed watching the TV monitors and just looking out at the LAKE. Casual Dress– Be ready to meet many Locals. Year after year a Favorite dining spot on the lake in Soddy Daisy Tennessee.

We ate here last night. Docked the boat and went in. About an hour before we arrived we called ahead and when we walked in we were seated right away! We had the racin Cajun pasta which was amazing! For dessert we ate the brownie and bread pudding! It was great!!!

Had been wanting to try out this place since I read a review on . It was a beautiful day, no rain, low humidity, mid 80’s…so the BF and doggie and I decided to go for a drive. This place is just what I imagined it to be… a little lakeside dive. Lots of patio seating that was full, so we sat inside. Still had a view of the lake so it was all good. It was busy but we got service pretty quick… scanned over the menu for drinks and lo and behold, they had Bartles & Jaymes listed. LOL. It’s an inside joke from the movie Son-in-Law that just happened to be on TV the other day. Well, I had to oder a Fuzzy Navel. We ordered the onion rings and queso dip for apps. Queso dip was something unique… it had spinach in it. It was a different flavor but something I kinda dug. The onion rings came in a bucket and were hot and tasty and came with a horseradish kind of dipping sauce. I ordered the Steve’s Special Burger… came with two cheeses, bbq sauce and all the usual burger stuff. It was a very good burger. Not dry, nice and juicy and very flavorful. BF ordered the catfish platter. Came with fries and coleslaw. He said the coleslaw tasted weird so I had to try it… and it did. Just had some mayo in it, not really mixed. Seemed like they forgot a few ingredients, like sugar and a touch of vinegar. He said the catfish was good. I’m not a catfish fan so I can’t attest to that. The only hiccup was the service at the end… had to wait a long time to get the bill but the sever was very apologetic and we were in no hurry. Overall…this is a fun place to go. The desserts looked good but we were too full to try one.

Steve’s Landing never disappoints. Wait if you must — it will be worth it. Everything is amazing — the wings(OH the wings — smoked and then sauced — a wonderful combination); jalapeño hushpuppies(do they get any better than this?); rack of ribs(the BEST in Chattanooga in my opinion — fall of the bone, flavorful, yumminess); and finally, the bread pudding(which will leave you feeling intoxicated with all that wonderful bourbon sauce on top — oh my — amazing!). Perfect any time of year, but especially during warm summer days when the deck is open and you can sit outside, eat wings and ribs, sip sweet tea(or beer if you prefer), and look out over the water as you take the last bit of that bourbon bread pudding.

Good place for a large group. I joined an extended family outing, with visitors from around the country. Good basic food, lots of choices, and you can get something healthy with just a little ordering creativity.

Great lightly battered fried shrimp! Hushpuppies yum! Beer and wine coolers only. Good catfish — nice laid back place at marina. I’m sure it’s hopping in summer but at 8:30 on nov thurs night still had a few regulars

Steve’s is in the Pine Harbor Marina on Lake Chickamonga. This place was great. It was packed and we were seated quickly. The appetizers: Shrimp Bread, Grouper Fingers and Jalepino Hushpuppies were fantastic. I had the Club Sandwich and it was the best I have ever had. The Coleslaw was homemade and perfect. Huge outside seating. You will not be sorry

To Mr. Atlanta Hotshot below. The line represents a wait. There is no lobby at Steve’s, so you have the line. No waits at Atlanta restaurants? Ever seen Cheesecake Factory in Buckhead on a Friday? Or Pure in Woodstock? Need I even mention Nuevo Laredo??? Or Taqueria del Sol on Howell Mill, where there is always a line? I can rip off many others. And oh, no, you didn’t say awful Fat Matt’s was better than these ribs. Despite these falsehoods and the backhanded comments about beautiful Soddy-Daisy, the gist of your writeup is fairly spot on. This is a good restaurant in a pleasant setting. Not great, but good.

This place in Atlanta 3 stars, this place in Soddy-daisy 5 stars. Me and Ms. Wonderful were on our way to Watts Bar in Tennessee from Atlanta. We were looking for something local as we didn’t have our hopes high we would be able to find anything decent. We rolled the dice took a chance and were pleasantly surprised. It was pretty hilarious when we pulled up as there was a line, no kidding a line out the door on a Friday at 5:00 p.m. One of the patrons told us if you get here at 5:30 you won’t be able to get a table. This would never happen in Atlanta. There’s too many choices and who shows up that early for dinner. I just happened to not eat lunch that day, so I was starving. We were promptly sat down outside where we had to battle the flies constantly. I’m not complaining as they can’t do anything to help this if your sitting outside. I’m just warning you if you want to sit outside you might have to deal with a ton of house flies. No worries. Their beer menu is limited, but come on I know I’m in Soddy Daisy so it was fine. I also found it amusing that they had a selection of wine coolers. Their menu is witty and charming making jokes from time to time. I always enjoy this. The menu is quite expansive for being in such a remote location. Its your basic comfort food with some fairly nice seafood selections. Wanted to go for the tuna steak, but I was told I had to had to get the ribs, so I did what the patrons told me. Ms. Wonderful got the Cajun chicken covered in a craw-fish cream over cornbread dressing. We also ordered the jalapeño hush puppies with honey butter. The Jalapeño Hush-puppies were pretty delicious. My ribs were great. They’re not my style, being I like more of a drier rib and a spicier sauce. Not better than fat Matt’s but they were pretty darn good and fell off the bone. Ms. Wonderful’s dish was awesome. The sauce, the craw-fish, chicken and cornbread dressing meshed extremely well. I declared her dish the winner of best item of the night. My side of Broccoli and Rice casserole was good. Their side selection was fantastic. The whole restaurant was slammed with customers however our service was excellent. I’ll be back anytime I’m on my way up to watts bar, if I can find a seat! Pros Great Food Great Service Great variety of options Good side selection Nice Porch and View Cons Décor and Alcohol Selection

I’m from New Orleans and I like this place. Good flavor and spice for States North of I-10. Now we don’t have the Gulf right out the back door so you won’t get 16⁄20 count shrimp on your Smothered catfish, but he nails the flavors in the gravy, as we say it down here. Try it. My kids always get Cajun Chicken and it’s spicy. We were told about Steve’s when we moved up to Soddy and to get the Ribs… yum…. I think I’ll go across the bayou and eat. ps Steve is from down the bayou somewhere, so his mama probably taught him.
