Camp here are fantastic. I have not experienced the pool area but the camps have it going on. The girl at the front desk is aware and you can check your child in and out. They even allowed me to hang in the gym and watch my kid paying dodgeball until camp was over. The counselors are nice but I do think your child needs to be self sufficient and old enough to not be needy. The counselors are young and not really totally attuned to each child. The parking lot is tricky especially when drop off and pick up times.

My kids have been taking summer swim lessons here for quite some time. My older ones have moved on, but my youngest is still here. They offer group and private instruction. Most of the instructors work really well with children. I have found a few to be relatively bland and un-interested in the children though. There are two 25 m pools. Both are heated. One is used for swim meets for their youth swim team. The pools are well taken care of as is the surrounding pool area. The pool is adjacent to the local Boys and Girls Club and essentially run by the club itself. Individuals can also simply sign up to swim. It’s a great form of exercise that can be self paced. Keep on Unilocal’n!

Outdoor heated pools. There’s a pool used for swim practices and an ever bigger one used for swim meets. Both are available for free swim(lap/recreational). I don’t spend enough time visiting my mom in San Diego to buy a membership, but a day pass is only $ 5. The locker room has stalled showers with soap dispensers, an area with lockers, a swimsuit drying machine, and restrooms on the opposite side. Showers are also present outside. The staff is friendly and the lifeguards actually pay attention to the swimmers, not like at other pools where they talk to each other and wouldn’t notice a distressed swimmer until after he starts to drown.
