Great service, dynamic selection, not a scene, great hang, seem to keep coming here like other locals

Been coming here since they opened. I know it’s about the beer but I Love love love the warm soft pretzel. What happened? It’s no longer a warm soft pretzel, it was hard and dry. So sad, the beer is still fantastic, however, but I will not be ordering the pretzel again. I hope they look into this because it WAS the best pretzel EVER!!!

What a cute little place to grab a quick drink. We used other Unilocal reviews to find somewhere in our area that would be quick and not super expensive. The atmosphere here is very chill and you have a wide variety of beers to chose from. I was a little disappointed that the bartender went to numerous other customers before coming to my small group(even though we were there before some of them), but he was very helpful in us choosing our beverages. He even provided tasters to two of the girls. I also really liked that this location was super dog friendly, with multiple customers bringing their dogs in. It was very cute and added to the charm.

Beer Stop 105 —- This place has become a gem. SD Beerworks only charges $ 5.50 for(3) 5oz tasters. This deal isn’t limited to days/times and is a complete steal IMO. Plus, SD Beerworks has been getting some good stuff on tap lately. You can check out their website for taplist. Nice improvements SD Beer Works!

Great place to meet up with some friends and chill and lounge over Craft Beer and a little wine as the Owner says he didn’t want to leave out the non-beer drinkers too. Very thoughtful. The refrigerator is stocked with craft beer galore from all ends of the earth it seems. I was satisfied with my purchase when I got home to drink it and wondering if I will ever come across that brand without having to go back to SD Beerworks.

You have ENDLESS choices in San Diego to taste and indulge on some craft beer. Last night, I stumbled into San Diego Beerworks. The locals were very social and friendly. The owner, John, was behind the bar educating me on all the tap selections and was spot on for my liking. About 8 tasters later and I felt like I was kicking back in my living room. The vibe is very laid-back and cozy. There are couches, board games, lots of TV’s, dope music, appetizers, and the best part aside from the beer, is that this place is «dog-friendly.» Solana Beach is a quiet town during the week but this place was ALIVE until 11:00pm when they closed. I also left my car overnight in the parking lot and did not get a ticket the next day. Also, there was a smoothie and coffee place calling my name in the morning. I HIGHLYRECOMMEND you stop into this mini-Nirvana.

Totally chill place. I work nearby and stop by for a beer every so often. Their beer selection is always changing and it’s one of the few bars where you can buy a bottle and take it home. They have a huge selection of drinks on tap and thousands of bottles to buy and take home with you. During the week they have two happy hours. A bacon happy hour and drinks. The magic hour when the two overlap is 5−6pm.

I like the small bar/tasting room concept and this place does it well. The knowledgeable staff with a decent tap selection at a reasonable price is a winning combination. The best part of my visit was the sampler trays which allow you three 5oz samples at a great price. You can mix and match your styles or go with three of a kind. My only knock on this place is that they didn’t have any reds or English style beers on tap during my visit. They did have some local small batch micros on tap though.

San Diego Beerworks is what I’d want my basement to be if I made more money and liver cirrhosis was a fictional villain on Pokemon, if that’s even still on TV. Beerworks is not a basement, in fact, it’s quite pleasant. The décor is contemporary with big windows and a very open feel. They have an excellent rotation of local beers on tap(with the occasional tap takeover) and refrigerators lining the wall with an excellent selection of craft beer. While the taps remain mostly local, the bottles come from all over the US. I’m not sure who their beer distributor is, but they’ve got a good one. Prices are right in the average wheelhouse for craft beer(read: Not cheap, but on par with everybody else), and Beerworks also has a few TVs and an assortment of games stashed behind the bar to help you while aware the hours. Comfy lounge areas mix nicely with a more traditional bar area so you have a few seating options. The bar staff is always nice, and they even have some small plates if you happen to need/want food. This place is awesome.

Particularly if you aren’t afraid to get out of your brewing comfort zone and try something different.

I find myself coming back again and again. The atmosphere is great, the people are greater and the beers are the greatest. A must stop, if it’s not on tap it’s in a bottle.

Like many have said, John, the owner, is legit. He knows his stuff and is more than happy to share it with you. Always providing awesome beers and food. There are a few tvs on the walls playing surfing videos, sports, or movies. There is a decent amount of seating and a great feel to the place. The tap selection is great but the bottle selection is even better! Hundreds of bottles to choose from. Food is made onsite and goes great with the beers. DOGAREWELCOMEDHERE with open arms!

The place has a great vibe. The five or six times I’ve been in, I’ve ordered different craft beers. It seems the owner, John, is always changing things up. You must order the pretzel, which we quickly renamed the Breadzel. It is very and large and meant to be shared, Some call it crack, but I prefer the Breadzel name. I think they are adding more foods to the menu, according to one of the bartenders. I noticed there was a sporty crowd there. Lots of bicyclists and runners, coming in after a long bout of running or biking, itching to get their carbs on. You will not be disappointed with this modern cool version of today’s salon, minus the trouble. xoxo sdbeerworks .PS It can get busy but it doesn’t last for long– I strongly recommend SD Beerworks

‘CELEBRATETHECRAFT’ OK first off — let’s first talk about JOHN(the owner) … He is sooo legit — worth it just for the conversations to stop by BeerWorks! He is super kind — knowledgeable of beer and an all around great guy!!! BeerWorks always has an awesome selection of beers — John changes taps supporting local breweries from all over San Diego — love the variety!!! The music is jamnin’ — sports on TV’s and tons I mean TONS of beers to choose from … in addition to 9+ fridges loaded with hard to find bottled beers to … DOGFRIENDLY! SOLID stop anytime — sooo happy BeerWorks is in Solana Beach! PS: WiFi too — work on the laptop with a brew — oh yeah :) Highly recommend!

Love this place, the vibe is very relaxing, and local. I love hanging out with neighbors and their dogs, freshly groomed from the place around the corner. It reminds me of a pub in england, drinking isn’t the only thing that happens here, enjoying others company seems to be the main point. Get a pretzel to wash your beer down. They have free yoga on every other sunday!

Love! Love! Love! SD Beerworks! The owner John is one of the nicest most generous guys you will ever meet. The staff is amazing as well. Very experienced and know their stuff! Giving great recommendations based on what you typically drink and allowing you to sample any beer you desire. Also this place is dog friendly which is a big plus! Providing water upon entry so you and your doggy friends can drink together! I definitely recommend this place and tell everyone I know about it!

We’re so excited this place is now open! What a great addition to the area. Beerworks has 14 beers on tap and over 300 bottles and cans of craft beers! This is one of the only places we know where you can get a bottle or can of beer and actually enjoy it in house. The draft beer selection is 100% local breweries so you can have you SD beer favorites under one roof. The vibe is a bit more high end than your typical tasting room filled with comfortable leather seats and couches and a hightop bar with barstools. They are open until 11pm Wednesday thru Sunday and currently closed on Mondays and Tuesdays. This place is sure to become a local hotspot!
