Michelle did an awesome job helping me pick out some gifts and then I found a holiday dress! Fun store with good prices.

Unfortunately, after spending close to $ 500 on clothing, I ended up having to take one of their $ 25 «sale» items back for an exchange… and they wouldn’t do it! I even had the clerk call the owner, and she said no. So much for doing the right thing! I won’t ever shop here again because of that. Sometimes owners just don’t get it… too bad for them… their loss.

This little store on Cedros is the only place you need to go for the perfect gift or outfit you need for a special occasion.
They have every type of beautiful candle you could possibly want and yummy Bath and body items.
The clothes are beautiful and well made… in all sizes! I bought some beautiful Desigual pieces from Spain that I absolutely love!
They also have a really fun novelty section that you could spend hours looking at…
Seems like there is something for everyone here!

This is a great shop for gifts for everyone on your xmas list! Candles, cute clothing and jewelry, novelty gifts and crazy greeting cards, even toys. Be sure to check out the bacon section!

I went into this shop based on the reviews I read… I expected to be delighted and find some special gifts for a friend. When I asked the owner a question she was dismissive and actually rude.
The store was cluttered and looked like a messy, over stuffed and dusty dive. An odd feature is the mixture of children’s toys next to porn and weed themed novelty items.
really though, if the owner wasn’t so horrific it would have been a forgettable experience.

I went in after reading the reviews for the candle refill because it’s amazing to have the prefect jar for a certain spot in my home and be able to go get it refilled instead of searching for another candle. All I can say is WOW do all the candles here smell AMAZING! I purchased the largest version of Volsupa Santiago huckleberry and I seriously pick it up every time I walk by my coffee table and take a wiff. It cost about $ 32 after tax but will only cost me about $ 7 to have it refilled once it’s. Urns up. You can also take your own jars in and have a candle made with any of their scents so you don’t have to buy it there first! I can’t wait to go antique shopping and bring in some jars. They charge .25 cents for every square inch. The girl working was very nice and helpful. My friend also found an amazing star fish bracelet and earrings that shes been looking for– for about 6 months so we were very happy to have gone in here. Even though it’s about a 20 minute drive from my house I will defiantly be coming back here to have refills made!

i have been to this cute little corner shop on cedros twice now.
i have always loved browsing the cool shirts, scarves, earrings.
i bought a couple of crystal embellished candles from them, which were simply adorable.
i learned about their candle recycling program… bring in your empty candle cannister, and they will fill it with a scented wax of your choosing for a reasonable price (much less than the original candle!).
service is very sweet.
i love cedros, and am happy i found a quick go-​to place for gifts!

This new shop is the place to go for a gift for anyone from babies to adults of all ages. The staff is friendly and the place smells great! The is a retro toy section that is fun to shop in and the candles and scents are top shelf. Also the clothing and jewelry is just fun!

Wax and Whimsy is a great small business that fits right in to the Cedros Design District. The owner, Orly, is very friendly but does not hover or pressure you while you’re browsing. The store features a large selection of novelty items and eclectic gifts. They also sell a wide variety of soy based candles and offer a recandle service where you bring in your old candle vessels, choose a scent, and they’ll make you a new candle. This is a fantastic idea that I have not seen in Texas. It’s good for the environment by recycling the vessels and it’s the perfect solution for us picky home decorators that find the PERFECT candle for that table, counter or shelf and then are again at a loss when the candle is burned down. Now you’ll never be without your favorite candle.
I dropped in twice during my 5 day stay in Solana Beach. The first time I found a beautiful beaded necklace from Indonesia for $ 12.50 and the second time I returned to pick up a Batman wallet made of recycled material for my husband. This is the type of place that you’ll always find a unique gift for that hard-​to-​shop-​for person in your life.
