I am really don’t know much about Goodwill stores, but this one seems okay. I was in need of a jacket; I went in and saw one that would work. I took it up to the counter. I asked if they cleaned or washed things before them put them on the racks. The answer was no! I said I did not want it. Then I walk out of the door and it was cold. I realized I was crazy not to get it; surely it would not hurt me to wear it for a few hours. I was going to a photo workshop at 6:30 in the morning. I might not be able to even click the camera if I was cold. The camera might shake and the photos would be out of focus. Or, I would drop the camera, lens, or tripod. Back I went and purchased it. When I looked closer it still had tissue on the buttons, I guess it might be new. I was nice and warm and I donated it back to good will when I was done.

This Goodwill store is located in the Soledad Mission Shopping Center along Hwy 101 and its one of my favorite thrift stores. As you enter you are greeted by one or more of the store’s friendly staff. They bring things out throught the day so if you stop in the morning and then return a few hours later you will be pleased to find something new that you like. They also have the most items in almost new condition in any thrift store that I haver ever seen. My favorite area in the store is the books section. They have hundreds of books, audio and video products. Everyday they also have a color tag sale at 50% off. Every now and then, they also have the books at 50% off. In one display you will find purses, collectibles, and other valuable items available through silent bidding. Sometimes, their prices are too expensive considering that they are selling things that are used, that was donated to them, and that they have a 3 day return policy for damaded products.
