As far as ski resort food goes, it’s average. You get undersized and overpriced, but that’s the norm at resorts. The chicken strips are especially small(4 palm-sized strips to a basket) but placed on top of a pile of fries that will take care of any hunger remaining(I’d rather have one more mini-strip and less fries, for the record). The meatballs with lignonberry are similar to what you’d find at IKEA. I’m not sure that anything off the grill is actually made on site — I’d be willing to take a wager that they aren’t — but if you’re looking for gourmet, you’re at the wrong resort anyway. Stick with something from the cooler case– salads or sandwhiches– to get more bang for your buck. Unless you like filling up on fries. The awesome part about this place is the atmosphere. Watch skiers fly down the hill through the windows that cover the walls as you warm your feet by the oversized fireplace. The deck on the upper level works perfectly as a people-watching station on sunny days. The place is hardly ever crowded, so don’t worry about stopping in at the usual rush hours at other resorts. You might even still get a seat by the fire.
