Amazing service. Wow. Felt super welcome. Especially being local. Had the Carolina pulled pork it was perfect.

After a long day trip at Solvang, we decided to have the dinner. We chose this pub because the TV with sport channel attracted the kids. The prices are very reasonable and we enjoyed our food.

The prices are reasonable and it was good bar food. I enjoyed the onion rings! They only serve wine and beer, so be prepared for that!

Their spicy burger melt is to die for, by far the best melt I have in a long time. We replace the sourdough with their ry bread. The customer service is super and everyone is very friendly.

If you don’t eat anything else at Fitzpatrick’s… E A T — T H E — B R E A D — PU D D I N G! If you don’t like raisins, eat the bread pudding because they are not inside, they are garnish. If you don’t like milky bread pudding, eat the bread pudding! It was perfectly blended, baked and portioned to share. I went with 6 girlfriends and we were served by 3 servers, a female blond who was nice and attentive, a male server or «busser» who was friendly and Samuel. Not sure if I spelled his name correctly :), but he was personable, attentive and super observant. Our entrees consisted of: chicken pot pie-what a flaky pastry, chicken breast club-ciabatta bread which was so good, Club salad, Irish Stew and a Salmon burger. There was a little glitch with the salmon burger, as it was served with cheese, but cheese was not listed as an ingredient, and my friend doesn’t eat cheese. However, the burger was completely consumed once they re-made it without the cheese. In terms of the super observant Samuel, our bill, unbeknownst to us, included the gratuity. So, we paid and included 20% gratuity. Samuel, seemed to feel that we must not have realized the tip was included and brought the bill back and pointed it out and we had not known. Kudos to Fitzpatrick’s for great staff. Now that’s an observant server! Definitely will return upon our next trip to Solvang.

LOVED it at first we were looking for a «really nice dinner» but everything closed a lot earlier than we had expected. Firzpatrick’s was one of 3 places open and we choose to eat there because they had a decent choice other than burgers. When we entered it is really nicely decorated inside, lively and enjoyable. Our waiter was very attentive and made a few recommendations which were spot on. I had the chicken pot pie and my husband had the Irish Guinness Stew both were beyond our expectations! The manager Sam visited our table(and everyone else’s) often to ensure everything was good. He was very attentive and during conversation my husband mentioned it was our 13th anniversary and he brought us champagne to celebrate on the house! Over all the experience there was GREAT we had awesome food, comfortable environment, and GREAT service! looking forward to visiting again!

Surprisingly really good food for a pub. I have celiac disease so I always have to do some research before traveling. This place delivered! I was hesitant at first, but ended up having a delicious beet and goat cheese salad. It was so good! :)

Stopped by for a drink and a little snack. Wasn’t really crazy about the atmosphere since I was spoiled from all the cutesy Danish town with shops and restaurants that really set the mood. The French fries were a bit bland. A little pricy for a tavern but it was a nice place to stop and have a drink or two.

What a great experience. It was a gorgeous day when we came across this wonderful friendly tavern that perfectly represents the atmosphere of Solvang. The owner Samuel is so friendly and comfortable. I recommend Fitzpatrick’s Tavern to anyone looking for a great Solvang experience and awesome service.

THEBEST fish and chips I’ve ever had in my life. Bar none. We were passing through Solvang on our way to San Luis Obispo, and didn’t have a lot of time. I checked Unilocal, and this place looked good, so– great, let’s stop there. Once we arrived– me, husband, four kids– my teenage daughter refused to get out of the car because her boyfriend had just broken up with her via text. Despite that unfortunate frisson of drama, and the fact that we were down by one family member in the restaurant and worried about our weeping daughter, we were also hungry, dangit. Did I mention that these were the best fish and chips EVER? I mean, the breading was perfectly light and fluffy and crispy, like slightly crunchy little pillows. The fries were hot and delicious and nicely seasoned. The coleslaw was fresh and not too mayonnaisey. Oh my word. Previously, my best fish and chips memory(yes, I have one) is from when I was eight years old and my family was crossing the English Channel on some sort of ferry-type-thing, because we were moving from Germany to England by way of the scenic route. On that boat ride, I was served fish and chips, and it was phenomenal. Every version I’ve had since then has been but a pale imitation of my childhood ferry-food experience. Until Fitzpatrick’s. I would fly back to Solvang from DC to eat that again. The rest of the food was good too, but I wasn’t paying a whole lot of attention between my religious fish and chips experience and my concern about my lovelorn daughter. I got her a club sandwich to go, and she enjoyed it. FOLLOW-UP: The jerk boy is long gone, and he was short anyway.

Me and the hubby were in town and stopped for a pint to celebrate our 5th wedding anniversary. Had the fish and chips, and a Reuben sandwich. Outstanding! The fries are fresh cut, and that Reuben sandwich… piled thick with mouth watering delishesness! Slainte!

This place is awesome. Excellent environment and atmosphere. The menu is, for the most part, at the first glance, a typical bar menu; however, once you really look at the food it’s just a tad different. On the back side of the menu is all Irish authentic food, but they don’t start serving it until 4pm. They bake all of their bread, and make all of their stew from scratch each morning, according to our server. I ordered Philly Cheesesteak, and was very impressed. The bread and meat quality was perfect! It was incredibly delicious, and I will be bringing my father back here(who is from south philly). My wife ordered the Rueben, and said it was one of the best she’s had. And then there are the fries! Fresh cut and fried perfectly! Somebody mentioned their food took forever to arrive, this was Not the case for us. Our appetizer arrived so fast, I thought they brought us somebody else’s dish. Then right as we finished it, our food was delivered. The waitstaff were friendly and very warm and fun. A++

Lucky Dog Winery recommended this place to us and we loved it! My husband and I shared the Dubliner burger… I asked them to cut it in half and each half came in it’s own basket, with its own serving of fries and pickle. Nice! Burger was cooked to medium and to perfection! Very juicy and flavorful. The fries are made fresh and from real potatoes. The owner, Samuel, waited on us. So polite and so genuinely friendly. We will definitely go back the next time we are in town. P. S. Shout out to Lucky Dog! Brought home some of their Doggy Style Syrah and Everyday Chardonnay… very good!

The service here was extremely slow for us. We waited about 10 mins until someone approached us about drinks. They took our drink and food order at the same time. Even though we only ordered waters for the drinks they still didn’t arrive for another 10 – 15 mins when some of the entrees started coming out. The wait staff was continually checking up and servicing most other tables except ours. The prices are pretty expensive for what you get. The biggest disappointment was the $ 8 salad which was incredibly tiny not even enough for one person — should have only been $ 4. The $ 11 pork sliders were just ok but also very tiny. We also can’t recommend the corn chowder or Mac and cheese as our friends who ordered them said they were mediocre. It then took another 10 minutes to receive our check. Overall can’t really recommend this place. Maybe if you sit at the bar you can at least get faster service.

Soo we randomly ended up here after some wine tasting, ice cream, and looking for a place to eat since there was a parade going in which was very cute. The food here was good. The service was very slow though. The calamari and pulled pork sandwiches were very good. It’s mainly a bar. They bathrooms are located outside the building.

Great place to grab a burger and brew! Dogs and kids allowed in this establishment. Shepards pie is great as well as the Cobb salad. Skip the corn potato soup. Lots of television for sports watching! Great service, outside seating, nice location in Solvang.
