Won’t be coming back. When I got here I couldnt park in front to check in, no valet, no bell hop to help me so I make 3 trips to bring up our luggage. They also tried to say our room was unavailable and offered us something different but when pressed found our original room for us. A little weird. But the real failure was that we had multiple packages sent here for our arrival. The packages were to be delivered the day we checked in however they rejected one by mistake. We’re getting married in two days and now we have to scramble to replace our lost shipment. But worse than all of that was how rude Donna at the front desk was about it. No apology and then walks off saying«you handle her» to another staff member. I’ve never been treated so rudely by a supposedly nice hotel.

Kudos go to this hotel! Last weekend I was in town for a wedding event and I lost my very small Fitness tracker. I called and the front desk advised me to leave a message with housekeeping. I got a call and spoke with the very kind head of housekeeping who checked through the lost and found. The thorough cleaning staff had found my tracker, imagine something the size of a large nut, and they sent it back to me right away at the event dept’s expense! Such amazing customer service! It says so much about the professionalism of the staff from the person who found the item to the woman who spoke with me over the phone to the event planning team who took care of getting the item packed and shipped. I am so humbled and impressed. Great job Hotel Corque! Thank you!

Stayed here over memorial day weekend. This was our second time. The carpets and elevator were dirty… looked worn out. Our room was clean, but the bed was not very comfortable. The sheets make a lot of noise and both my husband and I woke up with our backs hurting. I think for Solvang, this is a decent place to stay over the motels, but the price is high for what you get. We tried to rent a movie and they are only offering adult movies for purchase. When I called and asked the front desk, they said that they were in transition with their movie choices… But really, only adult features? The front desk was friendly, but not helpful. Seemed they could provide no info about the area. But the Santa Ynez wineries made up for it. Koehler and Roblar were great places. Just too expensive for what you get.

So far… this comfort doesn’t mean much with the unbearably loud thumping from the hippos on pogo sticks throwing the 2016 Olympics above me. This is gonna be a nightmare… Good news. they let us change rooms. Now I can fully enjoy this plush, modern, swanky-rustic place! Super cool lobby… though it feels like you’re applying for a loan when you check-in. Take the stairs. The stairs are carpeted, well-lit, with art. Has to be the nicest hotel stairs ever. Someone please hold a hotel stairs beauty contest. Super comfortable bed. The chair is just as comfortable. Great climate control. Pretty room and bathroom. Shuttle to the casino. Great location in the heart of the village, with hotel bar(Root 246) plus our favorite wine room in Solvang and Phở 805 right across the street. Loved everything(once I was on the third floor). In many ways just as nice as Fess Parker, which costs much more. Ok, I’m gonna go down to the lobby and look into a Roth IRA.

I got married at Root 246, the restaurant connected to the hotel and many of our guest including my husband and myself stayed at Hotel Corque. I was beyond pleased with service I got being a bride from out of town. Chyanna was our coordinator and I couldn’t have been happier with her and all her hard work. Any questions I had with a quick email I would get a response within 24 hours. Planning a wedding 3 hours away from home can be a challenge especially when you don’t have a wedding planner it went so smoothly! Everything was perfect!

For the price we expected more. Staff was helpful and friendly enough. Listening to the late night guy blab each morning in the lobby while waiting for my wife to wake up wasn’t very relaxing though. He’s opinionated which is fine. But you hear every single word anyone says in that lobby. Water wasn’t available all day in the lobby and coffee was repeatedly empty. Refilled on request but again, if we pay their rates I expect better. The carpets and elevators were less than impressive though the rooms and bathrooms were nice. Pillows were really nice but the bed? Woke up every night with an achy back. My wife did one of the nights too. Pool and hot tub were standard. It wasn’t a bad place. Just not worth the money. Sorry.

First time staying in Solvang, but have been here before, this hotel exceeded my expectations quite a bit. It was the host location for the Solvang Knife Show 2016, and it is always nice to have an event and lodging at the same location. Parking was very easily accomplished, we were able to park in their lot, very close to the front door. This alone was a pleasant surprise. The location in Solvang is just about perfect, easy to access roads, and within convenient walking distance of just about everything you would want to see in Solvang We arrived early(11:00 am) and check in is not until 4:00 pm. They made the accommodation for us, the room was ready about 30 minutes after we arrived. The room was very clean, sufficiently spacious the bathroom was VERY clean, the beds and pillows were comfortable and the setting on the room temperature was perfect… that almost never happens. We didn’t really use any of the dining facilities, but the Ultra Lounge in Root 246 is touted as being a setting of warm, modern comfort and it was. Drink prices were not bad at all, and aside from a bit of attitude from one of the bartenders(Stephanie(sp?))…it was all good as well. Bottom line, it was convenient, comfortable and we were pleased. Would very likely stay here again.

My bf and I went on a road trip and decided to stop at hotel corque to rest for our first night. Bf arrived sick and tired due to food poisoning so we requested a quiet room for him to rest. The front desk first gave us a room right next to the lobby. At first we were worried that we might be able to hear noises from the lobby and he wouldn’t be able to rest. Surprisingly, the room was really quiet bf took a good nap. However, there were kids upstairs running around about an hour after we checked in and we could hear the foot steps quite loudly. I went back to the front desk and talked to the front desk supervisor Lawrence to ask to switch a room. He immediately looked up a room on the second floor far away from the lobby and at the same time kept apologizing for the inconvenient(which is not even his fault! he wasn’t the one who assigned us the room in the first place). Lawrence switched us to a bigger room on the second floor which is super far away from all the noises, and thanks to him, my bf got a great rest the whole night and felt a lot better. Not only was the service on point, the room was really clean and their bed is definitely one of the most comfortable bed i’ve slept in(firm mattress)

My wife stayed at the hotel for a couple of days. Unfortunately she forgot her phone charger. When we called the service personal showed an attitude, saying they only would send the charger back via Fedex, which would cost more than the device’s price tag. We asked if it wouldn’t be possible to simply put it in an envelope and send it via mail. The person on the phone instead said we only do Fedex, our policy. She showed an attitude, saying so many people forget their stuff here. With this kind of attitude this hotel has not made us fans. No recommend and next time another place. We travel a lot and never encountered such blasé attitude. Oh, and not to forget to mention, dinner food quality was very bad. In brief this hotel seems to be a tourist-see-you-one-time-we-don’t-care setup.

I just returned from a one night stay at Hotel Corque, and while I enjoyed my stay and would recommend the hotel, there are a couple of issues that prevent a five star rating. The details of my one night stay for price comparisons: Date: Sunday 03÷13÷16 Rate: $ 179.10 before taxes for one king Santa Ynez room(«poolside”-ish). Total after taxes: $ 202.59 Room: 152 CHECK-IN The check-in clerk is the only employee of Hotel Corque that I interacted with. She was friendly and efficient. Check-in took about three minutes. THEROOM(#152) When I decided to stay at Hotel Corque, I went to their website and browsed the available rooms for my date. I narrowed my choices to two: the«Treetop Premium» and the«Santa Ynez Premium». The Santa Ynez room is about $ 30 more per night, but I chose it based on this description from the website and room registration confirmation: «Features signature views of the Santa Ynez hills from a private balcony or patio. These poolside rooms offer the definitive escape into the Central Coast wine country.» Sounds lovely, doesn’t it? When I arrived to my room, what I discovered was a clean, pleasing room… with a view of a wall, a trailer, and my neighbor’s patio.(See pictures) The fact is that my room may have been on the same side of the hotel as the pool, but I think it’s deceptive to call it «poolside». The patio is a nice size and has two comfortable chairs, but there is no view to speak of. On the left is a stucco wall with the parking lot on the other side, complete with a construction trailer, and then beyond that a row of outhouses. There is a wall just past the patio fence, and on the other side of that is parking. To the right is a view of the neighbor’s patio. As far as a view of the mountains, I could see part of a mountain behind a tree. All this to say, if you want a view, make sure you do not receive room 152 upon check in. In addition, I’d advise going to floor two or three to see above the ground level foliage and beyond the parking lot. THEGOOD about the room… The king size bed was very comfortable. There were plenty of soft pillows on the bed and an additional one in one of the bureau drawers. One of the nightstands had two easily accessible electrical outlets which is excellent; you will be able to plug in a phone and something else for easy access, without unplugging something. The electronic controls for the central air & heat were easy to adjust, and the air conditioning unit worked well. The mini-fridge concealed in the bureau worked well. The flat screen television was a good size for the room and swivels, so you can angle it to the comfortable chair in the corner. It has HBO, Cinemax, and a typical cable line up. I didn’t notice rentable movies, except for the adult variety. As mentioned, the patio is large. The bathroom is large, clean, and well stocked with towels, robes, and toiletries. There are two sinks on opposite walls and a decent sized glass-enclosed shower. There is no bath tub. The closet automatically lights when opened. There is a bureau with three drawers(but they are pre-stuffed with extra blankets and pillows. You’ll need to remove those if you want to use the drawers for your clothes.) There is a four-cup coffee maker(enough for two mugs) with the following complimentary offerings: a regular coffee package from Santa Barbara Roasters, a four cup decaf coffee package from Santa Barbara Roasters, a hot cocoa packet, two tea options, plus two powdered creamers, two sugars and Splenda, and two stirrers. There are wine glasses provided in the room. There is a nice size desk with desk-height electrical outlets. This desk would also double as a dining table if pulled from the wall. There is a second desk-type chair for dining for two. The wi-fi in the room was free and worked very well without hassle. THEBAD… The view for me, as mentioned, was non-existent. The noise from the room upstairs was quite noticeable, both footsteps and plumbing. Luckily, the guests upstairs during my stay were not a rowdy bunch. OTHERNOTES… There was a Fiji water available in the room for a $ 5 charge. The in-room dining option is from the upscale Root 246 restaurant next door. I haven’t tried the restaurant, but have heard good things. However, note: the cheapest in-room dining entrée was the grilled cheese sandwich for $ 11. OTHERHOTELAMENITIES… The hotel lobby is large and comfortable. A fire was going when I arrived on a rainy afternoon. There are plenty of plush chairs throughout as well. There are interior hallways throughout. When I arrived in the rain, there was neither valet nor bellhop service, though it apparently is offered sometimes. There was plenty of free, available parking during my stay. Hotel Corque’s location on Alisal is very convenient, versus staying on busy Mission Dr./246. NUTSHELL… It’s a nice place and a comfortable room. Just don’t trust their website room descriptions.

We’ve stayed here several times when Chumash was sold out and I like staying here. The rooms are nice and the beds are comfortable, and they do a nice job of keeping everything clean. I also like the location to everything in Solvang even though it’s on the far end. This past visit we were on the first floor and could here the people above us walk and close the bathroom door, I don’t recommend the first floor.

Booked online through or trivago. We stayed overnight after Christmas. I looked at so many different hotels but heard such good reviews about this one. LOCATION is excellent in walking distance of everything. The lobby was beautiful with a Christmas tree and fireplace. Parking excellent and free. Service was nice and friendly. Pricing was a bit ridiculous $ 300 for one night but I understand probably season prices. We stayed on 3rd floor nothing too spectacular for view. The temperature heating/AC for room worked really well but a bit dry. Shower and bath tub/bathroom lovely but shampoo and lotion smelled icky. We requested a bath tub that was nice. Bed was ok king size bed but the mattress was flimsy felt old and used like there was a slump in the middle of the bed. Ambience a little spooky in the hallways. Nice enough stay but would like to check out other places next time.

Absolutely amazing! We had a wonderful stay here overnight for road trip San Diego to Bay Area. The life size gingerbread house really enhanced the Christmas spirits. The staffs are friendly and extremely helpful with eatery recommendations! Will be booking another stay in the future!

A GREAT hotel and a great price! Thank you to Hotel Corque and staff for the great service. My daughter, husband and myself enjoyed our stay and will be back again! Why we enjoyed it: *GREAT costumer service– all of the staff we interacted with was very pleasant and polite *The beds were very comfortable *The room was clean & spacious *great price– we payed $ 117 for the night(booked on Expedia) while other local hotels/inns were more than that and not as nice as Hotel Corque *The free coffee, tea and water in the lobby is a definite plus! The only con: *The room temperature was set to 50 degrees so it was freezing when we came in but we quickly changed the temperature and made it comfortable for us.

Was a little worried about staying here after reading reviews, but I had a great stay. The hotel was pretty nice. Rooms were clean, AC was great, beds were super comfy, the washroom was clean, shower pressure was fabulous. The location was great with lots of shopping/dinning options, near by – walking distance. Yes, it was a bit pricey, but I would definitely say this was the 2nd best option in town(behind The Landby which was sold out).

What a great value! We booked last minute & were happy with the price of around 170 for a double queen room. A few other places in town with worse ratings & amenities were the same price. The place is fairly new & the pool/jacuzzi area is pretty modern, comfy & open late(til 11). Free coffee & tea along with wifi.

The hotel is located walking distance to the center of Solvang town. Hotel room is clean, big and very modernized and staff is very friendly. Upon check-in, the staff gave us a town map and were very helpful when we asked them what are the must-try places to visit. We booked the standard room and was surprised that the bathroom is pretty big, has 2 bathroom sink, just nice for HIM(myself) and HER(myself!). It’s nice to be staying so near to the town, it’s just a minute away, very convenient! Perfect location!

Solid 4 star hotel in Solvang. The hotel is located walking distance to all the main attractions of the town. The rooms are well appointed with some nice touches such as a mini fridge, extremely comfortable bed, outlets on each side of the bed and balcony. The bathroom was one of the best hotel bathrooms for a few reasons; dual sinks with well positioned towel bars, large multi-shelf linen closet, pocket door and excellent lighting. Adequate storage is something almost no hotels have despite the fact that hotel guests are traveling with their own toiletries. Big kudos for this well thought out design. The hotel offers a selection of coffees, teas and infused water in the lobby. The large lobby chairs and fireplace are inviting. Check in tables are intimate and inviting. There is ample parking for the hotel guests. The only reason this isn’t a 5 star hotel is the extremely poor wifi in the rooms. Maybe it’s an attempt to have patrons disconnect from technology. The wifi is included in the room rate which is also a nice touch for a high end hotel. If you’re in Solvang and want to stay at the best hotel in town, Hotel Corque is the place to be.
