The pizza they served at this place was the worst I’ve ever had. I figured it wouldn’t be around long.

I was just told this place is closed for business. Sad to hear it, I really enjoyed the GF pizza there. :-(

I saw a chance to give something my husband would really use. He loves the Cinemark movie theater in Somerdale, and on one of those discounted Living Social kind of place there it was my answer to a Fathers Day gift. I tried one of the coupons one night before giving the rest. I thought I would surprise him… little did I know I was surprised. The place was run by kids age 16 to 22. Manager was young also, but responsible. ANYWAY it did not even taste like dough. It tasted like bread with toppings that did not take the dryness away. Sorry but I would give this a zero for taste, and originality. Someone told me the Cherry Hill chain is delicious. Do Not want to be fooled twice.

Save your money. Skip this place. The large pizzas are $ 2 to $ 3 more than your typical pizza place, yet the quality is mediocre at best. We ordered a New York style pizza and it came out looking like a generic cheese pizza. There was nothing New York about it… Except maybe the price. The red flag came when I realized they shared a space with a yogurt shop. That’s never a good combination for quality pizza.

Picture Golden Corral trying to get into the pizza business, yeah, it’s that bad. Service was okay, but overall product is simply awful

We ordered a simple buffalo chicken pizza, but the woman who took our order wanted to ensure she handled it with some TLC. By the time she was finished sprinkling on the cheese, the couple’s pizza behind us was already being shoved into the oven. Needless to say, our pizza took far too long, and we couldn’t even pay or get a drink until our host finished cutting the aforementioned pizza for the couple after us. The fountain soda machine was broken, but our host kept selling soft drinks. The other woman was extremely efficient and great. The pizza itself was nothing to write home about. The dough seemed undercooked, and it was far too thin to be considered pizza. After having just run a 5k, I wasn’t picky; however, I made a note never to eat from here again. For 17 $, I could’ve gotten much more than undercooked, thin pizza that took too long to make.

Abysmal and slow service, especially the individual who seems to lack a brain and just lets the pizzas set on fire. You know, because apparently you don’t need to watch pizzas to see when they’re done.

Interesting concept — it’s like a Subway franchise but for pizza. What I most appreciate is the flat price no matter what you order. If you want a 10 inch personal pie, it’s like $ 7.70(or something like that) to either make your own from scratch or customize one of their specialty pizzas. I’ve only been in there twice and had very different experiences both times. The first time I went in, the kids behind the counter were slow and unattentive. I got my pizza quickly, though, and took it back to my office where I opened it to find that it was completely missing the pepperoni. So I called back to let them know and they said I could bring it back and they’d fix it or make me a new one, but I wasn’t able to leave my office again. They didn’t offer me any kind of discount for the next visit. The second time I went in, my experience was much better. Even though there was a line and the place was pretty full, I didn’t wait long. This time the person behind the counter was much more attentive and the cashier was a lot quicker. My pizza was ready in about two minutes and I ate it there(very good). The cashier offered me a discount punch card, which I hadn’t been offered during my first visit. I mentioned that, and she didn’t offer to stamp it a second time for me. No biggie. One suggestion: Get pot holders for the eat-in customers who have to carry their pizzas back to their seats(or get staff members to carry the pizzas out to the customers). It’s tricky trying to line up the paper plates across the bottom of the hot metal pan and I almost dropped my pizza. I can see a lot of disasters happening this way across that crowded cash-register/drink/trash can area. Overall, I like the concept and the variety of sauces and toppings for the pizzas. Not quite the crispy, thin-crust, artisan style pizza like you might be thinking of, but still a tasty, quick, convenient, and affordable option.

1000 Degree Pizza introduced a new concept to South Jersey, but it’s debatable if they succeeded at it. They brought Chipotle’s fast casual model of being able to pick and choose what toppings you want to pizza. This is interesting because it basically lets you be adventurous with what toppings you want and it lets you try stuff you probably wouldn’t do otherwise. That said, it didn’t feel like an extra ordinarily good pizza and the quality of the toppings weren’t always up to snuff. I think the part that confused me the most was that they have a soda machine, but there is no water — you have to buy bottled water. If this is legal, this is news to me. It’s an interesting concept but there is news already that more established fast casual pizza chains are moving to the Marlton, NJ area. And when they come, I’m not sure if I’ll go back to 1000 degrees. It was good, but it didn’t amaze me, and in an area with tons of pizza options, that is a problem.

I should have known when the person I ordered from on the phone told me the 2 pizzas I ordered would be ready in «5−10 minutes» that this wasn’t a good sign. The pizzas were waiting at the counter while I got there(not on a hot oven as most places). I noticed that there was a tower of pre-made pizza doughs so I guess they aren’t making these fresh. And, while the toppings are arranged in an appealing way for customers to make their own pizza, they looked stale and unsavory. When I brought the boxes out to the car for my daughter to hold on her lap I realized that the bottom wasn’t remotely hot. Got home, opened the boxes and my first thought was how small the pies were. Next was the taste test and they failed miserably. The crust is chewy not in a good way, bordering on soggy and tastes like cardboard. The sauce has an ok taste but it’s hard to get past the fact that you have to chew the pizza so much to get it down. I’ve had better frozen pizzas. I’m glad I had a coupon. These will be going in the trash.

Pizza was okay, nothing to rave about. The pizza had a thin crust, but only crispy around the edges… hard to pick up the slices to eat. Sauce was good, we had the San marzano sauce. Grande mozzarella. U literally can pick ur own sauce, cheese & toppings. Veggie toppings were fresh, and no complaints about the meat from hubby. The bottom of the pizza had the charcoal char which I could taste when eating the pizza. Not sure if pizza was in oven too long, but our pie definitely wasn’t out of the oven in 2min. Customized pies or choose from their signature pies. U can order 11″ personal pie, or the 14″. We split the 14 inch pie. They have gluten free crust also. Restaurant was clean. In same location as the Yogo factory. Young staff friendly and helpful. Overall not a bad place… I would come back, but just not on a day that I have a craving for authentic Italian pizza!!!

Q: When is a 1000 degrees not so hot, A: Located in Somerdale, I was anxious to try this new Pizza venue, based on the pictures on the web site, which by the way was almost useless using from my iPAd. On a beautiful Friday night with friends and neighbors over, we ordered 4 pizzas. Unfortunately it was almost impossible to order using my iPad so we ended up calling… no big deal. When I went to pick up the pizza it was ready and waiting so no problem there… even used a groupon which was nice. The problem was when we got home and opened the box. The anchovies pizza had 4 slim anchovies geometrically lined up in the middle. The red pepper pizza had a handful of uncooked peepers spread across. The meatball pizza looked to have one small meatball cut in half and quartered and tossed onto the pizza. 3 slices had no meatball. Ok… so they were not generous on the toppings, certainly not like the web site pictures. But besides the spare toppings the perfectly round obviously premade crust was anything but crisp. It flopped as soon as it was picked up. The quality as far as taste was just below, that of a frozen pizza that I could have picked up at the supermarket. Just to give you an idea, 2 hungry teenagers took bites of the pizza we had in the box and put it back… and highschool kids should eat anything called pizza… Maybe this is a training issue or I picked a bad night, I will not likely be back soon
