One of my favorite diners. Seafood bisque is amazing! The staff are friendly but could be a bit more attentive depending on the time that you go. The portions are huge and not over seasoned. The cost is normal for diner style food and service. I’m in love with their chicken pot pie soup and the pie itself. They’re super clean which is important. It’s becoming my regular diner spot.

It’s doesn’t look like the best diner around, but never had a bad meal here. For dinner, you definatly get what you pay for. a «cup» of soup is a small bowl. Pork chops huge and juicy. Love the stuffed flounder. Recently had the chicken marsala, and again, delicious. Prices are average, which is surprising, for the larger portions you get. The cornbread you get with dinner is one of my favs My only complaints: #1. Small glasses. I feel like the glasses are so small. I take 2 – 3 sips, and it’s gone. #2. I do not like, when you pay with a credit card, they ask you if you want to add the tip. Personally, I don’t like to announce to everyone around me what, if any, I want to add. They do this, because they are lazy. Normally, they go back to enter the tip, but they rather do it all at once. Other than these 2 things, we generally go at least once a week.

Wi-fi connects but always times out. When asked, management states it works, so no interest to correct it. Great pancakes though! Update, it’s been 4 months and the wi-fi still is not working. I wouldn’t care but my phone connects and the I have to turn off wi-fi and remember to turn it on when I leave. Just turn off the wi-fi please. Great pancakes tho ;-)

First time I have ever been to this diner and they lived up to my diner standards(which are high being a Jersey girl). We ate there after a concert and they were near closing, we never felt rushed or like a burden despite being the only table there. The waitress was so nice and friendly and even made a fresh pot of decaf coffee for me. The mozzarella sticks were just what my hungry heart needed! I will for sure be making this my new diner since I am new to the area!

Decent diner, average diner food. This diner is the first I’ve experienced that gives you bread(cornbread and cheese rolls) before the meal for free, which is nice!

Have been coming here since high school and keeping on with it! The owner and staff are all so sweet and I’ve not had a bad experience. Typical jersey diner serving up all your favorites for a reasonable price. I rarely come for dinner, breakfast is really where it’s at. Huge portions that will leave you full through dinner. Great hangover cure they have specials Monday-Friday as well, and have a full bar if you want to hang and watch the game.

My Sunday morning breakfast with my boyfriend. He loves it and is always happy with it here. Breakfast is really good here. Can get really busy from 10 – 1 due to surrounding church schedules but it’s worth the wait. The owners or managers at the register are super nice too.

I absolutely love this place. I eat here all the time. Super clean, super friendly. Love the menu’s variety. Staff beyond excellent. Best breakfast I ever had. I try to get new things off of the dinner menu, nut their chicken croquettes are the best I ever had.

When my family entered this place I told my self, «Is it too late to leave?» I saw the menu… 6 or 8 pages of the broadest assortment of food I’ve ever seen on a menu. I told my family, «This place violates the rule that if you try to do everything then you will be particularly good at nothing.» They have over 100 items on the menu, from Spinakopita to crab cakes to cheeseburgers. I asked the waitress, «What do you have that is fresh?» She said, «What do you mean fresh?» I meant prepared today. She said the Brussell sprouts and the broccoli was fresh, and I chose that along with the crab cakes. She said the crab cakes were prepared yesterday. I asked if they had imitation crab and she said they were made with real crab. Being from New Orleans, La. and having eaten hundreds of crab cakes in my life, this is something I could tell immediately. They brought me canned peas and canned mushrooms(easy to tell) as the mushrooms were grey and rubbery, typical of canned. The broccoli was limp and overcooked. The crab cakes did have some real crab in it, however also large chunks of imitation crab meat. The croutons in the salad were pieces of toasted bread that were soaked or fried in cooking oil. The only way that this place stays is in business is by the ignorance of passers-by that happen upon it. I could make my family a better meal myself in 30 minutes. It was the biggest waste of $ 70 I’ve spent on food in years. A positive note though, the waitress was very nice and I tipped her 15%…

i am a transgender individual who has been to this diner a few times. After my last visit however, once my sister and I, left our server began to trans bash me behind my back. I know this because i was approached the next day in a supermarket by someone who was there, and was appalled to witness such an act by staff. I will never go to this place again, and to make matters worse my sister has been trying to reach the owner of this diner for a few days now, and he is avoiding us completely. Which makes me wonder was he apart of this trans phobic fest? What have the servers at this diner said, and done behind the backs of other customers? What are they saying about you when you go to eat their?

The first time we came here, the food was great and the service was even better. The second time we went, the food was ok… though I got chicken(which I do not eat out) francaise instead of flounder francaise. The third time was terrible. The flounder francaise was gross. My husband’s turkey was so so. But the kicker was that our waitress was to busy watching«Catfish» on MTV to bring our desserts or bring us our check. Three strikes and you’re out, Starview!

This place has changed names so many times, it’s hard to keep track. I would say that it’s an average diner with a slightly wider selection of food and slightly nicer(due to recent renovations) atmosphere. Many locals go here because it’s convenient and the service is usually good, but I wouldn’t travel to get here. I’m between 2 – 3 starts… It’s ok.

Went to Starview on a Saturday morning. We were seated immediately. The service was great. Our waitress was attentive, smiled, and provided great service. I had a Belgian waffle w/strawberries and whipped cream w/a side of bacon. The waffle was delicious and the waitress put extra whipped cream on it(she did this on her own) which added to my enjoyment. My only complaint was that the bacon was average and each piece was cooked to varying degrees as one piece would be crispy and the next would be barely done. Despite that, I will definitely be going back.

I met my friends on the Jersey side and they love diners, so, one of them suggested we have our lunch here. The menu is so HUGE, so many choices. They have great specials –lunch specials and early bird specials. We all had a lunch special of flounder stuffed with crab, a soup of choice and two veggies. We all had lentil soup, and two of us had brussel sprouts, mashed potatoes with gravy and the other had coleslaw a nd mashed potatoes and gravy. Our coffee and tea was included, all for under $ 10! We all thought the food was great, we had an excellent and nice waitress and they serve lacas coffee(Which they sell bags of beans at counter). It was a nice, relaxing meal. No one rushed us. They were all very nice. The bathroom was clean and tidy. We will return as a group and they who reside in South Jersey will return with other friends and Spouses.

This place is just okay, breakfast is the meal they do best. I ordered a French Dip Sandwich and the meat was inedible and full of fat and gristle. The club sandwiches and stuff like that were pretty yum. The restaurant has a full bar and the chocolate cookie we purchased to go was amazing.

I like to go here, though I don’t very often. There’s nothing special about this diner. Traditional tacky décor, extensive mediocre menu, and an aged staff. Sometimes we get a leery eye from the hostess, which annoys me. Sorry we aren’t senior citizens. Starview is overpriced, but there are some really sweet servers. The place is clean with big windows and big comfy booths.

Dinner was delicious and everyone left happy. Our serve was attentive and cordial. The daily special, salmon stuffed with crabmeat, two vegetables, soup, and dessert(pudding, ice cream, or jello) for $ 9.99 quickly caught my eye(see photos). The meal was scrumptious and on this rare occasion, I ate ALL of my meal(had a light breakfast and no lunch). I am thankful the food was so good. I ate everything and am now a fan! The menu is varied with many selections. There’s sure to be something for everyone… make sure you ask for the obvious items such as mashed potatoes, rice). The inside of the diner is absolutely beautiful. There are many booths available as well as tables that can be combined for larger parties. It appears to have been remodeled recently but I forgot to ask. The restroom was clean and fresh and that alone scores a few stars with me! When you are done eating, there is dessert aplenty(see photo). I look forward to my next visit and meal at Starview Diner.
