I do love a good cup of coffee. I came in and was greeted by a nice young lady that was very helpful and gave excellent suggestions. I ordered one of their house specialties and it was delicious. Great service, quality drinks, and reasonable prices. Can’t ask for more than that.

A great place to have coffee. Friendly service. Wonderful muffins. The cranberry walnut muffins on Saturday are a must. They also have a fantastic variety of coffee related gifts that make great presents. Family owned and operated, it has become a landmark and jewel for the Somerset community.

Best coffee… anywhere anyhow! I was in Somerset several months ago to visit family and had some coffee in Baxter’s coffeehouse. Enjoyed it so much I bought some to take home. And, I’ve been ordering it to make at home ever since.

Baxter’s Coffee is an excellent coffee house. The employees were GREAT I got an almond flavored coffee and my 7 year old little girl got a frozen hot chocolate. We enjoyed our drinks at a window table and a complimentary newspaper. I WILL go back.

Coffee shops are a rarity in the South. Every one drinks soda(pop) or sweet tea day in and day out. Usually by the 2nd day I am a miserable mess depending on hotel continental breakfast and hospital coffee to survive. I was delighted that Somerset had several coffee options(including a Dunkin’) but that one was home grown, and quite awesome. Over the course of 2 trips, averaging 4 days each you can guarantee I started my day with a Baxter’s and had a pick me up from their LCRH location in the late afternoon. The coffee was always hot, fairly strong, and consistent. Espresso was available as well, which left me almost flabbergasted. Coffee, and more so espresso? I surely was not in Kentucky anymore, but alas I was! They also had some neat snacks and frozen drinks. I’ll surely be pointing my caffeine seeking coworkers here when they are in town.

We stopped here one afternoon while on a trip in the Lake Cumberland area. Nice assortment of beverages and snacks. We played some games they had on site while we drank coffee. I ordered a frozen chocolate drink, but was fairly dissapointed with the quality. It was a nice place though and others liked their warm beverages(latte, chai tea, coffee, etc) so I’m sure if I would have picked differently I may have been happier.

Limited lunch menu but they make up for it in baked goods. Good food, great coffee, and very good service. I would definitely come again

My husband and I were staying in Somerset for a family funeral, and having not been back in many years were concerned when we saw nothing but fast food restaurants lining Highway 27. On a turn toward downtown, though, I spotted Baxter’s and we stopped for hot drinks on a rainy day. We both had great soy-milk based drinks(a chai for me and a caramel steamer for him) and were very happy with both. And though we didn’t stay for long, it was clear that Baxter’s could be a cozy, friendly spot to while away the afternoon with the addition of a snack from the appealing bakery case. We’ll definitely be back when family visits call us back to Kentucky.

This is a very friendly and comfortable coffee shop. We made an impromptu stop here because it was raining on us and we needed to warm up. They make good espresso drinks, have some snacks to go with the coffee –and we enjoyed it so much we bought a pound of coffee to go! Highly recommended.

For a former Seattle-ite, phenomenal coffee is hard to find in Kentucky! Baxters is above and beyond the best coffee I’ve had since moving out here! I wish I lived closer!

Location has poor parking and it is difficult to get out safely. Once inside the place has a great feel to it. The choices seem almost endless, I drink skinny lattes with sugar free flavors. They the most consistent that I have gotten anywhere It is the business we visit when returning to Somerset to visit family.

Best coffee in Somerset. The shop has a simple yet diverse bean selection. This place saved me when I had my tonsils removed. 3 weeks of hell but the frozen mocha’s with extra protein powder were awesome and probably kept me from death. =) Friendly service but long waits. The prices are fair as well.
