Excellent wines and a breathtaking view! Our favorite wine was the Once In A Blue Moon. A great place to come for a tasting or drive up to share a bottle of wine, take a seat on the patio, and enjoy the rolling hills. The views are stunning, even on a rainy day. You will not be disappointed!

I don’t know were to start! This place is breathtakingly beautiful, the owners are super nice, friendly, with an amazing story, and the wine is tasty. We arrive about 5pm and left at around 6pm, we tasted all 6 different wines and bought a few bottles. All very well priced. I had read that it was hard to get there via gps, i found this to not be true, I had no problem finding the place with google maps, even if you did there is plenty of signs to follow. If I ever return to Kentucky, I will definitely visit again!

It was a little hard to find this place at first. If you’re in the Somerset city limits, take KY80 East. At the intersection of KY80 East and KY1003, you’ll see the first of several signs for Cedar Creek Vineyards. Just follow those signs the rest of the way, and you’ll be fine. Please don’t rely on your GPS for this. Once we arrived at Cedar Creek, we were very happy we made the trip. While the tasting area may be small, it’s very nice and the owner is very friendly. Really it was our great conversation with the owner that made this a unique experience. We left with two bottles of wine, and we can’t wait to go back!

Rally small place but nice guy running it. The samples are 5 for $ 5. But worth the price. Mostly sweeter wines, including a raspberry mead. They’re blueberry was more tart, nice flavor to it. It’s a little off beaten road. If you have problem on one lane roads it’ll be the longest five minutes of your life

Before heading to our bed and breakfast destination by lake Cumberland, we decided to take the short trip of the beaten path to Cedar Creek. It’s not too far from the interstate but it’s not necessarily close either, so you have to be in the mood to drive a bit out of the way. The tasting room is in the basement, in the back of the winery that might also dub as a house. I decided to do a tasting and tried several wines before falling in love with the blueberry wine. I decided to have a glass on the patio, ok it was actually two, but I wasn’t the one driving. There was a swing and several chairs out on the patio. The view was indescribable, the kind of view that makes you wonder why Kentuckians ever vacation outside of our beautiful state. When we first sat out on the patio there was an annoying couple who blabbed and gossiped loudly. I was so glad when they left and we had the patio to ourselves and then it was an amazing experience.

I visited Cedar Creek Vineyards for the first time this weekend and was so impressed. The winery is located on a gorgeous, tiny country road. The scenery and land surrounding it is breathtaking. The winery itself is very quaint and cute. The tastings were very affordable and the wine was delicious. The owners were friendly and helpful. We tasted all of the wines, all of which I enjoyed(my boyfriend who isn’t a big fan of wines enjoyed them all as well). We ended our afternoon there with a glass of our favorites, strolled the land and enjoyed the quiet patio. As we were leaving, the owner Jeff, gave us a quick tour of the bottling area. Between my parents, my boyfriend and I, we couldn’t decide which wines we wanted to buy bottles of so we ended up with a full case. I grew up in Somerset but moved away three years ago. I would definitely visit again and take any out of town guests with me as it is a great attraction in Somerset.

Road-tripping through Southern Kentucky we followed a highway sign to Cedar Creek Vineyards. The drive up the wooded hills on a windy unpaved road was scenic enough, but when you arrive you are greeted with the crisp open air of a hilltop vineyard overlooking a magnificent valley. Before we ever tasted the wine we fell in love with this winery. The tasting room trail leads to the basement of the cabin-style home of the Vinters. The tasting room is cozy, but that is probably because if it is at all tolerable outside you should go outside and enjoy the majestic scenery. It was January, so we opted to not freeze to death, indoors. Cedar Creek had a variety of wines to sample with a focus on regional varieties of grapes that flourish in the Kentucky climate. After a long administrative struggle to start up their vineyards the owner’s persistant focus on sustainable and organic practices is admirable… and tasty! We bought the Niagara and Catawba, but should have gone back for more. :)
