Walked in for a pedicure. The water was nice and hot, but things kind of fell apart after that. The nail tech phoned in her dinner order while she was doing my pedicure(hate feeling like I don’t have their undivided attention when I’m paying for their time). The tech then informed me that I was«really pale.» Um, ok? I found that pretty rude in tone and not intended as a compliment(and no language barrier that could have confused the issue as she was born and raised in Somerset County). As far as nail care, a light filing was done, cuticles pushed back, and nails buffed, but that’s where it ended(no trimming or detailed nail shaping). She used a pumice stone to smooth the skin, but not long enough to really do anything. The massage was way too light in touch almost to the point of annoying. Paint was applied a bit unevenly and tech did not wrap nails with the polish, which I detest because it doesn’t last as long without this step. The tech did have pleasant conversation with me after the initial pale comment, but all in all, I would not go here again or recommend it at least as far as pedicures go. Pedicure was $ 30 which is decent, but make sure to tell them if you want to add a tip on the card because there is no tip line after they run it through. Luckily I had some cash on me but will not be back.
