Peking Chinese Restaurant

I love Chinese food but this is worst I have ever ate. Yuck! We got the buffet food was old an barely warm. I wouldn’t think health dept would allow this. No way am I going back, total waste of Money! I told them food was old an luke warm they acted like it was no big deal. It also operates under a new name. The place was clean, unfortunately that is only positive thing I can say. We had been there maybe 6 min an was given our check.

I really have trouble writing a truly bad review, after only one bad experience. So, I’ve decided to write this one after three fairly bad experiences. Twice with buffet and once with carry out. Since the new owner (s) have taken over, the food has completely changed. It’s been obvious for a while that the inside needs a clean, fresh update. Yet, the food used to keep me coming back. Now, however, the food isn’t good enough to convince me to come back on its merit alone.
Food: 2 stars. I like the hot&sour soup, curry chicken, honey chicken, and lo mein fairly well. However, some of the other options, I thought, were barely edible. Including one of the worst bites I’ve had it a long time coming from a piece of beef in the Szechuan beef.
Staff: 4 stars, polite, fast, friendly.
Décor/​ambience: 2 stars. Décor needs refreshed but isn’t the worst I’ve seen by any stretch. The ambience was flat and uninspiring.
Price: 3 stars: about 10 bucks for lunch buffet with soft drink.
All-​in-​all, 3 tries, 3 strikes, 3 bad experiences. It’s possible I’ll go back for curry chicken and hot&sour soup carry out, but not likely anything beyond that.

Excellent curry chicken. Pretty good selection of buffet items. Buffet closes down at 3:30 p.m. except in Sundays it status open all day.

If this is the best Chinese in somerset, then Chinese food should not be consumed on somerset.
Went here for lunch buffet with the hospital employees I was training. Nasty little place with sticky tables and oily and sauce laden food.
