We found this place a few weeks ago and it has become our chinese restauart of choice, The wonton soup is delicious! Everything is fresh

My fortune cookie said I need to do random acts of kindness. So I decided to start here. I always order steamed chicken and broccoli and it’s delicious at August moon. The broccoli is cooked but crisp and fresh. It’s takeout don’t expect something that it isn’t. The place is clean you can see where they cook. The price is great and the food is fresh. Oh and they always get my order right unlike the place in Chester. The people are also very nice that work there!

We recently moved from Basking Ridge down to the Branchburg area. I was determined to find a really good Chinese restaurant and this place came pretty highly recommended. As an FYI, it’s in the same strip mall as Il Forno and right next to Willie McBride’s (for a point of reference). We’ve already been here a few times as it’s incredibly convenient for us to pick up food.
The food here is great. It’s much better than anything we were able to get in the Basking Ridge area. The egg rolls are great, the shrimp lo mein is really good and the Wonton soup has been really awesome. Wonton soup is one of my favorites and I must say August Moon really delivers. The dumplings in the soup taste so good.
I do have 2 minor gripes that prevent me from giving this place a 4 star rating. The first is that it can be incredibly difficult to get through to them on phone. I get a busy signal sometimes and I basically just have to keep calling back. The other issue is that they don’t have the sauces out for you to grab what you want and I don’t feel like they are liberal enough when you ask for sauce. I ask for hot sauce and they give me like 2 packets and then I ask for more and they only give 1 more. At that point, you feel a little awkward asking for more sauce. You get the impression they don’t really want to give you that much.
I’ll definitely continue to return here because the food is good. They’re also very quick; every time I call an order in it’s ready in the time they quoted which is always appreciated. The prices are also very much on the reasonable side. I think if they had a «help yourself» sauce area, I’d probably give this place 4 stars.

This place is awful. The food is below average and is reminiscent of bad food court chinese. Try it, you’ll see…

Got some takeout last week consisting of Chicken Fried Rice, Shrimp Chop Suey and Hot and Sour soup. Food was ready quickly and the service was not too bad considering that this is a Chinese restaurant.
Food was so average and ordinary that its almost not worth commenting on, so drab take out stuff is all that i will say!!!

Have lunch here at least once a week. Their hot and sour soup is the best I’ve ever had. Lunch menu satisfies everytime. Schezuan Shrimp satisfies.

I take out food from August Moon all of the time. The food is almost always excellent. I love their Pepper Steak with Onions and their WonTon soup. It is really a take-​out place so I wouldn’t recommend it for eat-​in, although I often see customers eating there. Parking is easy, too.

When I look for a good Chinese restaurant I look for a clean place that doesn’t skimp on ingredients. This place satisfies both those criteria.

I’m not a happy girl… just went to get my Chinese Take Out fix, and usually August Moon doesn’t disappoint, but this time it was so bad, I just dumped it in the garbage. Luckily it was only a lunch special, so only a $ 6 loss.
My number whatever (Garlic Beef) was so flavor-​less, and consisted only of green peppers, and some other slivered veggies, that they should be ashamed to call it a beef dish. The hot/​sour soup was so lack luster, that it could have been some other soup; certainly wasn’t hot or sour.
On the bright side, I have plenty of room for some East Coast Fresh Fish… hmmm where to go ???
