Beneath It All

I came here on a whim because I had walked by it a thousand times and just happened to be early for a class across the street. I’m so glad I did — the owner, Allison is phenomenal. She is a natural at making you feel comfortable and finding your perfect style and fit. The store is decorated nicely and they carry many of the same popular brands that I’ve seen in both Bloomingdales and anthropologie. The bonus of shopping here though is the expertise you get from Allison. She truly has a passion for what she does and it shows. This store is certainly worth a visit if you’re ready for an upgrade from Victoria’s Secret.

Finding a proper fitting bra for well endowed teen was an impossible task until we found this store and the owner Allison. She was incredibly patient and my daughter warmed to her quickly. We have returned and in a short time scored a strapless and regular bra as well as two great camisoles. She really knows her merchandise and the manufacturers that specialize in sizes you cannot find in regular stores. Smiles all around when we left!

Found Beneath it All by accident and now I have 3 new fabulous-​fitting bras! Allison, the owner, was so helpful and encouraging. No hard sell and I’ll definitely be back.

As a side note — 10 minutes before closing Alison was willing to wait for me to help fit me for a dress fitting I was having the following day! Not many people would care and she certainly did and made sure for weeks following that what I had was perfect for me! THANK YOU ALISON!!!

I first discovered this boutique after finding out that they carried The Little Bra Company bras. I made an appointment with the store owner Allison to get a proper fitting and try some bras on. This shop is so lovely. It’s located on Division street near some great restaurants and in downtown Somerville. It’s very classy, elegant, but not uppity. I felt totally at home with Allison. She made me feel very comfortable and reminded me of my love for lingerie! Allison is easy going and professional. She carries many lingerie brands; my favorite being Eberjey. So gorgeous! I tried on two basic bras from LBC and they fit my petite frame perfectly! I even bought a gorgeous night slip from Eberjey. It is so comfy and dressy at the same time! Love, love, love.
There’s something for everyone here! You can even create a wish list so your significant other can surprise you with something lacy. Hint hint! It’s important to shop local. Take a break from Victoria’s Secret and head over to this gem of a shop. You’ll have a new appreciation for lingerie!

This place was absolutely fantastic. I made an appointment online for a bra fitting, and the owner contacted me directly to confirm. After getting mis-​fit for bras numerous times at chain lingerie stores, I knew I wanted a professional to help me find the right fit. Allison was cheerful and helpful, and was there very much to help me look my best and not just get an easy sale. There were many expensive bras I tried on that she rejected because they didn’t fit correctly.
The store itself carries a lot of off-​sizes that most stores will never have – and in sexy, feminine, YOUNG styles! (Allison got the store from her great-​aunt, who catered more to an older clientele, and she was determined to bring new life to the store.) They also have lingerie sized by bra size, which is something I can rarely find. I did end up buying three bras from the store, at just a little more expensive than Victoria’s Secret bras, but these bras fit amazingly and I feel sexy and confident in them. I will definitely be coming back.

Great little shop; I visited for the first time today and had a great experience. The owner, Allison, helped me find the perfect undergarment ensemble that’s flattering, sexy, and fell within my budget (which I told her of while she helped me look). She also made me aware I’ve been wearing the wrong bra size for years. I have every intention of going back to build my (currently nonexistent) collection of lingerie and cute, feminine sleepwear. Allison is very personable and helpful, and her inventory is fantastic.
