This Park has an indoor ice skating rink, basketball courts, playground, and baseball diamond. Weather permitting, the place is packed after school until dusk. As for location, it is in one of the hottest neighborhoods in all of the Boston Metro Area, near all kinds of cool businesses like Artisan’s Asylum, Fringe, and Brooklyn Boulders Rock Gym. Best of all, the park has convenient access to the Red Line at Porter Square and soon(in 2015) access to the Green Line at Union Square. What more could you ask for in a park of this size? Easily the best small Urban Park in Somerville.

Nice little park, not bad for something in a fairly dense urban area. Not exactly insulated from the bustle, with the busy road on one side and the basketball courts on the other, but it’s a relatively relaxing green place to sit(once you find a spot without dog crap or broken glass). But every spring, the cherry blossoms bloom like fireworks, and then it’s picnic time. The playground is good, too. Not constantly overrun by kids, and the swings are nice and big.

Conway Park was a lovely little spot in which to eat some wings garnered at WOW Somerville. Ok, I admit, it was the closest place we could find to eat. We had the benefit of hearing some drunk/doped up guy verbally abuse his drunk/doped up girl. Way to stimulate the appetite.
