AVOID this restaurant. We ordered a pizza for pick-up, and when we walked into the store we saw one of the employees sneeze all over the counter, plates, and utensils, and then without washing her hands, began to handle the serving utensils and food. Yuk.

Pizza is good but only 3 stars as I ordered«A» slice and water and COST $ 8 because there one slice is actually two slices which wasn’t that hungry for two but had to pay as they already heated up and rung up on the register. The owner or manager very awkward in front of me knew I did not want two slices then asked me if I wanted a box to box up 2nd slice. I felt like saying, I asked for one slice and wanted my money back.

This has to be my favorite pizza place. They have so many kinds of pizza to choose from. I was there last night and one of the specials was shrimp scampi pizza. I don’t like shrimp, but that still sounded cool. I love the chicken ranch pizza. Its so yummy and the crust is really good. They have good arienchinis too. They also have salads and garlic knots. I have not tried either, but I would like too. Will definitely be back.

I guess if your in the area craving pizza, it’s good. But wouldn’t go out of my way getting it, little stingy on the cheese on my pepperoni pizza. 5.00 for 1 slice(¼ of a pie is 1 slice) not too bad.

Good pizza and all but i really wish they have gone all out on the toppings. The buffalo chicken needed a little more chicken. I also thought that the portions we’re great for the price! Overall it was good

Finallyyyy a good gluten free pizza in Boston!!! I’ve been looking for so long. The service was a little weird and the staff not very friendly but the GF pizza was so good I don’t even care. I’ll be going back.

Came here after work to get some quick food. The place is very nice and clean very spacious with plenty of seating inside and out. The slices are very big so 1 slice they cut into 2 pieces so very filling for one slice. They have different selections the basic to the various from all meat to shrimp scampi. Place is delicious and affordable for quick lunch.

It’s average pizza. It was good but didn’t blow me away. While moderately expensive for pizza, it’s still one of the cheaper options in Assembly Row. Had the Hawaiian slice and my parents had plain cheese and a sausage one. The«slice» is a huge and actually 2 slices that they split in half. The pizzas looked like they have been sitting for awhile but tasted alright after being warmed up. Small indoors but decent amount of outdoor seating which is nice in the summer.

The fair priced pizza is top notch, with awesome guys taking your order. I was taken back the first time I walked in. A small dinning area with 20 pizzas crammed into a glass case… Hmmm, one could say it’s pretty unorthodox. However I repeat, the pizza is awesome with delicious crust, sauce, and quality of toppings. Just choose what looks the best and they’ll reheat in the oven. Although the pizza is why I come back to this place, I wrote this review because I really liked the guys behind the counter. Three times now I’ve walked in as a complete tourist. Every time these guys have been super fast/friendly while serving me and many others. Because there are stupid tourists everywhere, some places in the north end aren’t so friendly. I feel these guys make a point to be respectful. Thank you Ernesto’s!

Popped in here before going to Paul for pastries to avoid buying six of them, as I don’t typically make wise decisions on an empty stomach. I saw that they had arancini and was sold. I’ve eaten a lot of them in my day, but this was the first time I’d ever seen it come in a tub of marinara sauce. Once I got over the initial weirdness, it was ok, though the fact that it was in sauce took away from one of my favorite aspects– the crispiness of the fried exterior. It still tasted nice and was filling, as you’d expect a fried ball of rice to be. My friend got pizza with spinach, and his was better. If I went back, I’d go for pizza.

We took our two year old daughter to the Legoland Discovery Center in Assembly Row on Memorial Day. I used the Unilocal app to see what was around and found this place. My husband used to work in the North End and told me that Ernesto’s was the place with the big pizza slices. So off to Ernesto we went. As I was walking toward the shop, I noticed the humongous slices of very Italian looking pizza. I was already happy! My husband got the Hawaiian, and I got the special. The pizza was delicious but was more on the bready side. I prefer thinner crust pizza. Overall, a great inexpensive lunch option in the area. I plan to come again and to bring my parents who also love pizza.

HAHA totally laughed when I saw a Unilocaler from New Haven claim he’s from an area with the best pizza in the nation. Hilarious. Anyway, so there’s a lot of hate here, but this establishment doesn’t deserve anything less than 3.5 stars. It’s certainly not Picco, but their pizza is still pretty dang enjoyable. I also thoroughly enjoyed the huge arancini, drenched in marinara. Absolutely filling & delicious. No complaints here. Pizza made with Boston’s delicious tap water is bound to be great & Ernesto’s is really tasty. Small place, best as an on the go kind of deal, staff is a mix of friendly & apathetic. Whatevs, just want me some pizza.

I never knew Ernesto’s is a pizza parlor from North End! I only knew Regina’s, although I think Ernesto’s pizza is better than Regina’s pizza! It’s affordable & it’s Good pizza! Meatlovers in the Best!

The price is good for the large slice you get(it’s like 2 – 3 slices in one). I love the bacon ranch chicken pizza and enjoyed the bbq chicken as well. I need to branch out and try more types, but when I see the bacon ranch chicken(or even think about it) my mouth starts watering and I know I have to follow my gut. I’ll eventually over do it and try other toppings. The sitting area is small but reasonable. The music has been pretty awesome every time I’ve gone in. Oldies are where it’s at.

I think I’ve finally found the best gluten-free pizza in the Boston metropolitan area. Assembly Row has slowly gone from Dark Horse to The Little Engine that Could(and Did!). This cute little pizzeria, or pizza shop, as Bostonians more regularly refer to these eateries, is a testament to that. I was in the area with a friend, to catch a movie at the AMC. She was dying to eat, and I was content not consuming anything, because I was used to never being able to eat anything. I spotted this little shop after all of the cute bars were filled to the brim, and I told my friend, «Look! There are seats.» She turned and said, «But don’t you want to look for something gluten-free?» I didn’t really care, so I went in… and as we sat, I read the magic words on the board: «GLUTENFREEPIZZA.» Late lunch or not, I had to try it. Claiming that any pizza in anywhere other than New York tastes anything other than«okay» is difficult for me, but I’m confined to a medically prescribed diet, and I don’t remember tasting anything remotely close to what I tasted tonight in… at least… a decade. I ordered the 10″ gluten-free cheese pizza, since I was taught — in my home city — that toppings are for people who expect pizza to taste bad. I set my sights high from the beginning; I set myself up to either be very impressed or sorely disappointed. Luckily for me, there was no disappointment tonight. The gluten free flour-base was, of course, very thin. The cheese was perfect — it was well-matched to its gluten-free flour base. It actually tasted like pizza. I often find that gluten-free pizza can taste like cardboard, or tomato sauce, or burnt cheese. None of these things were true for tonight’s meal. In fact, it was so perfect, that I was able to eat the entire 10″ pie by myself, in one sitting. I have never, ever, in my life, eaten that much pizza by myself. The slices were tiny, but I find that this is sometimes necessary with gluten-free pies, because the flour can be very fragile. I was able to fold my tiny slices without having them break — the cheese didn’t fall off, the base didn’t fall off. That seldom happens. Have I died and gone to heaven? Am I in Oz? Nope? I guess I’m just enjoying the things the rest of the world takes for granted(because I finally can).

Ernesto’s offers a solid A slice of pizza. Their sauce is right(tomatoey, not too sweet, nice tang), their cheese has a nice bite to it(I was surprised to read another Unilocaler’s comment that it lacked character), and the crust was crispy and smokey. My dining partner had a buffalo chicken slice and really enjoyed it, too. Definitely try this place! Tip: if you’re just looking to have a slice, then get the kid’s sized«junior» cheese slice which is actually one normal slice. Otherwise, you’re getting a ¼ of a pie!

My wife considers herself an expert on Ernesto’s, seeing as how she was once their upstairs tenant in the North End. Rent included heat, water, and pizza. Seriously, i have no idea why she ever left either. So when she says it’s the same, that should count for something. Outstanding, well-balanced pizza with a sweet and tangy sauce, excellent toppings, and a good crust. Nice, quarter-pie portions for a very reasonable price. Only downside is, it’s tiny, but I look forward to eating on a curb in the summer.

Overhyped. I find nothing particularly awesome about Ernestos. You are served a giant slice — literally a quarter of a pie. But it’s cut in half so it’s really two slices. The pies are pre-made and heated up on demand as you order. The toppings on the supreme slice($ 5.21) include green pepper, dried out pepperoni, wilted onions, a smattering of tasteless sausage. I maybe ruining a tradition for some folks but I think the whole quarter pizza as a slice is a marketing ploy that works very well but is no different than the giant fireworks scam where it’s buy one get one free but it’s really just double the price of buying a single one! Try it, maybe Ernesto’s will do more for you than it did for me.
