Paint Tile Etc

A complete and total hack. After a day and a half if a two week job he calls me to tell me he «broke his hip in an ‘altercation’ where he was pushed to the ground». Seriously? Dude, you’re like 50 years old, doing a job for me and you just called me and told me you got into a fight? If I had a dime for every time a contractor have me a line of bullsh! t I’d have lots of dimes. So. There’s that.
After he painted our entire second floor (2 coats) we had to tell him and mark off all the spots he didn’t caulk or spackle. He painted OVER at least 40+ nail holes and imperfections without filling them in. Painted over hardware. Painted OVER fixtures. What professional painter DOES that? Same thing downstairs. But we didn’t even bother asking him to fix it, I just wanted him OUT of my house. Don’t EVEN get me started on the moulding he did for us. Seriously — a TOTAL hack job. Pic show just some of the spots he missed and I filled in. On just the first floor.
Additionally, we found an empty bottle of vodka (the SUPER CHEAP stuff) in our bedroom closet and a half a joint in a kitchen cabinet after him and his ‘crew’ finished. Not that I don’t like to indulge, but we hadn’t moved in yet and that closet was EMPTY. Plus I don’t smoke joints, I prefer other methods.
Look — if you get a quote from a painter you assume it includes EVERYTHING (paint, spackle, caulk, hole & crack filling) especially if you discuss it before hand. Don’t even bother with this dude, you’re better off painting it yourself.
PS. Please read the other reviews and the profiles if the people who posted them very carefully. Businesses on Unilocal are known for posting ‘inside reviews’.
