You can’t be serious with that produce section. Most of the stuff looks Ultrafresh(which is also the name of my band) and limes are 20c a piece? Red bell peppers need a face lift, but hot damn — everything else is bright, shiny and new! WHAT?! Liters of Compal red plum, mango, guava, pear, tutti frutti nectars are all under $ 2, and there’s a selection of piri piri sauces half an aisle long? ¡Sensacional! I almost left the bare bones(ha!) meat department with pigs’ ears and an uncut sirloin the size of my thigh, but I didn’t — only because we walked there. Anything you can buy from a standard grocery or home goods store, expect CVS prices. But for specialty Portuguese and Brazilian spices, juices, baked treats and more, Seabra is a well-rounded market. Oh, and they sell soccer balls. Truth.

Looking forward to checking out this place more often. The vegetables are fresh, there is this very interesting(and very sweet) Brazilian cola, and the sausage /deli section is fascinating. You can get pork feet! Apparently they’ve cleaned up the place compared to previous tenants. Anything you’re missing, just go to the Family Dollar next door.

This medium-sized market is chock full of mostly brazilian products, with a little mexican and central american thrown in. The butcher in back is great(two words — blood sausage)! They carry a full range of pasta/spices/flours that you would need to make a whole range of brazilian specialties, and often have really good deals on bulk products that they advertise near the front of the store, usually a great bargain. The bakery has this amazing flat bread made with stone ground corn flour that is soooooo good. They have sweet potatoes, RIPE plantains, tomatillos and tons of really fresh herbs on the cheap. And its clean inside, unlike some other lating groceries in the area(looking at you hi-lo!)

Everything Ben L. says about this place is true and then some! I live across the street and it satisfies the majority of our grocery needs(except for fancy cheese, stonyfield farm milk, certain produce, and the kind of yogurt I want). Otherwise, the prices are right and they have guava juice(which I heart). Just fill in the blanks at Whole Foods or Market Basket down the street! And A+ for friendliness.

Wholly crap kids! So apparently you haven’t been there yet. Hey it’s isn’t my fault. Remember those awesome ribs from the cookout in the spring? Yep they were from here. That guarana soda and that orange soda were from here as well and they were super cheap. I even pick up some produce from here as well. Some of it isn’t quite as nice as the other supermarkets but it’s super cheap! It’s actually pretty awesome because if you look through the items you’ll find a lot of awesome stuff and some regular items at good prices. Oh and a bit of a tip, it’s fine to seem super american when you are getting rung up. This will eliminate any thoughts that they should talk to you in Portuguese and they will still be super friendly!
