This class has such great energy! Women of various ages(at age 23 I’m usually one of the youngest in the class) jumping, smiling, all having fun. Not only is it a great work out, but it’s also a great mood booster. I love going to this class because it’s a great start to the weekend. Street parking– just leave time to find it! Not too bad, I can usually find meter parking not too far from the studio.

Jess is an amazing Zumba instructor. She sets a good tone of fun with focus, and she’s very engaged with the class participants. I particularly like the arm work she incorporates into the choreography I’ve been doing Zumba for about two years and recently quit my gym in search of more personalized, locally-based Zumba and yoga classes, and I’m glad I did. Very lucky to have Jess in Union Square!

I am new to Zumba with Jess but so far, so good! Here are a few questions you should ask yourself if you are thinking about trying Zumba: Do you like fun, upbeat music? Do you enjoy being instructed by someone who truly has a passion for what she does? Do you like being surrounded by down to earth and genuinely friendly, happy people(I know this is rare around here but I swear they all seem to congregate at Zumba!)? Are you looking for an alternative to slogging away on the elliptical or treadmill while watching crappy TV at a boring gym? If you answered yes to any of these questions do yourself a favor and give Zumba w Jess a try! Come on, join the party! :)

I did not know much about Zumba, but decided to try this class since there was a special groupon offer and its in a convenient location for me. I now love it! This class has gotten my gym-hating, mostly-lazy butt moving on a regular basis. Jess is really fun. She will teach you the moves over time, you will have fun but most importantly you will also get a good, big sweat-inducing work out. The class is good for both novices and experts. I still suck at many of the dance steps but it really does not matter and in just 2 lessons or so I have already picked up many.

What is fun and also helps you burn up those excessive calories? Zumba with Jess! Gosh… If there was an option to give unlimited number of star ratings for Jess’s Zumba class, I would do that! Jess is full of energy in every class, and it rubs off on the rest of us. She is an amazing instructor and very personable. You get to learn so many different dance forms — Salsa, Merengue, Cumbia, Cha cha cha, the list goes on. For someone like me who loves to dance, and hates going through the typical Gym workout sessions, Zumba is THE perfect routine. You never get bored, and don’t even realize how the 1 hour of dancing went by. A great stress buster, too. Whatever your mood was before the class, I can bet that you will leave the class smiling. Love it, love it, love it! Thank you, Jess :)

I was slightly apprehensive to try Zumba especially since I may not be the most coordinated person on the planet, but my sister and friends who have taken Zumba before assured me I would be okay. I just went to one of the Saturday 11am classes and although I didn’t get all the moves down pat, I had a ton of fun and had a great workout! Jess is fun, encouraging and despite the mirrored room, she doesn’t call you out for messing up the moves. In fact, I felt better when she herself confused a step. She was really friendly too. I signed up for the class via Meetup and she recognized me when I walked in. I cannot compare this to any other Zumba classes because this was my first one, but the fact that there were so many regulars was a good sign. Also, I was nervous that other people would watch me and laugh every time I messed up a move, but you don’t really have time to watch anybody but yourself and Jess. I can’t wait to go back to another class! If you’re a beginner, Jess recommends either the Tuesday night or Saturday morning classes btw. And don’t fret if you are a man. There was a man in my class and he seemed to be having fun too! The only issue I had was finding the place and parking. But go through the door to the side of the building. It says Enterprise, but it’s the main door for all of the businesses at 26 New Street. As for parking, the lot is tiny, but I saw some people park on the street even though there were signs that said«Tow Zone.» I chose to park at the Danahy Park lot just in case and to get some extra walking in! :)

I can’t believe how fast 75 minutes goes by! Jess was recommended to me by a friend. Best recommendation ever… I in turn, told 4 of my friends. and now the studio in cambridge is getting packed! Her smile is encouragment enough to keep you trying harder. I love the diversity of the class, all shapes, sizes, ages, physical fitness. Its not just for ladies! There are men in the class too! Zumba with Jess is the best! I’ve taken several Zumba classes around Boston & suburbs and the class with Jess is by far my favorite. She has such great energy and spirit, it’s a great motivation. She has great routines that all levels can easily learn and be challenged by. She makes sure you get it and have a great time. It is so much fun shaking your tail feather with Jess. Her personality makes the hour fly right by, and you leave feeling good all over. — a blast! Highly recommend.

I have no rhythm or dancing ability whatsoever so I was pretty nervous to try this at first but I had heard it was a lot of fun and a great workout. I had no idea how much fun I could possibly have while«working out». The music is great, Jess is an amazing instructor… full of energy, encouragement and some awesome moves. If I could take this class every day and forgo my gym workouts I would do it in a heartbeat, and probably be in better shape for it. There is a great mix of people in the class, and its a really fun and encouraging environment that will keep you looking forward to class week after week.

Two of my girlfriends and I signed up for Jess via the Groupon coupon and before our first class we were nervous for what was in store for us… What was in store for us you ask? High energy, crazy fun, fantastic music, fun moves, laughter, smiles, whooping, sweating, bass, and the force that is Jess. Jess has a way of making sure we’re all catching on, even if it includes crazy spins and nervous twists. Her encouraging smile allows you to relax, even if you don’t get the steps the first time. I was hooked from the first time and each subsequent time it just keeps getting better! Rock on, Jess!

The most fun class you’d ever want to take. This is exercise? Well, yeah, you’ll be out of breath and definitely feel like you’ve worked out. But with the pumping music and the easy-to-follow dance moves, you’ll forget you’re there to work out. Great teacher, great class, great fun!

Training with Jess is one of the absolute best things that has ever happened to me. She has taught me to be fit and healthy in my everyday life which I think is an important lesson for us all. My sessions are a perfect combination of a challenging work out and female bonding.
