Something Gud offers DELICIOUS mixes of greens, fish so fresh it comes in practically still flopping around, fancy pants sauces and spices, creamy yogurt, chocolate milk that tastes like melted ice cream, and many other local delights. There is a newly minted $ 5 delivery fee, which isn’t a surprise since they haul lots of deliveries out by bike power or driving from Somerville to downtown. So, I know it might be lame if you started out on the free delivery track, but I wouldn’t let it deter me from getting such great stuff dropped off at my door. They are definitely still working out some kinks as a new business, but the chance to have a selection of stuff each week is great — especially if you want to cook your own, fresh meals but can’t always get to the grocery store(or are just lazy and make excuses, ahem, like me).

I got a Trial Box a few weeks ago, and it was awesome. I highly recommend! There were veggies, fish, bread, cheese, granola, and yogurt. It was fun not knowing what would be in the box, and then it was fun cooking with it! The fish was clearly just so fresh, and it was so delicious. They have a newsletter online that includes recommended recipes using the ingredients that they were in the box. I like that you can just decide when you want to get a box or not– it’s not like a normal CSA or something like that where you’re obligated for a few months. You can just choose when would be a convenient week for you. I will definitely be doing it again!

I am very impressed with the food, the service, everything! First the applause: The quality of the food is phenomenal. We have some great farmers in New England, and Something GUD seems to know how to find them. Their delivery system is affordable and high tech! The fact that you can receive a text with a interactive map showing you where your delivery is current driving from is awesome. It is like Über for your groceries. I know exactly when they are arriving at the door. The room for improvement: Ordering your food is either super simple(get a mystery box of whatever is in season for your preferences. They have Omnivore boxes, Vegetarian boxes, and *sadly* even Paleo boxes). Or ordering can be a bit of a chore. It is long list of items not broken into categories. So, finding what you want can a challenge. It would be nice if there were more options to buy seasonal veggies a la carte. Maybe in the future. I hope they continue to expand their selection and farms they source from. I would recommend this to anyone who cooks. I don’t even have to go to the grocery store now(seriously, maybe once a month at most)!

Yay! I’m a fan. We started using Something Gud when they launched last year, but stopped after a couple deliveries – not because they were bad at what they were doing, just because other things came up. This summer we were away from home a lot, and I was happy to remember I had a credit with SG. I placed an order to be delivered to my beau during a week I was away, ensuring that he would be well-fed. He was so happy with the Paleo box he received – lots of delicious, farm-fresh meats and produce. We do a lot of our shopping at the farmer’s market, and it’s so helpful to get a box from Something Gud every week with the staples we need to keep us going. There are so many options to choose from! We’ve had the starter box, the Grab N Go, the Paleo, and the Gluten-Free. We’ve also tried the a la carte ordering, and most recently we’ve been getting the seasonal veggie box. We’re never disappointed by what shows up at our doorstep, and more often than not we’re very pleasantly surprised. I’d recommend this to anyone who doesn’t want to buy everything they eat at a big box store but doesn’t have the time or energy to hit up the farmer’s market every week. Something Gud supports local producers, local businesses, and local tummies!

Something GUD is great! My weekly delivery on Monday frees up my evening and sets my week off to a healthy, locally sourced, delicious start! I hate how everything at the grocery store has a limp, pale color compared to the real thing. Something GUD provides fresh, local real food. I also really love the protein that comes with my delivery(think awesome yogurt, chicken, fish, lamb, etc.). Overall, I highly recommend people with a tight schedule and desire for real food check out SomethingGUD!

Something GUD is just that. Really, really, gud! I was sent a Something GUD box when I moved into my new condo. It was the perfect gift. We ate like kings(and we still are)! Here’s what was in it: Greens Potatoes Peppers Eggplant Carrots Blueberries Chicken Ground Beef Mozzarella Honey Yogurt Bread Granola Fresh Herb Pappardelle Here’s what I made: Pappardelle in a white wine butter sauce with mozzarella Pasta with tomato sauce and mozzarella Mozzarella garlic bread Bacon cheddar cheeseburgers Lemon Blueberry Yogurt Pound Cake Rpasted Chicken with Potatoes, Carrots and Onions I’m still eating the granola weeks later… and I made the pound cake 2 days ago with the last of the blueberries. Each ingredient was impeccable. Even the ingredients I wasn’t feeling so good about(ugh…ground beef) were miles above your average grocery store version. The beef made one of my favorite meals(I don’t love hamburgers, but I LOVED these). I tried to send a box to my friend’s in Braintree but they haven’t expanded that far yet. Hurry up! And their customer service is above and beyond. My account was set up with my friend’s card, and they made sure to delete that so I couldn’t order more things on her dime(too bad!). They climbed through the jungle that is my back yard to drop off the bag(my back yard is… difficult…) and each time I had a question I got a call from them. Fast, friendly… functional. Thanks Something GUD!
