Atmosphere & cashier 5 stars, but I’m writing this review to hopefully let management or someone know about how rude the barista was. She was not rude to me but was so outwardly rude and off-putting to the man in front of me that I had to say something. I walked in feeling pleasantly surprised and walked out not wanting to take my coffee from this woman. With so many other coffee places to go to, its worth it to find employees who love what they do and enjoy seeing customers. Hopefully just a bad day for her.

I’m sorry, I don’t even want to give them one star. It’s really hit or miss and it seems more miss then hit. It seems my coffee is always messed up, and I don’t order a difficult or even detailed drink. I really wish Dunks didn’t close in Davis square.

Eh, it’s ok I guess. I need my starbucks coffee daily so this place is a must since I work nearby. The place is big compared to other starbucks but they do not seem to have alot of varieties at the straw/sugar table. I mean what about napkins and flavored sprinkles? The others I go to have all those on the supply table.

Definitely my favorite Starbucks so far. Even if its usually crowded in there, its still cozy. There 4 armchairs next to a fireplace! And huge windows so you can watch all those people walking by!

Love this Starbucks. Great location near my house. They used to know me by name but the staff has had a major change-over recently. But when they knew my name it was a nice touch… Always quick and efficient. My drinks are always good!

It’s Starbucks, what do you expect? Loads of comfy seating at this location. It’s sizable enough where there is usually always a seat. It’s cool they offer cold brews now for just 50 cents or so more than their regular iced coffee. The staff members definitely are friendly and perky even in the early hours. I’ve gone loads of times, though, and it seems like there is always someone new working and I’m never remembered as a regular. I recommend heading across the street to Diesel if you want a local place, but this Starbucks definitely can meet your coffee needs.

The fireplace is broken and has been for years! Not sure why they won’t deal with this. It would be so much nicer if they would just fix it. Otherwise it’s a pretty good Starbucks, though as others have said, bathrooms could use more attention.

This is a great place to read, study or chat with friends if your Deaf. If you’re not Deaf it’s a great place to hear new music REALLYLOUD! Seriously … bring your Soundhound app and sample it all. If you come here to hear yourself think … not the best space unless you have some high end noise cancelation. Oh. Great baristas too!

This is normal Starbucks. There is a stove in this café. However, window side seats are cold. There are many seat and table, so we can have a seat at any time. Free WiFi.

This place is alwayssss crowded. Good luck trying to find a seat if you arrive with anyone else. I wish they had more small tables, but their setup fits a lot of people. Their bathrooms are kinda grimy and require a passcode. Still, I’ve always had a decent experience studying here. Their music is on point! Especially their holiday music :) Also, the cashier yesterday was one of the nicest I’ve encountered. And they even have a fireplace!

Don’t get me started on how annoyed I am by this Starbucks, but I’ll start with the positive, since the review won’t end well. Pros: There are a gazillion seats here. I do speak in hyperbole, but you’re pretty much guaranteed to have a seat for your tuchus any time of day. The baristas are familiar with regular customers– I was one for a while. And they’ll always prepare drinks, even if they seem relatively complicated. Cons: Uhhh, isn’t Somerville supposed to be friendly? Well, then why do some of the meanest baristas work at this location? There are also some very nice, very friendly ones, but the mean ones deny you basic things, such as flat lids for a drink that doesn’t need a dome lid(even when you see flat lids right in front of you). or straws for a venti drink.

What I like, the large wooden table… it’s a great workspace, just what I was looking for. And I have spent many hours there. The coffee is Starbucks coffee, no surprise there… if you need a shot of some legal liquid drug, they got it. They also have a good amount of seating including big comfy chairs, regular tables, and window seating. What I don’t like, the staff on the weekend are always very rude. I don’t know why but I walk up and the dude does not even greet me in a decent manner… he just says«yup?» which seems to translate as tell me what the f you want and then go away. He’s done this to me more than once… every time he is rude(this is before I say anything but hi). Last time, he made me wait for several minutes(over 5 min) before serving me and while he chatted with a colleague. The guy behind me in line started getting very impatient. He was very polite to the old white lady in front of me though and spent a long time making sure he got her order right. Note that my general experience with Starbucks staff at other locations is that they are very friendly so that just made this guy’s behavior stand out even more. What else I don’t like, as another review or two mentioned, this location is very over air-conditioned. So much so that I have to remember to bring a winter sweater every time I spend the day working there, even though it’s the middle of the summer. So, great workspace… frigid customer service for some of us and frigid air too.

When it comes to Starbucks, you look for those pieces that differentiate one from the rest. The Davis Square Starbucks is able to do that — many places to sit(I have never had to leave because I couldn’t find a place to put down my laptop), outdoor seating, and a fireplace. You can’t really go wrong there. Wifi has gotten better since they switched to Google’s service, but it will still be slow during peak times. If you need fast internet, you would be wise to bring your own connection. Everyone who works there is friendly — there were nothing but smiles when I spilled my latte all over the table and floor. Starbucks is a solid place to go — you know what to expect, that you will be able to find a seat, and that you can enjoy whatever time you spend there. It’s a no-risk choice.

They’ve changed the interior a lot. There is a ton of seating, a fireplace, bar benches at the windows, and a large wooden table in the middle. Although they have a ton of seating, it’s usually packed full. I’ve been here more than a handful of times, and half the time they are friendly, half type time they’ve been rude. There was one incident where a cashier gave me a bad attitude when I had went to the front just to ask if something was in stock because I didn’t want to wait in the line if it wasn’t. It also takes a long time to get your order since it’s so busy.

My favorite SBUX. Fireplace, window seats, stuffed chairs, table seats. Put yer feet up, relax, kick back, enjoy. Sorry SBUX, I’m taking down a star for unreliable Wifi service. I had to switch to my own carrier’s service to stay connected to the ‘net.

Spacious seating, *available* seating, reggae music, a central fireplace and crazy futuristic phone powering stations — I think I’m in love. Further props: The barista didn’t ask my name, therefore he couldn’t butcher it on my Tall cinnamon latte. He also asked if I wanted whipped cream(no) and humored me when I inquired about S$‘s newest, most hilarious flavor, caramel flan — to the point of handing over a free coffee card so I could try it without risking $ 4 of my hard-earned pocket money on a whim. Did I mention Bob Marley is crooning overhead? Butterflies.

Although Diesel Café is my favorite café in the entire world, I still frequent this Starbucks 4:1 over Diesel. Yes, I hate myself. However, when I work, I need Wi-fi, convenient outlet locations and in the summer, air conditioning. With regards to A/C, this Starbucks is often tooo cold so I always bring a jacket and everything’s fine. The restroom’s also way cleaner and nicer than the bulletproof-prison-issue bathroom at diesel. The staff is also generally pretty nice to me. Nobody comes to Starbucks for the quality of their brewed coffee or espresso but I sure love myself a refresher or frappuccino. So, this is me, revealing what a prissy baby I am but sometimes, I just want to get my work done in a comfortable environment with Wi-fi.

What I got: Salted caramel mocha with soy milk… eh. next time i should just stick to my usual seasonal: pumpkin spice latte with soy milk… this is what I get for venturing out. But, hey, I would’ve never known I didn’t like until I actually tried it, right? Now, I can knock it. I mean it was flavorful, just too coffee ish tasting for me, I like the pumpkin spice bc at least the flavor is more pumpkin and the coffee acts as a carrier to deliver its flavor. With the salted caramel mocha, I felt like it tasted like a semi-salty coffee with just a hint of chocolate. not my cup of joe preference. Then again, I don’t drink coffee that much. it was just really cold out! lol Service– I was not offered a receipt although the cashiers had asked every one else! blah. I was using a gift card, too… So, I, of all people, would like one since I’d need to find out how much I have left on it. They were pretty busy, line was getting long. I didn’t have to wait too long for my drink, which is always great. I’ll come back here, it’s Starbucks, they’re pretty consistent and. I’ll need a cup to warm me up, I’m sure!
