This place, believe it or not, is BOBDYLANAPPROVED! For all of you who like discovering used and interesting things, the Three Geese in Flight bookstore is literature consignment shop for everything celtic, irish, European and fairytale. Basically this place would have made my college mythology term paper ten times more acceptable than it actually was. It’s about two blocks over from Porter Square and you can shop online if you don’t want to get über lost like I did. The coolest conversation of the day was with the owner, Sam, when he told me about a time when Bob Dylan’s wife came into his store(then in New York) and bought a bunch of books for Bob, including one Sam himself picked out, and telling him that Bob loved this store“ Take that and shove it in your non-fat grande vanilla latte, Barnes and Noble!

This bookstore, apparently until recently located in Kingston, New York, focuses predominantly on British/Celtic history and mythology, especially Arthurian legend. They have a smattering of «general-interest» books as well. Many of their Located on Elm St. very near the Porter Square Shopping Center, it’s worth a trip just to see so many books about Arthur, Merlin, etc. although you probably won’t buy anything unless you have a strong interest in the subject.
