***Part of our Cambridge(Iced) Coffee Crawl 2015*** For our annual coffee crawl this year, my wife and I are biking around Cambridge, MA and trying to determine the best place for iced coffee. We are reviewing based on for categories: taste, coffee/ice ratio, atmosphere, and customer service. Triangle Coffee Wish I could give this place a better review, but it’s hard to review a place when it’s closed. We showed up around 3 on a Saturday(Their hours online said 10 – 4) but no luck. No coffee to be found… We did find a sheet with a clipboard confirming the 10 – 4 hours, but that’s it. I was excited to have Blue Bottle coffee as I’m a big fan and you don’t usually see it outside NY. The ambience was cool… Ping pong table and comfy chairs and benches overlooking the sweet climbing gym at Brooklyn Boulders, but it was not to be. Maybe we’ll make it back another year as part of another crawl.

Yum yum yum. The Triangle lattes are AMAZING! This cute little coffee stand is conveniently located between Aeronaut Brewing Company and Artisan’s Asylum within Brooklyn Boulders Somerville. If I hadn’t heard about it from a friend, I would never have thought to enter a rock climbing gym for a cup of coffee. I am so glad I found it!!! Definitely hidden. Once you enter the reception area of the gym, walk past the reception desk and keep left. Barista Annie is super friendly. My friends love their iced chicory NOLA coffee.

So while I was in the area visiting a friend, I needed a place to work/drink copious amounts of coffee while she was at a 3 hr interview. I found Triangle coffee on Unilocal and of course had to check it out because it was connected to a climbing gym. What could be more perfect! Finding the gym took a couple mins since you have to get out of the car and go to the right to find the door. The coffee shop is not in the gym, you just walk by the front desk and all the bikes to go to the big room with a glass wall over looking the bouldering and climbing area. There is plenty of tables, chairs and two decent(and clean) couches. The place has a very relaxed vibe and climbers were walking through to an upper area. Also, I had no trouble with the wifi. I was running a couple programs, editing webpages, and uploading videos to a server. I got two cappuccinos while I was there and they were both excellent. The barista was very nice and was able to make the second drink nice and dry. Definitely recommend this place if you want an excellent drink, a place to work, or just a place to hang out and admire climbers.

Words cannot, and I really do mean CANNOT express how amazing this coffee is. My GF and I went to Triangle after punching«coffee» into Unilocal while driving through Porter Square. It took us a while to find it… because it is IN a rock climbing studio.(are they called studios? gyms? boxes?) We walked past the reception desk and straight the small cart. There was one man there. This did not seem to be what we were looking for. But it was. I miss it. Me need more. You have GOT to check it out.

You gotta find this place and stop by. Located inside Brooklyn Boulders in Somerville, it has what might tbe the greatest cold coffee drink i have ever had. Owner Ottavio calls it the NOLA cold brew… it was awesome… smooth, lush, rich and delicious. A healthy caffeine kick kept me alive for a road trip up to Maine. After i finished it, i spent the next 2 hours slurping on the ice cubes hoping to extract more coffee! Go…this place is cool, and all of the employees are firnedly and helpful!

Blue bottle coffee here! The café is in Brooklyn Boulders, and there isn’t alot of seating, but its cosy, the coffee’s great, and staff friendly. A nice place to chill on a lazy Saturday afternoon.

THE New Orleans* cold brew. And I don’t even like coffee! We’re talking about a cart in a rock gym, so if you’re expecting frills, there ain’t none. But, for java brewed with passion, devoid of unwanted burn and rancid bitterness, get Triangle all up in your mug. Seriously, order an espresso and watch the number of steps they take to make it with scientific precision. Art meets bean meets your face. * What makes it NOLA? It’s a coffee/chicory blend. Ohnotheydidnt.** ** Theydid.

Triangle Coffee is a true hidden gem — you likely wouldn’t find it unless you happened to be in Brooklyn Boulders, but once you do, you can’t imagine going anywhere else. They serve delicious Blue Bottle Coffee, with comfortable seating, a great view of the climbing gym, and a ping pong table! I would bring my laptop and do work in there, though the BKB wifi can be spotty sometimes. My girlfriend had a New Orleans iced coffee, which was nifty! I had never heard of it before, but it was a nice change-up to a regular iced coffee.

Amazing drinks and friendly baristas! They obviously care about great coffee without any of the snooty vibe. The espresso is consistently great and my current favorite is the New Orleans style cold-brew. It’s the perfect way to start a Saturday morning at Brooklyn Boulders. Even the basic drip coffee is a work of art with carefully weighed grounds and a sleek Chemex setup. The whole stand just looks really nice, too. Hope to see more locations around Somerville/Cambridge soon.

Blue Bottle is a long overdue gift to Somerville! A jolt of quality-caffeinated verve makes climbing at Brooklyn Boulders even more delicious an activity. Baristas Annie and Ottavio are never without a smile and make the best(Califia) almond milk lattes in town. Wholeheartedly recommend these treasure cups of coffee!

I stopped by Triangle Coffee today on my way to work and ordered a cappuccino, and my friend ordered a pour over. First, I can say without exaggerating that the cappuccino was one of the best I’ve ever had — the milk was perfectly foamy and creamy, and the coffee itself was amazingly rich and deeply flavored. They used milk sourced from a farm in the Berkshires, and coffee sources from three farms in Ethiopia and Uganda. You can really taste the quality and attention to detail. The pour over was a testament to this — it’s a simpler drink that benefits so much from the ridiculously good beans. Beyond the coffee itself, which is reason enough to visit, the atmosphere is relaxed and cool with a big glass wall through which you can see rock climbers in the Brooklyn Boulders gym — like a cathedral of colors, interesting angles, and good health. Five stars, would recommend to anyone who loves a good cup of coffee!

I can honestly say one of the best shots of expresso I have ever had: thick but smooth body, frothy crema and surprisingly and naturally sweet! This small coffee cart, tucked in to the event room/shared workspace at Brooklyn Boulders Somerville, is currently limited in their offerings, but everything I’ve has been full value. From their strong cold brew, to the latte I had today, they take their time and make your drink with care and love, as if they were making it to impress their grandma.(yup my latte actually had a little love in It today, a little heart). Incredibly convenient for all the people working and working around Dane/Park St, but even well worth coming by and sticking your head in specifically just for their liquid, high energy treats!
