Things to order: Craft cocktails! I had the starlight cocktail-delicious. All of their signature cocktails were interesting and good. CORNBREAD MAC&CHEESE w/bacon and bleu FRIEDCHICKEN Skip the gnocchi. Would be good but WAY too salty. Overpriced and disappointing. The Starlight Dog is overrated. Save your cravings for another time: This place does comfort food WELL. Skip the others. Tator tots were different and decent. Did I say CORNBREAD? Hands down, best thing!

I have nothing but great things to say about Trina’s. The staff rocks, the food is amazing, and they always have some great tunes going. We lived in the neighborhood for a long time, and were in once a week at least! Even after we moved, we still go back all the time. The tots and mac n’ cheese are staples, but Tainah and her ever changing #supersecretnotsosecret cocktails keep you coming back. The people here are the best(Rhian and Rosa are literally THE.BEST.) and you won’t find a better crew to welcome you in Inman. Nothing but love. We’ll always be back.

Almost everything(minus one cocktail) was profoundly on point. Between two of us, we enjoyed several cocktails, plate-licking good beer cheese mussels, a fabulous hot dog, good fried chicken(my wife loved it, I think it needs spice), and damn fine pie. All arrived quickly and were well executed. The cocktails work well with the food and are generously proportioned, plus priced at a quite reasonable $ 10 given the locale. Also, super child friendly despite being primarily a bar. We’ll be back on a future date night.

Some of the best food and service I’ve ever had. It looks crappy on the outside but it’s super nice and cozy inside! Great staff. Amazing food.

This brunch is TOPNOTCH. One of the best in the city hands down… However, it’s only available on Mondays, and the wait can be extensive. Suggestion: put you me name in, grab drink at a nearby bar, then come back. Totally worth the wait!

I know everybody LOVES Trina’s and I was excited to try it, but it was just a-ok for me. Trina’s serves slightly upscale pub food — mac n cheese, fried chicken, hamburgers, tater tots, etc. Everything tasted good but it was so heavy. Maybe it’s because I’m from the south and these foods are pretty standard, but I just didn’t think it was anything super special. I wouldn’t come here to eat again, but I’d definitely come back for drinks — they had a fun cocktail menu and served some local beers.

Wow! This place is doing a lot of things right! This is a perfect case of «don’t judge a book by its cover». When you arrive you will see an entrance to what looks like a shady biker bar or something. Once you enter, it’s hard not to be shocked at how cool and comfortable it is inside. Very hip, very cool atmosphere. Random and wonderful music, cartoons playing on the TV at the bar, and it’s busy from open to close. The service is amazing! No drink ever empty, eye contact and smiles all around. Food, I wasn’t super hungry so I went with a basic griddled bagel with herb cream cheese. Most places would just toast a bagel and give you some prepackaged cream cheese. Not here! Delicious soft and slightly crispy, buttery and fresh. The herb cream cheese had a lot going on, and I was loving all of it. I had the«Quickie» cocktail, which is a mixologists version of an adult nesquik, and it was delicious(and dangerous) I’ll be back, again and again. This is the type of place I love!

Off on a Monday and craving some brunch? Look no further! Just make sure you’re not hungover because the music’s pretty loud. They were blaring 90’s and I won’t lie I loved every moment of it. It’s really an unpretentious spot with great food. I tried the homemade pop tart as an app. Don’t think twice about it. ORDERIT. Amazing. For my entrée, I opted for the chicken biscuit. Holy crap. My mouth is watering just thinking about it. I will definitely be back because I love everything about this place.

I was super excited to try Trina’s after being in Diners, Drive-Ins and Dives. From the outside, it looks like a no-name dive bar. Inside the atmosphere is super dark with a retro feel. We ordered the tater tots that came with a really creamy ranch type sauce. I ordered the fried chicken and waffles. I’ve been searching for high quality chicken and waffles since my last trip down south-they were out of this world! Came with a red pepper syrup that was super spicy but great for dipping. My boyfriend ordered the Mac and Cheese and we both agreed it was hands down the best we’ve ever had. Creamy with a buttery cracker crumb topping. Super filling! The only reason I’m giving 4 stars instead of 5 is because for me, with the dim lighting it was really hard to see my food, so cutting around the chicken bones was a challenge. I think the dim lighting works to a degree but made it a little tricky to eat.

This place rocks. From the second we walked in, the bartender from a distance made sure to loudly welcome us with a smile. It’s a dark, 50’s-ish/dive theme, with a cool bar and plenty of booths for sit-down service. Waitress was beyond friendly, and first thing I noticed on the menu was how the prices were… very reasonable. Don’t wanna say«cheap», because I don’t want to paint a bad picture on the food. We had hot dogs, sausage, wings, and onion strings. Get the onion strings… good stuff. Nothing(that we got) is fancy or gourmet, just good ol’ fashioned comfort food,’ and delicious. Everything was really good, including the beer selection. They have a good mix of «craft» and cheapo beer. I had both. Waking out, bartender gave us a loud friendly farewell. Will definitely come back.

Yea so tried here for the first time the other night and I have to say… YUMMM! Fried chicken and waffles were superb and the mac & cheese with bacon was delicious. The tater tots… ohhhh the tater tots! I was in a delightful bliss. Somewhere between real life and a magical dream of unicorns. They are so good, I cant believe they actually exist! Oh wait, unicorns aren’t real?

I’ve been meaning to write a glowing review of this place for the last four years. Everything from the rotating cocktails to the greasy, chic diner food will keep you coming back to this neighborhood gem. You walk into Trina’s and want to judge it for its overly hipster/rockabilly vibes, but quit being so judgey and chat up the very nice staff and eat a dog of the day. You won’t be disappointed! And, don’t forget about the pie! Trina’s dishes out some mean daily pies that you won’t want to miss.

Another Guy Fieri spot. It feels like I’m following him around Boston, but there’s only so many spots to try, so we’ll just say I have great taste. Anyway, this restaurant/bar has a slightly divey feel to it. It’s not dirty, nor grimey as some dives are, but it’s just not overly decorated and there isn’t much atmosphere. The drink menu is extensive and fairly priced at $ 10 a pop for their signature drinks, which is refreshing compared to a place like Deep Ellum. The flavors aren’t as niche, but they’re equally as creative. I got something with coconut cream and highly recommend it. I forget what it was called, but it resembled a Pina Colada. As far as the food menu goes, I expected it to be home style comfort food with a slight spin. I was more or less right. They had Mac N Cheese, hot dogs, burgers, chickens and waffles, and a few other dishes. I got the turkey burger. On a scale from 1 – 10, I would rate the overall flavor a 5. The meat was flavorless, but was redeemed by melted brie paired with granny Smith apples. The bread was your average run of the mill white bread rolls, but I think that was part of the meals allure. It maintained its ‘slightly better’ home cooked feel. Price was about $ 11 and I did not feel robbed by any means. Also to note, it came with a macaroni salad for a side which was nothing to write home about. You’ve had it before at family gatherings. It tasted like the kind you pick up from the supermarket. Not bad, not great. My friends got the Mac n cheese. THAT looked good. I’m a stickler for Mac n cheese. It’s so simple to make, that I can never justify spending money on it at a restaurant. If not for that reason, but for the portion size. Well, here it was a generous portion AND was smothered in Ritz breadcrumbs. Now, I’ve made it like that before, but that’s a first for a restaurant that n my experience. Not sure how much it cost, but I will be trying that next time!

Trina’s can do no wrong. Everything they have is hand-crafted by angels in the back and brought out by your server, who is sure to make you feel like you’re the most important person in the restaurant. The cocktails are the best I’ve had in the area. The food is among the best I’ve had in the area. The atmosphere is dark and intimate at night, and bustly and busy during the day(especially Sunday, which Trina’s has kindly opened up to grace us with their heavenly brunch menu). What should you order? For brunch, try the sloppy joe omelet. For dinner, try the lobster tacos. For drinks, try any number of reasonably-priced beers, or order their chocolate milk White Russian cocktail, which has a kick of chartreuse(highly recommended). The lagniappe of your Trina’s experience will be the service you receive. Far and away the best service I’ve had in recent memory every time I go. Seriously, stop reading this review and go!

I like to call this place my nicer neighborhood bar. I come here often enough and get the gravy fries every time. They are a good size and really filling! They also have a hot dog of the day, which I always love to ask about. They change up the hot dog topping up often and experiment with new flavors here. Sometimes I am adventurous and order it .The bar staff is super polite and very welcoming even when I am at the bar on my own grabbing a quick dinner. The cocktails are simple, and made well. The beer selection is pretty standard for the area.

Such a good local spot. The menu is so fun!!! Recently, one of the specials was brisket tacos– which though I did not try, sounded amazing. The mac and cheese is a standout– they scatter the top with ritz crackers(which tends to be a theme in their other menu options as well) which is so yummy. I’ve tried doing it at home and it doesn’t work as well though. The scallops are a great choice if you’re not too hungry. And can’t go wrong with the hot dogs and hamburger sliders. Some tips: it’s a small restaurant so it’s not good for groups. Also I’m really excited because they are starting to do brunch on Sundays now(they used to only do it on Monday, so I’ve never gotten to try it)

The Monday industry brunch was just as advertised/reviewed…interesting food, great drinks, lively atmosphere. I arrived right when the place opened, in order to snag one of the tiny tables in the small dining room. The outside façade was as described… looks like a dive bar and probably hasn’t changed from when it first opened. Street parking only… be sure to refill your meter! I ordered the breakfast pizza, a homemade pop tart of pumpkin chocolate chip w/a healthy drowning of liquid icing, and for my adult brunch beverage, the Adirondack with a large piece of chocolate sea salt covered bacon garnish. All were tasty, and felt deliciously decadent, especially the chocolate covered bacon. Service was excellent… they seemed genuinely excited in my order choices, like I’m the first one to try any of their signature dishes and drinks.

Great casual place to stop by for a good cocktail and interesting pub style food. Me and the man friend shared the shaddock, a classic cocktail made with Genever, St. Elder, aperol, and lemon. Well executed and genever is always makes for a lovely sip. The food is nicely done although a bit on the decadent side for me. The hot dog was topped with fries and coleslaw and lots of mayo-based sauce and it was a bit overkill for me. But for 5 bucks, it makes a good affordable snack in the neighborhood. Chicken and waffle, which is one of their signature dishes did not disappoint. The portions are pretty large. Lots of tv screens to watch any sports games is a plus!

My partner and I ate here the night of the NFC/AFC championship games. The restaurant had tv’s set up, which I don’t think is normal for them. We shared a Bols genever-based cocktail called, «The Shaddock.» For food, we ordered the Trina’s starlite-style dog and the Fried Chicken and Buttermilk Waffles with hot pepper syrup. The star for us was the cocktail, it was a thing of beauty! The Fried chicken and waffles lived up to the hype and the starlite-style dog, while messy, was well executed and flavorful – though small-ish. Trina’s is now my new favorite watering hole. I can’t wait to return with my lady and try their other cocktails.
