Thanksgiving Day 2015: As an update to my post below, just got my first bill after working with FIOS executive level service for several more hours last month. This month the issue was supposed to be resolved. Instead of removing the erroneous recurring monthly equipment rental, now they have added another recurring $ 12 monthly charge. So after trying to resolve this since may, now Verizons top customer service teams have managed to double my problem instead of resolving it. Unbelievable. I have wasted over a thousand dollars worth of my time now, with no resolution in sight… The customer service nightmare: Verizon fios has great technology, but the customer service follow up is the worst I’ve ever experienced. My DVR was defective several months ago, and I was directed to a customer service rep in The Phillipines. Instead of replacing the defective DVR, she charged me for a second equipment rental. I’ve been trying to resolve ever since for months(they don’t have email, only telephone service). 8 calls and 3 managers later, later I’m still being billed. Always promises of a call back to confirm resolution, but not a single call back. Verizon service is a terrible rabbit hole that wastes hours and hours of your time with no accountability for resolution. The Verizon service reps see the activity that’s happened on my account, but no one cares. Avoid Verizon FIOS unless you have dozens of hours to waste on the simplest customer service issues.

This is the worst service ever. Beware of their promotions, too! They claim you will receive a $ 200 certificate toward a tablet. What they DON’T tell you is you also have to sign up for two years of wireless service with them to get it! I’ve been with T-Mobile for 12 years. Why in the world would I pay for two wireless companies??? The FIOS television is horrible. Their ‘search’ is terrible, their method of recording is cumbersome and usually doesn’t work, and there’s usually a white border on movies that are recorded. «E!» is not included on the regular lineup and even with pay channels, I don’t get«E!». I had to pay extra for Fox Sports West so I can watch the local Angel games. Internet is slow as molasses and I get viruses constantly. No one can hear me or understand me over their phone line. Customer service is the worst I have ever seen. It takes half an hour to find a human being and then they don’t do anything. If you expect Verizon to ever come back to your house for help… forget it! Never going to happen. I just moved to California from the east coast and I can tell you, the minute AT&T Uverse is available here I’m going to switch back! This service with Verizon is horrible!!!

Worst customer service period. After leaving the military from SoCal, I was being transferred to the VA in NorCal. I asked about transferring my services and was told they don’t offer FiOS in NorCal. Because I was under contract, I had to pay early termination fees of over $ 200. If they don’t offer services in the same state, why should I pay a termination fee? It’s not like I was just trying to get rid of their service. I will NEVER have Verizon again.

They punched a hole in my sewer line during the install and I had to fight with them for six months before they would pay for it. Customer service is non existent. Had a problem ordering a few different fights on PPV and after a tech came out and multiple calls they couldn’t fix it. I finally figured out it was the box and told them to give me a new one. They say it wasn’t the box and I told them send one anyway, and that fixed it. Beware.
