Really good, we were taking a ride. Don’t believe the open-​sign being off, walk up and enjoy.

Im only giving this a 2 star rating because the staff was so nice and I enjoyed the atmosphere… the food… ugh no. The wine was good. My friend and I shared a salad and a vegetarian pasta dish. It was without flavor, no presentation and simply tasted bland. I couldn’t taste a single spice or even salt. I would only go back here if I had no other choice and in Senoita, there isn’t much choice and for that I’m thankful I don’t live there. NO, I don’t think I’d go back except to have a wine, but then again how many times in my life will I find myself in Senoita?

this place honestly surprised me! 1) it’s nearly the only place to eat in Sonoita. and 2) «café» makes me think of greasy spoons where I’d get a fabulous hashbrown. But their menu was so much more sophisticated than that! The special was a lamb burger the day we went. and they were very willing to help create burgers for us that pulled together a few of the differing options on the menu into one, which is nice. I got the green chili burger, and it was cooked to a medium rare just like I asked. the fries were amazing — hot, crispy, and plentiful. We got a nice bottle of local wine to enjoy with the burgers.
and as a really nice special touch, someone told them it was my birthday so they gave us one of their desserts for free. so nice! we got their pistachio and butterscotch brownie sundae — wow! So tasty! between the 4 of us we licked that thing clean!
great service too! the waitstaff was really friendly, quick to help, and when we had a small issue with one of the orders being inaccurate, they quickly fixed it in a very nice way. we even bonded over acting like little kids when it started snowing and all ran outside to take pictures :-)

What a great find. They had been so busy that they were running out of certain dishes. Our bad for getting there late, right?! But a sign of good things to come. If you are in the area, make it a point to visit. Food was great. Good wine list. Incredible staff. Just go.

The food here is excellent. Its worth driving out of the way for. The APE burgers are never disappointing. Great food combined with the best staff makes for a wonderful experience. I will be visiting again.

Stopped in here just after they opened on recommendation from a friend. I went for the Chipotle Burger. The Burger was very good — juicy, flavorful and quite tasty. Along with the burger I went with the home made onion rings. These were very good as well. Everyone else in the group really enjoyed their burgers and southwest tuna melt. They had a nice selection of pies and a brownie. We decided it was time to go since one in our group needed to get back to Tucson.
Service was a little slow due to being down a member of the wait staff, but the food came out quickly. They offer soda in cans and it looks like they have a selection of local wines from the surrounding vineyards. Restroom was small but clean.

I have eaten here well over a hundred times over the years. All I can say is the food is excellent. Never once have I had a bad meal. I have had APE burgers that weren’t my cup of tea, but the quality is unmatched. My one complaint is that burgers at most other restaurants just taste boring and unsatisfying. The bar has been set unreasonably high. Damn you Chef Adam, Damn you too heck!

Love this place! Every time I eat here, it’s great! Reasonable prices, interesting menu and daily specials. Good beer and wine selection too. The desserts are all homemade too!
Great views of the mountains and grasslands. Patio dining also available. The staff is super friendly as well.

Way out in Sonoita, who knew they could cook. Had the loaded onion burger…****

Absolutely fabulous dinner. On my sons advice I had the burger, which was incredible advice. My parents live here and we went to dinner tonight with the baby. She had the chicken strips and french fries and three of us had burgers and one had fish and chips. All were wonderful and the service is always top notch.

I am completely overriding my entire review of The Café and adding a star because of how great Adam’s business model is turning out to be. I admit, I was not 100% impressed with this place because of the food and some of the service, but it also turns out there was a little bit of an issue with my memory and interpretation of that night. Just goes to show you how important it is to not only communicate directly with the restaurant but also write your review in a timely manner. So, shame on me and I am at 100% fault.
That being said, I have been in communication with the restaurant directly and I have to say the level of professionalism and care for their passion is amazing!
I started with a salad and a tomato soup. The tomato soup was to die for and we literally licked that bowl clean. I had the chicken marsala for dinner and this was where I had issues with the food. I don’t even want to tell you them anymore because I feel ashamed of not speaking with someone before exiting the restaurant.
From here on out, let me just focus on how great Adam is and the people he has working with him. I cannot wait to go back and give this place a second try because I now have even more respect for a small business owner trying to do his own thing in his own way and have a staff that is just as excited about everything as he is.
I hope everyone takes my falter as an education point and really thinks about the backgrounds of these small businesses and what drives them and really thinks twice about doing what I did.
I cannot wait to go back and try the food again and maybe meet more of the staff.

I selected the surprise burger, the menu claimed that no two burgers where the same and the chef would create something special. After telling the waiter that I wanted a party to my mouth. I got a burger that represented who I was. It was like the chef had known me all my life and made the perfect burger: kalmata olives, cooked spinach, caramelized onions, and hearts of artichokes. Spectacular! I drove 1.15 hours from Tuscon and it was worth it!

Nice sceneries out window while waiting for meal. Cheeseburgers were delicious and gluten free bread/​buns are available, as well as dedicated fryer for French fries. We got lucky and arrived during happy hour. 3 cheeseburgers, sides appetizer, two cokes, and a margarita came to under $ 25! Great deal!

What a great place! My buddy and I skipped The Steak Out down the road with their notoriously mediocre food and faux cowboy ambiance in favor of The Café for one of best burgers you will find anywhere, great specials (see my picture) and spot-​on service. This place reminded me of a place I might find in the San Francisco Bay Area but with the strong Arizona accent that we all love. Well done!
