A great place to learn and expand your art skills. Friendly instructors and plenty of attention for students of all ages. You can experiment and learn new techniques to your heart’s content. I tried creating glass beads with a blow torch and ended up making some very nice Christmas presents.

We love ARTescape. My daughters and I have taken many classes here… from FREE art days of making bird houses and holiday gifts to Knitting and even recently glass bead making, using REAL blow torches. We held one of my girls recent birthday parties here. So affordable and wonderful. The staff and volunteers are great. There are classes for all ages.

As a resident of the Boyes Hot Springs area of Sonoma for several years, I was surprised to just recently learn that this place existed! And super happy to stumble upon it. I brought my 4th-grader I mentor to a dulcimer-making(and dulcimer-playing) class on a recent Saturday and she LOVED it. Richard, the instructor, took the students through the process of making the sturdy-cardboard instrument, painting it beautiful colors, and then learning to play a few songs. My mentee was so proud and just had a blast. It was 3−4-hour class on a Saturday morning. I’ve since learned more about this studio/school, and look forward to bringing my own little one(he’s only a year old) to take classes when he’s a little bigger. But they have art classes of all types for all ages and skill levels. Aside from the tourist-friendly Sonoma Plaza, there isn’t much in terms of art in the other parts of our little town. ARTescape is quite the gem here on this side of Sonoma, and everyone should take advantage of it!
