These wines really blew me away. I’m not much of an oenophile, so I can’t tell you what makes them so special, but they’re different from any other wine I’ve ever tasted. They’re smooth and interesting and have none of that bitter after-bite. The winery itself is very homey and intimate(and has a really nice selection of food for purchase as well), but the wines here are a must-try — and you can only purchase them at the winery itself, so all the more reason to visit!

The big plus here is the grounds, with hiking paths and beautiful views. A great spot for a picnic!

Love that they allow dogs in the tasting room. Was the sole reason we visited and we were not disappointed. Brought our lunch and bought a bottle to have a picnic outside. The hike was tougher than I thought but all in all was a wonderful day and so happy I got to spend it with my pup!

Love the outdoor picnic space! Would come back to picnic and explore the park and trail system. Wines are ok — ok taste, ok pricing, not great Still very worth coming here to picnic and hang out. We bought 2 bottles(rose and cab) to drink outside but skipped the tasting. Looked like there was a cool museum inside. Outdoor seating score: 4 Plenty of picnic spots and beautiful views of the vineyard vines!

Bartholomew Park Winery is on a historic, organically-farmed estate and specializes in white wines. White wine isn’t my thing, however, I do recommend stopping by if you are because the staff’s wonderful. There’s some items for purchase besides wine and I found it to be cheaper than downtown Napa. Make sure you pack a picnic and enjoy some food as well as wine on one of their many picnic benches.

Perfect spot for a wine tour around Sonoma. It has amazing views of the area, great picnic tables, quiet and nice. The wines are exquisite and the prices are more than fair. If that is not enough, they have a small cute museum inside telling the story of the Sonoma Wine Country. Definitely 5 stars.

Awesome intimate wine tasting with Bill. He knows so much about the history of wine and was happy to share his knowledge with us. This winery is unique as you can only purchase the wine on site. We loved the entire flight and left with 7 bottles of wine. We will store and savor the wines for years to come and recall our great experience!

Definitely I like this winery so far. I bought a bottle of Chardonnay and Rose. My favorite one is Rose! I should have bought one more Bottle coz I already drank it… if my family or friends visit me in CA, I’ll take them here for sure!

Bob the wine pourer said, «I like it all the same» and told me to quote him on that. I really like the colorful and yet vintage label on the bottles. The history is on the label and it’s well deigned. My favorites were: Zinfadel, Syrah and Cabernet Estate. I saw pictures that there is a hike. I didn’t do it, but if you do, grab a bottle of wine and picnic for the afternoon. Enjoy.

Small production winery that only does ~4k case/year. Very friendly staff but I wasn’t particularly impressed with any of their wine that I tasted. There’s a picnic area slightly up the hill and you can look down at their vines from there.

Impeccable grounds. Average wines. $ 10 tastings. Friendly bunch that work there. This would have been a solid 3 stars for me until we showed our Winery Finder app deal. Then things took a sharp turn. Their current check-in deal is a 2:1. The Winery Finder app(which is widely used and haven’t had a single issue in 3+ years) has a «complimentary 2 tasting» deal if you show your Visa Signature card. Upon showing our deal, the pourer immediately went off on us saying that she«didn’t understand that deal», that it «doesn’t exist», that it’s «only $ 5/person with their 2:1 deal» and«if they poured wine for free for everyone, the winery wouldn’t make any money». First off, thanks. I can do the math. It’s not about a $ 5 tasting. It’s the principal. There’s no point getting defensive and making me feel cheap in front of other guests. The winery clearly has a misprinted ad out there but instead of trying to fix the problem by at least acknowledging that they would look into it, they deny every part of it. Even the person that seemed to be the manager said that these other ad companies word things differently. I don’t think so. In fact, I had to recommend that they reach out to Winery Finder to prevent issues with future guests. Someone at the winery needs to do a better job managing their 3rd party promos. Not coming back here. That’s for sure.

The scenery and views at Bartholomew Park Winery are amazing! We brought our own food and the wine there made it a perfect day! They will definitely see us back.

Discovering Bartholomew Winery was such a nice suprise. The grounds are lovely with areas for picnicking and hiking. If you check in there is a tasting discount for Unilocalers. Be sure to try the Chardonnay, light with an easy finish. If you choose to do the hike, it’s about 3 miles(easy hiking) and offers some great scenery. Bring along your lunch and plan to spend an afternoon here.

Brownie points for being dog friendly– even in the tasting room! The property is HUGE here, filled with picnic tables. Great place for a picnic– and you don’t even have to taste here to picnic on their property. I saw a lot of people with their own chairs, food and beer enjoying their afternoon. Pretty cool. The tasting room itself was packed when we came by this weekend(perhaps because it was a long weekend). But it was hard to get to the bar to get tasting, you had to fight your way into the bar to get your next pour, or pour out the wine you are finished tasting, it felt chaotic. Almost like you trying to get a drink at the bar in a club — imagine that at a winery. There was no conversation with the servers and it just felt so impersonal. I’ve slowly come to appreciate the smaller wineries and the experiences there more. The Sauvignon Blanc and Syrah was very pleasant to the nose, and tasted quite nice. But I didn’t feel like it was worth the price. Oh well! The tasting price however was not bad at all, $ 10 for 6 wines– much better than Napa Valley. With that said, I do enjoy their property enough to recommend it for a picnic area. BYOS(bring your own stuff) and enjoy the sun on a nice day. ;)

Beautiful property with nice views to enjoy a delicious picnic. Drinking a glass of wine is a great idea, I just don’t recommend wine from Bartholomew. My husband and I did the tasting and hated every single wine. Do yourself a favor and have a picnic here but bring your own bottle!

After my less than stellar first review, sales manager Liddy sent me an incredibly thoughtful, pleasant message that was impressive enough to convince me to give them a second try. Next time I’m in Sonoma, I’ll definitely be back for another tasting.

When we walked into the tasting room and the counter was quite full. We waited for a spot, then walked-up and were greeted warmly. I wasn’t impressed with how little wine you get for your tasting compared to other wineries we’ve been to. Undeterred, we sampled the 6 wines and I enjoyed the Zinfandel the most of all the wines we tried. Our pourer didn’t really explain much about the wines to us, so I was a bit disappointed. I felt the wines were a bit pricey, but enjoyed our visit nonetheless.

Bartholomew Park Winery was the first winery we visited during our visit in Sonoma. Our limo arrived about twenty minutes before the winery opened, but Bob was kind enough to show us around the grounds and give us a personal tour of the vineyard before the doors opened. He was so friendly and knowledgeable and really made our visit feel special. The staff here is so friendly and they take pride in their wine. I am not a huge fan of white wines, but really enjoyed the Sauvignon Blanc that the winery is known for. It was a nice light and fruity wine, perfect for the summer! I enjoyed all of the wines we tried and our group to walk away with a bottle of the Sauvignon Blanc. TIP: the wine tasting is free if you have a VISA Signature card. They also waive the tasting fee if you purchase wine. This smaller winery is definitely a hidden gem and worth visiting if you are touring wineries in the area.
