What a great find. We found it by mistake — saw a rustic«lemoncello» sign on Napa road and went down a side street, behind a car repair show and voila! Owned by a young couple who transported themselves here from the midwest — they started out just making lemoncello — now they make several small batch spirits and their children make flavored oil and vinegars. They have several companies with different names — Hooker bourbon, Prohibition spirits and HelloCello. We didn’t do a full tasting this day as we’d already been wine tasting but her lemocello was yum — she also had a walnut and a fig cello and lots of other spirits to try. We will come back for a full tasting soon. Sweet place, lovely owner, a real find!

We stopped here with a group of 8 for my husband’s 30th birthday. It was a great way to finish the day! The space is pretty industrial and it’s not set up for giant tastings, but there’s a lot of eclectic furniture around and we were the only guests. We had booked a «distillery tour» in advance but basically ended up just getting a ton of tastes of different liquors/liqueurs. I was amazed at the variety they had, and if you like spirits, this is a definite great place to stop. The guys were really low key about how many tastes they gave us… it was obvious no one was counting. They also gave us tastes of some of their flavored olive oil, sauces, etc. I would recommend this to anyone who enjoys spirits, or even if you don’t — there’s plenty of cool things to try here.

Came up for the limoncello, but stayed for the tasting of 12 different liquors, ranging from vodka to whiskey to rum. WHOA! They’re all really good ~ my favorite being the Hookers House Bourbon: Cohabitation 7⁄21. I know, fancy tastes. :) The people are friendly, and they’re willing to answer whatever questions you throw their way. It’s a casual set-up and definitely one I would visit again. For a different kind of tasting up in wine country, book a tasting here:

What a cute spot! I had the privilege of checking out HelloCello HQ on a recent trip to Sonoma and we enjoyed the fruits of their labor. This spot is available for private parties and it’s so adorable. A small stage, disco ball, play area for kids, big vats of lemoncello and figcello to marvel at. There’s a bar inside as well and the owners are just as nice as can be. If you get the chance, definitely call and make an appointment with HelloCello or if you live in the area, call them and rent the space for whatever pachanga you’re planning.

I spent several incredible days in Sonoma, and picking a favorite anything would be really hard, but at the top of my list is most definitely the afternoon I visited Hellocello Headquarters. This is an invite-only type of event space. Or more specifically, a reservation-only. But, if was throwing a sweet Sonoma shindig, this space would be the first I’d look. From the bathroom’s dry-erase walls, where messages get progressively funnier as the day goes on, to the incredibly cocktails mixed with love by the resident mixologist, Fred, this place is just the bees knees. They have a stage set up for local bands to rock out. I heard rumors of lemon peel parties that rival any Sunday Funday I’ve ever thrown, and as with every other place I went in Sonoma, it’s the people that make make Hellocello special. Especially since these people make some of the tastiest beverages I’ve had in a long time. So, next time you’re in Sonoma, party like Lady Gaga — with a Hellocello cocktail in one hand and a Hooker’s House bourbon neat in the other!

Their Limoncello is good stuff. Smooth, clean and refreshing. I like it because its doesn’t have that strong burning afterkick that you get with some limoncellos. This one is easy to sip and enjoy after a meal. I serve it right out of the freezer in a frozen glass. Worth seeking out!
