Even being a local, I don’t go wine tasting often. I’m not a huge«wino», but have been enjoying Trying new wines and wine bars this past year. This place is an absolute tucked away gem! This was our first stop of 3 wine bars… and Passaggio was BYFAR the BEST! Amazing atmosphere, love love the décor and the wine variety was perfect! Frank was helping us today, and he was so great! Definitely plan on coming back again with some girlfriends!

I am no wine snob or connoisseur, but I do love a nice glass of wine. This was our first winery stop on our trip. The space felt cozy and comfortable, and its small size made it easy to talk to the sommelier. Located in the heart of Sonoma’s downtown, this is a great place to start your tour through wine country. Check in on Unilocal for a discount, too!

This place specializes in white wines. I don’t usually like them as much but loved everything I tasted. Great place!

We came here in January, my cousin and I for a girls trip, and this winery was by far my favorite out of all the ones we went to that weekend. The tasting room was so bright and colorful; decorated so well! The staff was great and super fun, and very smart! My cousin and I got such a kick out of her! They had some great deals on wines too, so we bought a few bottles and were able to take them home. This wine is my FAVORITE wine too, so it was just so much fun! Can’t wait to come back!

I always seek out boutique wineries. Most craft their wines with a passion that can not be duplicated by the larger producers. Passaggio Wines is one of the BEST examples of small production wine making I have ever found. Enjoy their new tasting room in Downtown Sonoma or explore their wines at . You’ll be glad you did!

Awesome wines and service!!! I do NOT like Chardonnays and in first taste I LOVED this one. It’s not buttery but rather fruity and light. Great service and The gentleman’s name is escaping me(his wife works at sigh and is awesome too) but he was amazing. I felt like home and that’s so important when tasting and deciding on a wine club. Every wine we tried, I was so surprised how good it was — we decided to sign up that day. So glad to be part of Passage!!!

There are just four things that we seek in wine tasting rooms: 1. Wines that we enjoy and purchase. Every wine we tasted had a place in our cellar. We just had to figure which ones now, which ones on our next visit. Small lots are very often great expressions of the wine maker’s skill. 2. Knowledge from gracious people. We’ve been to 100s of wine facilities over the years — the team of Heather Heraty(tasting room manager) and Cindy Cosco(Winemaker /Proprietor) will have you happy with no unanswered questions. 3. Comfort. You feel welcomed into a warm, attractive place with comfortable surroundings. 4. Value. Passagio wines are not inexpensive but they are great values. Quality like this is not found in most venues, especially at their price points. So that’s four out of the five stars. I guess that the fifth star is because we felt welcomed to enjoy delightful expressions of the wine maker’s art at reasonable prices… Yes, come here before going to the large, frantic tasting rooms or the very overpriced boutiques.

We came this past Sunday night and had a wonderful experience. The guy was knowledgeable and extremely friendly. He was informative and just made the experience so great for us. I had the truffle and omg… I really wish I had another one haha! Great experience really fun!

Visited the Passaggio Wines Tasting Room about a week ago. A very poor tasting experience. Found the wines to be universally disappointing, astringent, not complex and not balanced. There was nothing remotely interesting about the wines that would make me want to come back. They were simple, lean, charmless, and overpriced. Would be surprised if the tasting room lasts more than a year. If your a tourist coming to Sonoma and want to maximize your time tasting the best the area has to offer, might want to pass on Passaggio.

I am far from a wine expert, but I think that with over 4000 Unilocal reviews, I know what is a good business and what is not. Passaggio is a very good business. Across the street from the Sonoma Plaza Park and down something referred to as «Wine Alley» you’ll find a comfortable and welcoming place to try a handful of tasty wines in peace. Our party of six had no trouble being seated and the gal working the room did a great job of explaining what was in the wine flight, how each wine was made, what tastes we could expect and really helping educate us on this very small hand-crafted wine label. Paced slowly and with great detail, I felt educated. And to top it off, the vintner herself showed up towards the end. Awesome to speak with her, understand her wine journey, where and how these specific wines were made, and where things are headed. So of course, I bought a bottle of Passaggio to take home and share with someone soon. I hope you’ll do the same. Personal care and attention? Comfortable opportunity to enjoy a quality product? This is a good business. This is as good as it gets.

The experience at this tasting room is what visiting wine country is all about. When else do you get to taste wines with the winemaker and hear her incredible story about leaving her law enforcement career to pursue her dream. Aside from loving the wines(which are totally unique every year, and always seem to taste better than before), I feel I can call Cindy a friend — that’s how welcomed she makes you feel when you enter the tasting room. A refreshingly unpretentious and completely enjoyable visit — every time.

I’ve been to Passaggio’s tasting room five or six times since it opened, as I am a wine club member. The space is gorgeous for either tasting, having wine by the glass, or for a special event. I’ve been drinking the wines since around 2010 and they are consistently great, hand-crafted wines. The tasting room staff and winemaker are very friendly and accommodating. I feel welcome every time I visit. The location in Sonoma Square’s Vine Alley makes it an ideal wine tasting destination.
