I’ve used Severson Heating repeatedly and have been delighted by their ability to respond the same day to issues and their very reasonable prices. I have used them both for my home and for my rentals, same prompt service, same reasonable prices. The work has been far and above better than other trades persons. They do not cut corners. Severson has been incredibly reliable and kind when they have gone out to my Grandmother’s residence to help with her heating issues. I live out of town and have been able to call them to tend her heating needs. It’s always been in a timely manner, usually the same day. Highly recommended!

I do not recommend this company to anyone because of the hell I went through with them. The heater in my Tenant’s condo broke down last December 2010 and I asked them to call for service. Severson came and said they replaced a transformer and charged me $ 231 which I paid in Jan 2011. Come Jan/Feb, the heater was not working again, so I called them to check what went wrong and if there is a warranty for the work they just did. They said it depends on what is wrong. They charged me again for $ 281 for an unauthorized installation of another transformer and sent me an additional estimate for $ 661 to replace the wiring that is bad. In the meanwhile, the heater was not working. The tenant still did not have heat and temporarily used a portable heater. I questioned the bill and did not want to go on with the $ 661 estimate because I felt it will be never ending repair costing $ 231, $ 281 and $ 661 and not sure what the next repair bill would be and asked them what is really wrong with the heater because it appears with what they are charging me would add up to, I would be better with replacing it. They said they would call me back after they talk to the guy who repaired it. On June 29 at 10pm I get a call from them telling me they will put me in collection if I do not pay them the $ 281. I said they never got to fix it, and I let 2 other companies come and let me know what was wrong and they ended up fixing it for me. Both companies said that there was nothing wrong with the wiring and it looked like it was tampered and disconnected intentionally. Hmmm. I wonder why Severson Heating said I need to replace my wiring for $ 661 when 2 other HVAC technicians told me the wire was disconnected. I told Vera, the rude woman who called me at 10pm that I was in a teleconference meeting and would like to talk to her during normal business hours after my tenants come back from vacation July 10 and I ask them for the transformer to return to Severson. She accused me of lying and that I was not on a conference call and that my tenants are not on vacation and that I have to return the transformer. After I told her, ok I will return your transformer, then she said that I cannot return it after my tenants have used it to heat up their place for 6 months. First of all, where is my old original transformer and the transformer they replaced it with that I already paid for? I have the transformer to return to them. I will be filing a complaint against this company with the Better Business Bureau for their unscrupulous way of dealing with customers and telling me that they will put me through collections. They overcharged me, want to overcharge me again and fix something that was not broken before, sold me two overpriced transformers that did not work. I feel like they are shoving it in my throat and destroy my credit if I do not pay them for a non-working product they installed and gladly return to them. Do not be victimized by this Severson HVAC in Sonoma, call Accel instead for honest and dependable service.

Our air conditioner broke and with the weather report forecasting 90 degree weather I called Severson Heating and Air. They were able to be at my home within two hours and the problem was quickly fixed. The service charge was very reasonable and the technician was top notch!
