The Sonoma Ashram is a refuge off of Arnold Drive. It’s next to a nursery, and is a place of quiet. The yogi gives lessons, there are yoga classes in the yurt, and there’s also meditation with Indian sacred music. It’s always been a work in progress. The yurt is a new addition;there’s now a gift shop. At the communal kitchen, there are vegetarian/vegan meals for visitors. There is a special yoni(womb) shaped fire pit for puja(worship) as well as lingam symbols for Shiva. There is a syncretistic blend of Hindu, Buddhist, and Christian imagery throughout the property.
