A homey mom & pop feel. Not many of these places left especially in the bay area where I’m from. Employees were friendly and pizza was delicious. Called in a pick up order for two pizzas on President’s Day night. A large mother load and medium pesto Californian($ 34.88) I was quoted the price, a 45 minute wait time and given a location. They get confused with Mountain Mike’s a lot. We showed up early eager to stuff our faces with pizza, paid the cashier and waited a 10 mins. The mother load was great with tons of fresh toppings, good red sauce and crust. I was stuffed after 3 slices. It made good left overs for the next day. My in laws liked their pesto CA. When we are back in the area we will definitely get another pizza or try the pizza sandwich.

Found this gem on our way home from playing in snow for the day on Unilocal. It was about 5 min off track but well worth it. They have some good pizza that’s for sure. We had chicken, bacon & pepperoni. The place was clean & atmosphere was up lifting. Lots of video games for kids & service was awesome. Definitely coming back

I wish there were separate rating scales for food and customer service: Pizza-4 stars Customer Service-2 stars Wait time-worst ever We were in the mood for pizza so we thought choosing the place with the best reviews in a small town would be safe. WRONG! I called in our order at 6:15 and was told it would take about 30 minutes. So we rushed to check in at our hotel and then I hurried off to Mike’s to pick up the pizza. I got there around 6:50 and paid and was told they were busy so it would take another 20 minutes. One customer, tired of waiting asked for a refund. I checked again after 20 minutes and it was still not ready. I then chatted with some really nice locals until their pizza was ready and they left. I then checked in again and my pizza had been sitting on the shelf! 1 hour and 20 minutes later I was headed back to our hotel. NO real apolgies, no hook ups, no nothing! It still would have been an issue but at least telling me it was going to take longer up front would have been nice. At least the pizza was good but they did mess up on the toppings.

Come during the Wednesday all you can eat pizza nights and you will satisfy your pizza cravings! I’ve had so many kinds tonight that I am about to explode. I don’t usually do the all you can eat opportunities but this setup is unique. They come to your table and offer the many styles they serve. Here’s the kicker, they are a small chain and hey serve up fairly good quality pizza. It’s been rated the best pizza in Sonora for a reason. I’ve tried pepperoni, veggie, Mexican, Greek, Motherload meat, mushroom chicken, barbecue chicken, Margarita, and more. They even serve up their desserts after wasting yourself eating up as many pizza styles as the offer. Hey have a few beers to go with the pizza, I selected Sierra Nevadas Pale Ale. And the price for this marathon minus the beer? Less than $ 8. Yeah, you heard that right!

+1 to the guy who wondered what all the hype was about. If a Pizza Hut opened up out here, all the expensive, mostly canned/frozen gnarly homegrown pizza parlors would be gone by the time you turned around. This place is in the foothills of the Sierra Nevadas about an hour and a half drive from civilization — which for those of you who have never been here, especially crossing the fault line that separates “the valley” from “the foothills” — time pretty much stopped after 1957 — with a few places managing to continue on til maybe 1964 or ‘65 especially here. As expanded on below — Ordered the 20-inch sorry-excuse-for-a-meat-lover’s only because A) we were hungry, B) we weren’t anywhere near downtown and C) their even sorrier excuse for a “white pizza”(usually alfredo sauce, often with mushrooms and garlic over boneless chicken breast that you can get from dozens of places down in San Francisco or Silicon Valley anyday of the week for a third of the price) — was offered up with this tooth/wallpaper paste masquerading as ranch sauce that wouldn’t even be good on a SALAD. B-L-E-C-H. Neighbors down in the city have second/vacation homes and other ties out here in the boonies of California for 30 years — but as soon as they cross the county line, they forget what civilization is like and find themselves abducted back into some imaginary Reader’s Digest or Hallmark Hall of Fame fantasy Hyping up this “time-warp”(read ‘gourmet’) pizza i. e from an establisment, staff and equipment that looks as if it was frozen in time back in 1957 or 1965 is a laugh — Like Vaughan Meader makes fun of in The First Family ‘This dirt was a special bequeath from…’ and it looks well-preserved. Too bad Gordon Ramsay ain’t in the Reality TV biz no more cuz this place needs HELP with a Capital H. Horribly overpriced, crust and sauces resemble nothing anybody within an hour’s drive of civilization would tolerate even if it was FREE, i.e. crust not thin like a cracker crust but certainly not like a normal hand-tossed anyplace else). Very greasy and gross. Worse than Dominos or Little Ceasar’s. Point: if you’re not either starving to death after everything else is closed, can’t handle vending-machine fare at the hotel — or if you are not a long-in-the-tooth Sierran, absolutely avoid this place. The hype is all a buncha hot air and the Kirkland pizza at the Costco is both cheaper and better tasting, Bring the cafeteria pizza at your work along. It’s guaranteed to taste better for three dollars for three slices and a large pop. Next time, we either leave early and eat in Stockton/Modesto or else break out the lunchmeat, bread and cheese. Like the other Bay Area reviewer who pretty much said the same thing — the girl gave coupons for free pizzas next time. I used em to pick up my dog-doo. Blech. BBBZZZZTTTT — thank you for playing!

Best in town!!! Try the Greek Goddess, BBQ Chicken, or All Meat! Normally I am not a fan of Bbq chicken pizza, but this one is fantastic.

We can’t wait to get into town and stop by for a Mike’s pizza. Amazing pizza, crispy crust, great sauce and just the right amount of cheese and toppings. Their salad bar is fresh, clean and has a good selection. We have yet to be disappointed.

Pizza is ok if you don’t mind eating in a filthy restaurant. The place was not that busy and we had ask for someone to clean a table just to have place to eat. The guy cleaning the setting area was very up professional. Food and trash on the floors. Piles of dirt on the kitchen floor. Look like they just swept the dirt into pile but didnt bother to pick it up. Then we had to reoder our pizza because they didn’t make what we ordered. Won’t be eating here anytime soon.

We were celebrating our daughters 4th birthday with a group of friends and their kids. I called earlier in the day to see if they could accommodate our group at the time we were shooting for. They offered to reserve a few tables ahead of time and have the pizzas pre-made so when the group arrived it was only a matter of cooking them, with a turn around of 7 minutes. With a group of young children timing is key, and all the employees went out of their way to make our celebration go smoothly. Besides the great service, the pizza was delicious. Unique pizzas with tremendous flavor!!! I have always been a fan of Mike’s Pizza, but the Sonora franchise has never let me down. We had a wonderful experience!!!

We are out of towners looking for good food at good prices. We hit the jackpot at Mike’s. Our party tried four different mini pizzas for lunch and all were excellent. The salad bar was stocked with fresh ingredients and a variety of dressings as well as different oil and vinegar selections The lunch special with the salad and drink is a good deal. The staff was friendly and helpful. We finished off our meal with a mother lode cinnamon bread that tastes like a very good cinnamon roll, only messier(in a good way). We will keep this place on our list of eateries to visit again when we are in the area.

Great service. Yummy food. Kids had a blast with the video games and quarter goodie machines. Nice environment. We will stop here every time we visit Gold Country. We had the pesto with chicken and vegetarian pizza with jalapeños poppers. YUM

The pizza here is incredible, it has pretty much ruined all other pizza for me because it just can’t measure up to Mike’s. The crust is always thick and delicious, the ingredients meld perfectly and the beer is cold!

So I tried this place after all the raving on Unilocal! To my disappointment this place is good; just average pizza. Not as GREAT as everyone proclaims. We ordered the Hawaiian pizza which they add complimentary bacon to. I personally prefer Roundtable and this pizza is somewhat similar but it doesn’t have that wow factor. I recommend it if your looking for something quick, fast and decent. The price is pretty fair too.
