Sonora Trading Post

We recently move to this area into we wanted new furniture for our new home! Julie help me with our purchases, we bought a sectional couch set, living room table, two dressers, two mattresses and two bed bedframes. Quick delivery which was great. Why fours stars, they forget some of our orders and bought the wrong piece and then I didn’t know my bed were extra long– my fault. In the end, they had another crew to come out with the rest of our furniture and set up and moved things around for us and we are quite happy with everything.

I bought an arm chair here last year and within a few months the legs were loosening. We tried tightening them but they kept coming loose again. I called on a Friday once and left a message with the person who answered and was told I would get a call back the next week, but never did. After a couple of attempts to contact the right person, I had to stop by the store to get a response. I scheduled a day for someone to come and fix the chair legs. Someone did come out at the scheduled time. However, he just looked at the legs, tightened them down as we had done, and said to let him know if they come loose again. They did. I went through the same process of trying to get a hold of someone again, leaving messages, and finally they had someone take the chair away to get repaired. It was gone for at least a month, so I presume they sent it back to the manufacturer. After it came back, within a few weeks, the legs were loosening again. To me, this was obviously a poorly made chair. We never even used it much; it was meant to be more decorative than anything and it was mostly only sat in when people came to visit. By this time, life got complicated with other things (starting a new job, school, and a new baby in the house) and I wasn’t able to recontact Sonora Trading Post for several more months to complain again. We just kept tightening the legs when they were loose. Finally, one of the legs kept loosening so much that it was bending inward and I was afraid of safety. I called the store (still less than a year after purchase) and spoke to the owner. I was told that maybe the chair had been overused (which is a ridiculous to me to suggest about furniture – if you’re sitting in it and moving it here or there to different parts of the room, it’s normal use, and even that we didn’t do as much as the other furniture in the house which is holding up fine and all purchased elsewhere) and that the chair was discontinued so there was nothing they can do other than send it back again to the manufacturer. He also criticized me for not complaining sooner! I asked for some kind of compensation, perhaps a partial refund, and for them to take it away and was turned down. I will never go back to this store – they apparently sell low-​quality furniture at somewhat high prices – and they do not offer any sort of guarantee for customer satisfaction.

Funny that they have only one review. So we have a house in Pine Mountain Lake and they are the only real game in town, and a good game they have! We have now bought kitchen table, end table, chairs, bar stools and beds from them. Today I bought a new couch for a good price. They can deliver quickly and easily and haul away for a reasonable price.

Sonora Trading Post is hands down the best furniture store around. Not only do they deliver free in the area, but they price match! If you are thinking about buying from ANY store, think again. They have great prices and assemble your furniture FOR FREE! In the past I have bought from IKEA… big mistake. Assembling my furniture was time consuming and difficult, and as it turns out it was not any cheaper! This is a family run business and they truly care about their customers… if you have any problems they will meet you needs and they deliver excellent products!
