Their Sunday gravy and homemade bread is the best! The ricotta they serve with the gravy is to die for. They have this interesting charcoal bread, that sounds weird, but it’s great! Their salted caramel dessert was also amazing! Can’t wait to come back for more good eats this Tuesday!

Been there many times. Their pizza isn’t half bad. Last time I had it was about a year and a half ago, but the parking is still good and the service was very nice. Just don’t get it as often as we use to when I visited my grandmother.

Great food. We went there just after 3 on a weekend. Note, lunch menu stops at 3 pm. We ordered the CAPRICCIOSA pizza. It had red sauce(SANMARZANO), HOMEMADEMOZZARELLA, EVOO, BASIL, HAM, ARTICHOKES, CALAMATA Olives. We had the mushrooms removed. It was fantastic. To be honest, my mom wanted this and I went along with it but I thought I might not like the combo… it was fantastic. The dough was great. And they give you bread and olive oil(with a pesto dip) to start. We actually bought a couple loaves of the bread to go. We also had a house salad to start that was fresh mixed greens. I will definitely be back.

I do not appreciate receiving a message to my comment from the owner of the business over six months later. First — My husband did give you the name of the neighbor. The neighbor was not the one who moved — we moved. Second — the paper certificate was not fake — it was the signature that you did not approve or recognize. Third — You did not state that you wanted to call the police at the restaurant. We stated that we were going to go to the police with the certificate. Lastly, the next day after I posted a review you called our home(an unlisted number) six times in two hours and hung up. Then you left an angry message referencing our small business — which means not only did you look up our phone number, you looked up our employment. Your comment just reinforces how unprofessional you and your business is. Do Not Contact us again.

Favorite place in Souderton, Harleysville and Telford. Best pizza hands down. They have a brand new fire oven that creates the most interesting dough flavor for their calzones and pizza. They have breakfast on Sunday’s and Flatbread special is fantastic. The Owners are friendly and passionate about their food

Love this place. Great personal sized pizzas, fabulous waitresses, excellent entrees. Great for the kids and the staff/owners are super kid friendly. Celebrated my birthday here and they were good about bringing our own cake. Prices are very fair and food is good!

We stopped by here after driving past it for a week. And I’m so glad we did! From the homemade pesto to the delicious meatballs rhe entire meal was delicious. We shared the antipasto platter whivh had fresh mozz, ricotta, artichokes and other yummy things I cant remember. I had lobster ravioli which did not skimp on the lobster and my boyfriend had the clams linguine which was simple but well executed. I had tiramisu which was good but blow outnof the water by the salted caramel boudini cake! Another time I had pizza here and the dough was light and airy but I could have used a few more toppings. The staff is friendly ans cheerful.

Wow. The pizza here is amazing and extremely tasty. Friendly staff, too. One thing, though. The restaurant has an odd smell to it. Not a good one. I hate to say this, but like a bathroom smell.

From the moment you walk in the door and are greeted warmly by Rita, you know you are going to have a fabulous meal. You like pizza? There pizza oven knocks out seriously fabulous pies. Pasta? Fugghedaboudit — out of the ballpark. Their Sunday Gravy is my standby. Never ever disappoints!!! Everything is fresh and homemade. The staff hustle and get the job done while still taking a moment to chat. This is where I go with my Italian friends who know the difference.

Service and atmosphere was nice. The menu wasn’t exciting. Therefore, I ended up with a flavorless chicken parm dish. The prices were pretty high considering the low quality of food. I’ll try another Italian place before I come back here.

Absolutely love this place. I am one of those weird Italians with a basil allergy and they are meticulous about accommodating me. The food is extraordinary and the staff knowledgeable and friendly. The antipasto board is a must so is the crabmeat ravioli. Make a reservation on weekends and holidays. Don’t forget it’s BYOB. Salute!

Service was ok, food was ok. I had ravioli in a butter sage sauce. The sauce was quite watered down and the ravioli were swimming in it. Caesar salad dressing seemed a bit generic(bottled?) My mom ordered a chicken dish and wanted a side of plain pasta with it so she could use the lemon butter sauce from the chicken on the pasta as well. They charge $ 8 for a side of pasta with red sauce, which is quite high for a side, and didn’t seem to want to accommodate her request for a side of plain pasta, so she skipped it. Pizza with truffle and egg was good.

I live near Carusos and go back every 2 years to give them another chance. Ever hear of pasta fagioli? They haven’t. I was served spaghetti soup! My table mates laughed. After the server asked me if I wanted Alfredo sauce on my linguini and clams in white sauce… who the heck ever heard of that… I got scared. The clams in the linguini were bad. Removed them and ate the pasta. All soups were served luke warm. The server spent more time texting than serving Other dinner mates found their meals average and found it interesting all sodas were served in glasses less than full. And what’s the nonsense of bringing the check in a cigar box? Chic? No. Tacky? Yes. I vote with my wallet. Never again

Had a great first experience here, but my most recent visits were disappointing. The menu(and possibly the chef?) has changed, and not for the better. My all-time favorite dish is from a restaurant in San Francisco: gnocchi served in a red sauce with roasted eggplant and a ricotta mixture. I was ecstatic to see that Caruso’s new menu had a very similar menu item, so I excitingly ordered it. Unfortunately, the amount of eggplant was extremely skimpy, and the gnocchi was mushy. This was just one of several let downs here. Though the pasta is homemade and the service is usually good, I do not think I will be back.

This review is long overdue. Went here on an invite from the owner. The night we went they were pretty busy even though it was late and rightly so. The food is fantastic and the portions are generous. The menu is surprisingly large for a restaurant of this quality, usually you only see menus this big at diners or chain restaurants where most of the food is not made fresh on premises, so that says a lot about what’s going on here. I was easily able to cut the chicken pieces in the dish I got with my fork. The interior is so cool, nothing else like it in the area really. The whole layout and feel is very comforting. There’s no official definition of what makes a place a bistro, but when I think of the word this is the local restaurant that comes to mind. Service was good though the server we had that night, an older gentleman, was incredibly dry and all business. Didn’t dislike his service, just wish he had been friendlier. I think what a friend of mine said pretty much sums it up. Knowing that he lives in the area I told my friend that my wife and I had gone here for dinner and I recommended it to him. He said, «oh I know Carusos, I have to keep my distance from that place.» I gave him a perplexed look. Then he explained and said, «I can’t control myself there, I love everything they make.»

As a Philadelphia native, I’ve certainly had my share of good Italian food. From Ralph’s in South Philly to Zaccones in the Northeast, and many in between. Now cloistered out in the burbs of Lansdale/Harleysville, my family is always looking for our ‘New’ spots for the essentials, and in our world a good Italian dinner on sunday at least once a month is something we strive for. Caruso Brick Oven was a very nice surprise. The staff were warm and friendly from the get-go. The bread was tasty and the dipping oil was flavored with a wonderful fresh basil purée, and a tomato purée. My son would have stuffed himself on it if we didn’t control his sneaky fingers. Salad course was just ok, but the entrée’s were delicious enough to overshadow the greens. I had the CACIOCAVALLOSTUFFEDMEATBALLS. Outstanding!!! With a side of the Rigatoni it was certainly more than I could finish. Luckily my son loved them too, so he had a bit of mine with his kid’s portion ravioli. All of the pasta was al dente and floating in not-too-much pomodoro sauce that was bright and sweet, exactly how I prefer it. It was tomato sauce that tasted like tomatoes. Great for dipping what remained of the bread. My wife had the Chicken Pesto and Portabello panini, which was delicous. Enough for dinner and a lunch the next day, but the size of the portions are just a nice aside. Size without flavor is meaningless, and none of our dinners lacked flavor. Definitely our new goto for Italian. Worth the 20 minute trip from the front door.

Went to lunch/dinner there for a surprise birthday party. I had never been there, so I had no expectations walking in the door. We were sat down stairs in a private room. It was nice since we had small children and they could walk around without bothering other guests. We had an amazing server, I cannot recall his name, but he sounded Italian and gave amazing service. We started out with some appetizers and by some, I mean we ordered just about everything. We were a party of 15 very hungry people. We had the mozzarella fritta, caprese, bruschetta, and the vegetable board. We devoured everything. I ordered the Chicken Marsala, bf ordered spaghetti with clams, sister order the chicken parm sandwich, and toddler had the ravioli. My chicken Marsala was good, needed a little salt, but otherwise tasty. The spaghetti with clams was great. It came with a lot of clams and I definitely stuck my fork in his pasta dish a few times. My sister enjoyed the very large sandwich and took half of it home. My daughter gobbled up the ravioli. My only complaint about hers, was it was too small. For a three year old to eat the entire thing, even after appetizers means the portion was a little bit small. I’m not huge Italian food fan, but this meal was great. The prices are great and I forgot to mention it’s also a BYOB. It’s a cute little restaurant with impeccable service.
