Home Stat is owned and operated by the only inspector, Gene who is very knowledgeable and thorough. I have bought 5 homes in my lifetime and tried Home Stat today, and this was the best inspection experience I have had in terms of thoroughness, knowledge, and value. I would only use Home Stat (Gene) again in the future… and I don’t usually ever take the time to go and write a glowing review but he really earned it.

I have to agree with the other reviews. Gene arrived early and was extremely knowledgeable. Took his time, educated us on how to maintain a home, even taught us some tricks in order to save money. Very friendly and personable. I plan on referring him to any of my friends if they ever need an inspector. And yes, his pricing is best from many other quotes I received. He met beyond my expectations.

My husband and I hired Home Stat inspections, we where meet by Gene Regan who not only did a great inspection but he took his time explaining to us how maintain such things as boil, hot water heater etc. my real estate agent and the sellers agent where present and so impressed by him. I had some questions a few days later and he was ready and willing to help. I highly recommend him. Also his rate was lower the the competitors.

Our realtor recommended Gene, who is the inspector for Home Stat.
He was early for our appointment (good sign) and really knew what he was talking about. He accurately guessed the age of the roof as soon as he looked at it — even the realtor was impressed by that trick!
He took his time going through the house, all the while explaining what he was looking at and giving advice on maintenance and what he would do in ways of improvement if the house were his.
The written report is very handy, as we’ve already referred to it a few times. And even a month plus after our inspection I had a question about the house and he called back with an answer within minutes.
I would recommend this company for sure. Very responsive, easy to deal with, average price ($ 400 for our house w/basement), and having him as a reference down the road gives me peace of mind.
