My granddaughter and I both enjoyed our meals. It all looked good and tasted even better. Service was quick too.

They have great food! I mainly have gone for breakfast and both the food and service are great. I won’t go anywhere else for breakfast but here.

Normally, when I go to a restaurant by myself, I like to go at least twice to make sure I’m getting a fair idea of what they have, and haven’t gotten the one awesome/terrible dish. But this place is kind of out of the way — I pass it when I’m going to Chicago, but it’s rarely at a time when I’m hungry. This time, I was hungry. Hadn’t had dinner yet. And I was kinda craving Mexican food, until I stopped at home and smelled someone cooking. Then I wanted diner food. So I thought, hey, this place is on the way, I’ll just stop there! And I did. And I went inside and sat down, and ordered a breakfast plate. But they were out of sausage gravy! They executed this very well, by the way: sincerely apologetic, yet professional. So I decided to get the huevos rancheros. Did I mention that they also had a lot of Mexican food? Anyways, it was pretty good: the sauce was redolent with roasted tomato flavor, and the beans were fine. And then I got to the fried tortilla hiding at the bottom under everything and I was like OHMAHNARSOCRISPYANDTASTY. I’m kinda glad I ended up getting Mexican food anyway. The coffee was your typical weak inoffensive diner coffee. So…yeah. If the option came up again, I’d probably go back.
