I absolutely love this pizza and location. The pizza is hot, fast, fresh and delicious. Their signature pizzas are fantastic, or you can make your own. All of the workers are hard-working and incredibly friendly. This has become my go to pizza joint!

I ate here recently and me and two others from my party definitely got food poisoning from this pizza.

Really delicious! I love the«build your own» option. You can also try any of their nicely planned suggestions. My husband ordered the red vine pizza and added a few ingredients to it. He thought it was the best personal pizza that he had in a while. I created a meat pizza with a bunch of different cheeses– it was yummy! I would recommend this place. Friendly, great price, and plenty of options.

I’m a huge fan of Blaze in general, and I’ve visited locations in several different cities around the country. It’s a great chain — so great that after my first experience at a(different) Blaze, I actually called my friends and family in some of the other cities that have a Blaze and asked them if they’ve been there before. If I had to rate the chain as a whole, I would give it 5 stars easily, but I’m rating this one based on this specific location. This location is good, but it’s noticeably not as great as other Blaze locations for a couple of reasons. But let’s start with the good for those who have never been to a Blaze location before: Blaze is honestly the Chipotle of pizza places, minus any of the health issues. Blaze allows you to make your pizza any way you’d like, with a huge range of topping options, and all for a very affordable price and all in only a couple of short minutes. They have vegan and gluten free options in addition to all of the regular pizza toppings you might be looking for, and everything is fresh and labeled with an estimated calorie count in case you’re interested in that. There’s enough variety for you to eat it every day for a week and probably still not be tired of it. Usually, Blaze locations are extra awesome about accommodating vegan and vegetarian customers, too. In every other Blaze location I’ve been to, if you say you’re ordering vegetarian or vegan, the worker who puts the toppings on the pizza will automatically switch to new gloves if they’ve touched meat. There’s also always a separate pizza cutter for vegetarian pizzas, so that you don’t accidentally end up with any accidental transfer of meat. It’s an awesome policy, and it really makes you feel like the company genuinely cares about the customers. HOWEVER, I’ve noticed over the course of several visits that that service is lacking a bit at this location. I’m not super picky, so I don’t usually bother asking the staff to change gloves when they put my toppings on, but on one occasion, I was there with a friend of mine who has a major allergy that she informed the staff of, and when she requested the worker change his gloves, the man rolled his eyes and grumbled about it. SUPER unprofessional, and way out of line for what I expect at a Blaze. I’ve also noticed that the staff at this location has to be reminded if you want them to use the vegetarian pizza cutter(something I am particular enough about to ask for, even though I don’t ask them to change their gloves). It’s not a huge deal, but it’s disappointing for a Blaze. Still, the place is much more considerate of allergies and dietary restrictions than most places in the area, so maybe I’m holding them to too high of a standard for the Midwest. I think it’s more of just a staff training problem, though. Other reviews have touched on this too, but this location does happen to mix up to-go and dine-in orders fairly often. It’s a quick easy fix, but it’s definitely a pattern of not paying a great deal of attention. tl/dr; Great food as always, but the staff here isn’t quite as awesome as the staff at most other Blaze locations. PROTIPS: The spicy red sauce is actually pretty spicy. Also, if you have any allergies or dietary restrictions, after you tell the workers, be sure to keep an eye on the staff as they’re working with your pizza, because you may need to remind them to switch gloves or switch pizza cutters.

Took my friend from out of town over to Eddy St to grab lunch yesterday. First of all, there was nothing fast about this experience. Let me start at the beginning… We got in line and barely had to wait til a nice man greeted us and asked us if we had been there before. We told him no, so he explained the ordering process to us. He was super nice and professional. We both decided do the«make your own» pizzas. While he was helping us, two young women that he was friends with entered the line behind us. His demeanor completely changed. They were recording him on Snapchat, and he immediately started ‘acting hard’ to impress them. All sense of professionalism he had before with us was now gone, because they were teasing him for working. As we went down the line to choose our toppings, they snapchatted(video recorded) the whole thing, which I thought was bizarre but I didn’t say anything bc I’m non-confrontational. He started to complain that he was having to put on our toppings, because I guess someone else should have been at that station. He was wearing gloves, but proceeded to pull up his pants, touch his clothing, etc and then touch the ingredients as he put them on our pizza(think Chipotle or Subway). My friend and I paid, sat down and waited for our orders to be called(they ask for your name). They called my name after probably 5 minutes or so, and I went up to find my friend’s pizza sitting on the counter, so I brought it back to her. I didn’t see my pizza anywhere, and he insisted that one sitting on the counter that I didn’t order was mine. Um, I know I didn’t put spinach and ham on my pizza… Everyone started scratching their head because somehow my pizza disappeared. Along with the 2 women and the worker that prepared it for me… that recorded the entire order on their phone. I can only imagine that they recorded it to joke to their friends that I was ordering(and paying for) a pizza that that they were planning on eating. Meanwhile, the manager is in the back just standing in the office with the door open the whole time, not appearing to be doing anything. Everyone gets super confused, because now all the trays with people’s names on them are all completely out of order since my pizza got stolen. A different worker offers to make me a new pizza, but huffs and puffs and complains THEENTIRETIME I’m re-ordering, like it’s my fault that someone else took the pizza I paid for? None of the employees have name badges, so I have no idea how to complain about either employee, especially the one that disappeared with my pizza. Meanwhile, someone else is standing there waiting for their order, which they ended up returning for completely charred/burnt to a crisp crust(they don’t use timers at Blaze, just try to keep an eye on the pizza). They were pretty busy for a lunch rush and probably had 8+ pizzas in the oven, all at varying degrees of «doneness.» A second person sent theirs back while I was waiting because the workers weren’t listening when she ordered and didn’t put on spinach or olive oil. The same worker that made my second pizza huffed and puffed the whole time she asked him politely to put on spinach and pop it back in the oven(he couldn’t understand why she didn’t just want raw spinach on her pizza). Then, as you can imagine, the line was even more backed up due to the mislabeled trays and refiring of 3 pizzas. No one was offered olive oil, spices/salt, or whatever sauces they have either. I just noticed while waiting another 5 minutes for a new pizza, while my friend waited to eat and hers got cold. SO after all that… the pizza is «meh.» Nothing special what-so-ever if you’re lucky enough to get one that’s not completely burnt. They don’t put a lot of cheese on at all, so if you’re looking for that cheesy-wonderfulness that you expect to get with pizza, go somewhere else. I’m a student at ND and frequent Eddy St for food at lunch and dinner — and will never go back to Blaze. I have a feeling it won’t last long and will soon be replaced with another chain… Their management needs to step up and be present with the staff so stuff like this doesn’t happen.

This place is amazing! We are new to the area and live trying new places. When we first walked I was hoping for other options than just pizza cause I don’t care for pizza at all. I was just about to leave when I saw the menu was only pizza and salads when one of the workers said have you ever been here before? I said no, we’re new to the area. He said well, you’re gonna love it, it’s the best in town! I said we’ll see, I don’t even like pizza! The workers laughed and I proceeded to order. I got the build your own for $ 7.45 as did my husband. I was happy to see white sauce cause pizza sauce is mostly why I don’t like pizza. I chose mozzarella, chicken, green pepper, marinated onions, pineapple, mushrooms and sea salt. My husband basically made a meat lovers and my daughter got a 1 topping pepperoni and chose white sauce too. We all 3 loved it! I love that you can build your own pizza or choose from their specialties. The prices are awesome! The employees were super helpful and nice! They all must love their job cause they were all happy and so kind. We will be back soon!

Visited from out of town. Loved the pizza and it was cheap! $ 7.95 for a pizza that i split with my boyfriend. Half a pizza won’t fill you up though, if you’re hungry due to the thin crust. But very delicious! Might just get a pizza entirely to myself next time.

I’ve eaten here about 4 times and I’ve yet to find anything bad to say about this place. For the price point, you can’t find a better pizza. Veggies are fresh, service is great and the wait isn’t long even if it’s a packed day. I would suggest the build your own over the specialty pizzas so you take advantage of all the topping options. This place takes what chipotle and qdoba do to another level!

I think my first experience was not representative, because it was too soon after this branch had opened. Excellent pizza with fresh vegetables, and thin crust. Vegan cheese is great!

Chipotle format pizza. It is definitely fast, ingredients were fresh. Not my favorite pizza though. I think Toscana pizza is much better and a better value. Blaze makes a terrible crust… it is designed to work with their quick format and lacks any yeast flavor at all.

Awesome pizza but a ghetto staff works here. They are unprofessional, uneducated and it makes for a poor ordering experience. Would like to just see a little more professionalism. As for the pizza, It is a great concept and they have delicious ingredients. You don’t feel full after eating Blaze because it is thin and crispy.

By far the best coal oven pizza in Elkhart! This place is recommended! The pizza here is real great. Your taste buds will love this pizza. The counter is like a Jersey Mikes. Combined with Tony Saccos. They make the pizza fast! 5 minutes or less! So don’t mess with the best pizza! «A place where you can charge your phone! And eat pizza! With unlimited drinks! No internet though.»

This place was awesome! I had never been here, nor my sister, and we decided to try it during our weekend trip for a baseball reunion. We’re from Ohio and wish we had a Blaze here! We’re total Chipotle fanatics, and love eating at places set up like Chipotle. We opted for the«create your own» pizza, and were completely delighted. There are so many toppings to choose from, and even various sauces and cheese. The staff was the absolute most friendly staff I have ever met in my life. We both totally felt welcome and in good spirits the whole time. The blood orange lemonade was out of this world too!

Perfect pizza! Perfect price! I love a place that combines good food and good prices. Blaze was described to us as the«chipotle of pizza» and that’s pretty much what it is. There are some canned options on the menu, but you adjust these how you like and of course you can just create your own pizza entirely. There are some great topping options, and not just the ones you normally expect: roasted garlic cloves, minced garlic, roasted red peppers, zucchini, kalamata olives and a bunch more. The crust is thin, but not so thin that it is like a cracker when cooked. It is chewy. They are personal pizzas, but if you are a light eater and with another light eater it’s easy to split one. We’re gonna be back again and again and again. :-)

Got a coupon for this place in the mail and will certainly be returning(partly because it was really good and partly because I forgot my coupon at home). I’ve been looking for a place to fill the Hotbox-shaped hole in my heart and honestly, Blaze is waaaay better. For only $ 7.45 you can make a completely customizable pizza, or you can choose from the predesigned ones they have. I created my own and it was really good for the price. Especially happy about the roasted garlic cloves you can put on there! The line was long when I went but it moved pretty quickly, and the pizzas are cooked fast so the wait wasn’t bad at all. Seating was a little limited with the crowd so I might recommend going at non-peak hours, at least until after they’ve been open for a little while.

Since my first review of Blaze Pizza I have been back three times. It’s fair to say I am OBSESSED. The toppings are so fresh and diverse. I have discovered the holy grail of pizza. Red sauce, mozzarella, feta, mushrooms, sautéed onions, garlic, Roma tomatoes, oregano, sea salt, and a pesto drizzle. It’s amazing. The crust is no longer burnt and much crispier. The service is amazing and even when the line is out the door, you get through it quickly. I am so happy with this edition to Eddy Street Commons! Blaze has promise and fills a need for South Bend, especially with offering gluten free and vegan options, for an up charge. I can’t wait to go back and try it again! It’s a neat concept! It is Chipotle in the pizza world!

Well okay then. I was not expecting how awesomely good this place is. And it’s super cheap too. If this place were a car it would definitely be a Chevy Impala. You aren’t going to break the bank but if you are looking for a solid all around vehicle then there’s nothing better. Like a Chevy Impala, the pizza is highly customizable. You want chrome wheels and yellow flames on the side? You got it. You want fuzzy dice hanging from the mirror? Of course. The entire experience is completely up to you. This place let’s you ball on a budget. I will be coming here again.
