It might be a chain, but that doesn’t stop them from baking delicious breads, brownies, scones, and other assorted baked goods from scratch every day. With so many shops simply using«baked fresh» to imply nothing more than pulling frozen dough out and warming it up it’s nice to see a bread store do it right from the start. Don’t be afraid to try their dessert breads. It’s like a coffee cake /crumble /pie baked into bread form. As a tip — they have a rotating menu of specialty breads that are baked on a specific day each week. They also sell day old bread at a steep discount and offer slicing services on all their loaves if you so desire.

Worth the trip. The staff was very friendly and helped explain their products to me when I told them it’s my first trip in. They have AMAZING coffee cakes. I can’t wait to try the other pastries soon!

Every bit the equal of an artisan baker in a major city, and a lot cheaper to boot. The baguettes are amazing and an absolute must-have for any Italian or French meal… apparently they employ imported French ovens to get a perfect finish on these. Pie breads, especially apple and blueberry, are excellent for french toast or just to eat, and the muffins and biscotti are equally good. No better place in South Bend for baked goods, and not very expensive either.

Exceptional baked goods. The selection of bread varieties changes daily. Ask a staff member about their monthly calendar and don’t forget to check out the samples!

Great breads and friendly service. They have blueberry bread, apple bread and cherry bread which makes for excellent French toast.
