I’m writing this five stars so that you’ll see it and read the review! I walk in and ask the guy at the counter if the staff who is going to be making my food if they are wearing gloves it is very sad that I have to ask that question! At this location they do not wear gloves so I asked the staff about that and they told me that the St. Joseph County health Department came in and told them they don’t have to wear gloves that makes zero sense to me at all any other place I go the staff wears gloves either the St. Joseph County health Department is out of their minds or something is off someplace! If you would like to go to this gyros and have your food made with no gloves be my guest I will not be one of the people who chooses to do that! The staff says that they use tongs OK fine but I have been at this gyros before where they use tongs and then they will touch your bread with their dirty nasty hands so it does not make any logical rational sense to me what so ever! Eat here at your own risk!

Excellent BBQ! The homemade sauce is the perfect balance of sweet and tangy. Staff is extremely friendly and enthusiastic. Stopped in on a road trip — seems like a genuine hometown kind of place.

On a return trip from Chicago to Cleveland. Had to leave Chicago before lunch places were opened, so I reluctantly stopped in South Bend at this joint. I saw this was a chain and assumed it would not be very good. Boy was I wrong. I only got the Italian beef, but man was it good. It included a red sauce, hot peppers, and provolone cheese on a big hoagie roll. The sandwich was outstanding. My only disappointment was they would not sell the beef in bulk so I could bring some back to Cleveland.

If your ever in the south bend area stop here, good beef, good gyros, and you most definitely have to order the homemade rice pudding!

Gyro perfection! The meat is seasoned perfectly, juicy, and full of flavor. I ordered the Jr gyro basket and was amazed at how big the bag of fries were. They are the skinny crispy fries. Again perfectly salted and the right amount of crisp. Definitely one of the best gyro places around. They have multiple locations around the South Bend area. I’ve been to several and have never had a bad meal.

The pita bread is amazing and the portion size is great for the price. The food was brought out quickly and the employees were helpful.

I live very near here and I only eat here every 1 or 2 months when I’m REALLY craving a gyro. I been in several times and almost without exception the counter girls have an attitude. A couple days ago I went in and got the«Jr. Gyros Basket» — the girl would not let me get a regular size gyro — she wanted to sell me everything«al carte» which whould have been almost $ 5 more! I asked for my fries to be made fresh(as ALWAYS) and I saw the cook mix the new freshly made fries in with the old fries that were in the holding tray under the hot lights. As I sat down and started to eat I saw there was a show about children with terminal cancer on the big screen T.V., the sound echoing through the entire restaurants speaker system. Little«Timmy» had some cancer that was killing him and YOUR generous donation might help save his life! This went on and on– finally some guy at the table next to me went and asked one of the counter girls to change the channel — which she did with a begrudging look on her face. REALLY…YOUDON’T GETTHATYOURCUSTOMERSDON’T WANTTOWATCH A SHOWABOUTCHIDRENDYINGOFCANCERWHILETHEYTRYANDENJOYTHEMEALTHEYJUSTPURCHASEDATYOURRESTAURANT!!! HAVESOMECOMMONSENCE!!! The food here is edible but the atmosphere and attitudes push me somewhere else 99% of the time.

It’s been quite some time since I’ve been there. When I have time to visit my friend down there, this is where we grab a few gyro platters with extra pitas. I tried other gyro places, and so far this my favorite! They give you enough portions to last you for the next day snack.

Great, well-run Chicago-Style gyros joint. Owner cares about the quality of the product and it shows. This place would thrive even in the highly competitive Chicago market.

Absolutely amazing! My husband had the rib tips meal and I had the gyro meal and they were both delicious! Mind you, my husband is from Memphis so he knows BBQ and therefore very picky! The fried mushrooms aren’t too good; in fact my husband said if they came with a dip they would be better. I had the baklava at the end of my meal and it was okay, definitely worth the $ 1.50 we spent for it. The french fries were decent and would taste better if they were fresh. If passing through this area — this place is a MUST eat! Plus, it helps that it has a drive thru, too!

gyros are big and cheap. I’m not really a gyros fan, but it tastes ok. though the«meat» didn’t look very fresh. Open late. They have non-carbonated fruit punch which is great, free refills. Tv with ESPN. They give a lot of fries, not overly salted like McDonald’s.
